I think that Rockstar does what any for-profit company does: They do it for the money. Most of the fun is taken away these days in game development, and only the drive and urge to make money remains. While GTA modding is a big part of it, I think that we're probably a small bunch of people modding the game (relative to how many owns the game). GTA Online is a money-making machine, with sharkcards providing even more money for the Rockstar Machine. GTA as a game world and concept is great for Online gameplay, if you want to keep making money, which is what they want. I think that we're a bit nostalgic, and while I don't agree with making a 100% Online game, they would not do it if they didn't think people would play and pay for it. But for now, these are mostly rumours if I read this correctly and some stray comment from Rockstar. GTA VI is still far into the future.

We do not want members to move gallery images, partly because of how IPB works and because we want to have control over how images are displayed. Out of a moderation point of view, It'd be a nightmare of gallery images would get deleted, moved or hidden. We thank you for your feedback, but at the moment we have no plans to change this.
