Whelen Cencom Sapphire siren. This is my first siren mod, so PLEASE let me know of any bugs or if anything is wrong with the siren, and I will do my best to fix it! Sirens include horn, wail, yelp, and piercer. Here is a sample of what it sounds like:

It would have been nice to let an entire loop of the siren play on the video, we can't really judge if it was looped properly :(

I'm working on making a new video so you can hear the loop! I'll try to have it ready in a few minutes.

Thanks for the update, but I'm still not able to get this to work. I have read your original readme and the updated one!

I had the american siren pack installed in a desktop folder that contained the vehicles.oac and vehicles folder, and tried replacing the tones with these tones, as well as deleted the specified files.   no luck.  the old tones either remained or the sound dictionary was muted.  please note that after deleting the specified files and attempting to import the updated vehicles.oac to the resident.rpf, it took about a second before popping up saying that not all files were transferred then under the details it said that file was missing.  it almost seemed like there were other files that may have not transferred.

In light of this I exported to openformats a vanilla copy of the vehicles.awc to a desktop folder and imported that to my modded game version and all siren tones were returned to stock. no issues.  Then I deleted the specified files again and replaced the police tones. I have confirmed that the tones in the vehicles folder are in fact these whelen tones. When importing the .oac, the same popup came up, and i proceeded to the game to see if it worked, but all tones are still game-stock.

Any idea how to remedy this or trick the openiv or the game into thinking it doesnt need the files you specified to delete so it will import the files?

once i get this installed i will be happy to leave a review.  thank you!

What Charger model is that?

It is the 2015 Dodge Charger by thehurk with BradM's Blaine county sheriff texture pack.

The wail siren has a little pop towards the end.  That would be the 9446 siren.

Will you be able to fix the pop on the wail?  I tried to do it myself but it looks like actual audio is missing.  The siren jumps from one tone to a lower tone and the pitch in between is just not there, so it's impossible to fix, at least for me.

This siren is absolutely amazing buddy! Well done! I was wondering one thing though. While using the firetruck the main siren is not the siren from this mod but rather the ingame one. When I hold down "R" to use the main siren while tapping it works fine but when the siren is in the full use mechanic while having the siren turned on for looping, it is the generic GTA 5 firetruck siren. Do you know a possible fix for this?

If you want to use the siren just for fire truck use, re-name the audio file to match fire truck identity and install it the same way you'd install the police siren.

The thing is that everything with the siren works except for the main siren when it loops. When I hold down "R" the siren obviously plays and has the sound as the it should with the cencom, but when it comes to turning on the siren for example using for lspdfr "J" and then turning on siren 1, it plays the generic ingame GTA 5 Firetruck siren. Is there a way to fix this?

When I tried using the siren in game all the other tones worked except the wail.
