If you're using my police enhancements mod, this sounds like the SIlent Backup feature. However, this feature should only work while on a callout, traffic stop, or in a pursuit.

Make sure LSPDFR is up to date. There was an update a few days ago to address this issue.

What I meant was, it was developed using an outdated version of RNUI, so there is likely incompatibilities with the newest version.

If the game crashes with the mods folder disabled, verify your game files. To try fixing the texture loss, set Main.PreloadAllModels to false in the lspdfr.ini

Have you tried playing with your mods folder disabled to make sure it isn't a mod causing the issue?

It uses an outdated version of RageNativeUI, so there's probably incompatibility issues there.

As you can see in the thumbnail, RageShowMyLocation does provide a speed limit for the current road, but it is not always consistent with speed limit signs you see in-game.

Does this still happen if you launch GTA normally, then launch Rage once you're in-game?

Please upload your RagePluginHook.log (text file) from your GTA V folder. Setting preloadallmodels to false should help fix the texture loss.
