@Quasar Thank you so much! I have edited the keybindings in PLD under "allowradarsizetoggle" and it now doesn't do that! I have been having trouble with this for so long and now you just fixed it! Thank you!

The expanding radar i believe is part of player location display, i do not think you can change those keybindings, at least i havent found it in the .ini. I think you would be better off editing the keybinding of whatever plugin is also using those same keys. Unfortunate but seems to be only solution and is what i did.

    Description:
This topic is going to explain how to put multiple sirens in GTA V and have them work with ELS. I will not be doing on without ELS as its pretty straight forward.
    Hashtag List:
    Siren Hashes (for Vehicles.txt
    How to in steps:
Step 1: Find the sirens you want, keep in mind you can only have around 3-4 different sirens due to size limitation in vehicles.awc. (I use 4 consisting of a Highway patrol siren, Ambulance siren, Fire siren and the main siren.)
Step 2: Put the sirens into the vehicles.awc and expreiment with how many you can have with the limitation in mind. Also use the hashtag list to line it up with the audio string of what siren youre putting in. I also highly reccomend having this deadsilent mod that removes some audios that are useless. Dead air.zip
Step 3: Select the ELS vehicles you want and decide what siren you want to use with it corresponding to the hashtag list.
Step 4: Open the ELS/.xml file for the vehicle and scroll down to <SOUNDS> and select the tone that you are replacing e.g. <MainHorn> and look for where it says AudioString on that line. Now go onto the hashtag list and match it up to what the hashtag was e.g. (for the mainhorn if youre replacing the fire truck horn) VEHICLES_HORNS_FIRETRUCK_WARNING.
Step 5: Continue replacing the audiostrings while looking at the Hashtag and Audiostring list.
Step 6: Hop into game and see if it works, if it doesnt work then look at the files and make sure you did everything right, if you can't figure it out, comment on this topic for support.
Step 7: If you get it working have fun having multiple sirens while playing LSPDFR. 😀

    Hi there!

You just got your new fancy Police Siren Soundpack, and somehow it doesn't or only partially work? BEHOLD!
You'll need to rename your .wav Files according to the table below, for your police sirens to work again.

    Mentioned table:

I'd recommend renaming your files while installing the Siren(s), i.e. dragging "0x0D329446.wav" onto your Desktop -> renaming it to "SIREN_PA20A_WAIL.wav" -> moving "SIREN_PA20A_WAIL.wav" into your vehicles folder accompanied by your vehicles.oac

    Enjoy.

10 DAVID 01 reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.4.2 - Coming Soon!
Hot off the release of LSPDFR 0.4 a couple of months ago, we're upping the ante with another update which brings not only sweeping improvements to the LSPDFR 0.4 API, but also some unique features which have long been requested.

Originally, the plan was merely to release 0.4.2 as a quick follow-up to 0.4 and 0.4.1 - just simple fixes and changes, plus the API improvements to help developers make the most of 0.4.  Necessary changes, but not really cool enough, right?  So, with that in mind we took a little time to dig back into the archives of LSPDFR and revisit some of our old concepts and ideas.  Now, while some of these are actually in the mod - they're most likely either tucked away as 'easter eggs' or just disabled because they weren't quite right.

If you're a connoisseur of traffic stops, for example, you might've noticed that occasionally the unexpected and oh so demoralizing experience of pulling over a federal agent hits you right in the feels as they arrogantly flash their shiny badge, tell you where to stick your comparatively less shiny badge, and drive off.  (If you haven't seen this before, here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNOxZR2ak0M)

Originally the plan was to add this as a feature for players to use, but it just didn't quite fit in with 0.3, and we had some trouble with the animation not being quite as fluid as we'd like.  That was then, though, and given that you now play as your own character both on and off duty, we thought it'd be a bit of a must-have now, so we've tidied it up and are introducing it as a player action in 0.4.2.

With one quick glance at the shimmering shield, her problems are suddenly your problems.  (Note, a custom badge model is shown instead of the default FIB one - you will be able to define custom models to use on a per-agency basis)

Now, not only does this look exceedingly awesome, but it serves a practical purpose too.  Available both on and off-duty, showing your badge will clear any wanted level and may also instill the fear of the law in nearby citizens, potentially de-escalating the otherwise unavoidable confrontations that flare when you walk around Mirror Park without the latest iFruit phone, for example!

Of course, that's not all.  Continuing with the idea of adding things that are just generally cool, we know that people have wanted a ballistic shield feature in LSPDFR for quite some time.  Sure, you can spawn one with a trainer or download another mod, but it's just not quite the same is it?

We thought it'd be particularly sweet to have it at your fingertips instead, fully integrated with LSPDFR, ready to kick some butt.

As if being Frank Tenpenny isn't cool enough...

Our ballistic shield, accessed from the Interaction Menu, uses our new animation system in 0.4.2 which we think looks absolutely gorgeous.  There's also the freedom to switch between Stealth and Action mode which will vary your pose accordingly, compatibility with most weapons and the potential for future AI support.

Oh yeah, did we mention you can actually arrest people at gunpoint while holding a freaking shield?!

Keep your eyes open for LSPDFR 0.4.2, coming soon.

10 DAVID 01 reacted to Tom S. in My opinion & observations on 0.4
Well, what can I say, I think it's safe to say Sam, LMS and the rest of the development team have outdone themselves with 0.4. It truly is a breath of fresh air playing it again after taking a long break from it. Here's my thoughts on why I think 0.4 has improved since 0.3.1:

    Pros
    * Amazing pursuit AI for both criminal and police: having played a few chases, the suspect definitely takes completely different paths each time (ending up in the desert, countryside and alleys rather than staying on roads) makes for an interesting and intense experience. I've also tested being the 1st, 2nd or 3rd unit in the pursuit and other AI units have not rammed me one bit (they seem to keep their distance) which also makes pursuits more enjoyable. For me to keep up with the pursuit, I have to use a vehicle engine boost from TrainerV as the only time the AI may ram you is if you're falling behind and the AI cops are trying to keep up with the criminal. An option to disable the speed boost the AI receives would be a plus as it could make pursuits more realistic. I've seen AI units also attempt to pit however I've seen them make a few timing mistakes by crashing into the median. They even block suspects from escaping if they're boxed in between units which is much improved compared to 0.3 as they would often let them flee again. The behavior and tactics options are a much needed feature as they are useful for different situations whether you're in urban/busy streets or quiet roads.

    * The immersion factor is incredible, from the flashlight to the police radio and idle animations really do add to detail. Adding CopHolster on top of that is icing on the cake. It's quite clear that the theme of 0.4 is character and the level of customization plus EUP adds more to the immersion. No longer do cops look like clones.

    * Improved Performance: This could be both a pro and a con but having been in a few pursuits, my FPS has been a steady 60 however it does tend to drop/stutter a bit if I'm in the city compared to the county. I do think the performance has had an upgrade since the previous version although other people may have different experiences, this was played using vanilla models/very few plugins. I have yet to test this with additional LSPDFR add-ons.

    * Searching: I like the fact that you are given your own cone of vision on the radar if you lose visual and have to search the last seen area for the suspect to re-trigger the pursuit before the entire radar flashes blue and red. A nice little detail for me, personally.

    * Customization: I really like the fact that I can create my own agencies and give them outfits, vehicles and their own jurisdictions. I have yet to figure out how individual zones work and how to assign an agency to patrol those zones rather than an entire city/county. Seeing Cops actually patrol in their vehicles makes the world feel more real compared to vanilla GTA V.

    Cons/Bugs
    * A way to disable the camera locating the suspect for you once you've regained visual could be a nice feature in a config file, I think part of the fun in actually looking for the suspect is taken away from this although a minor inconvenience nonetheless.

    * A setting to disable the speed boost the AI receives in pursuits so you can keep up without using 3rd party trainers/modifications to your vehicle

    * I may have repeated this in another thread but thought I'd throw it in here as well, if you play an action from the interaction menu and cancel it, this tends to crash LSPDFR so the only way to reload it is through the console via unload/reloading plugin. I'll keep testing this though to make sure.

I've probably missed a few but these were the things that stood out to me most. Thank you for the hard work and effort in providing 0.4 for us all to enjoy.

removing the ambient cops helps a lot with texture loss especially if you have high poly custom vehicles in your game.  ambient cops is cool but because the textures and vehicles are so large i believe that is what is causing a lot of peoples texture loss.

so adding these lines to your lspdfr.ini should help you
if you put Ambient.DisableAmbientGameCopSpawnBlock = false in your lspdfr.ini it will make the cops spawn as the default ped models not the custom mp models, just be aware of that.

also some people were complaining about your traffic being lessened during pursuits, if you don't like that you can turn that off by adding this to your lspdfr.ini

although that might have a performance cost as far as fps, but if you're okay with it, im okay with it 🙂

I'm making something new. I personally like the LAPD, but because many of the current LAPD models don't meet my needs, I decided to do the LAPD myself.
He was given a random name. NEW LAPD EUP

I made short sleeves for summer, training suits and winter coats.
    Here are some previews:

I made responsive equipment for the uniforms.
The name above is because this EUP set has been tested in my FIVEM server. It may change after it is officially released.

This EUP set contains many contents I am still making, such as the new bodyCAM

Because some people in China steal other people's works and sell them for money, and there is nothing I can do about it. So this EUP set won't be released anytime soon.
But I hope you understand and like it.
