  1. EVI seems to be alright with uploading his past work here so here's a link to the 2010 model http://www.mediafire.com/?k27n4v2fp1ztmxb
  2. Slimory were you able to change everything that you wanted? I just got around to changing the last view today (had done the original police computer and the vehicle view), which happened to be the LCPDFR background screen and I love the change! (no offense LCPDFR dev's)
  3. Thanks for posting the instructions on how to do this. I've wanted to change all of the computer backgrounds and this was the last one. So thanks again!
  4. Sam, has there been any progress on this or is on backburner while you guys finish getting LCPDFR 0.95 RC3 ready?
  5. You could try RealityIV and/or VisualIV or Sgt. Kanyo's Realistic Time Cycle mod (http://gtapolicemods...do=file&id=1649).
  6. I would select it by element and the just click delete, but you can also delete polygons/vertices
  7. Alright, not even sure what that is (is it the double ammo pouch?). Anyways, under the skin modifier select "editable mesh" , at the warning popup select "yes" then you'll be able to move vertices, polygons, or objects as normal.
  8. Is there a specific error message that you're getting when it crashes?
  9. Unless someone has found another way to fix issues like this the only way is exporting into 3ds Max moving the vertices and importing back into OpenIV
  10. Do you have the latest version of OpenIV? Also make sure you are importing the ped with the latest version of OpenIV. It doesn't work with older file exports of OpenIV.
  11. I have worked as a LEO so I do understand the dynamics at play here. First of all, high expectations of professional conduct are expected out of every LEO. This means on and off duty and especially when you're in a marked police cruiser. Integrity is paramount for any good LEO. To put another LEO in a position as Officer Lopez did is just plain wrong on so many levels. He expected to be above the law, in the article below it stated that he had routinely drove at a high rate of speed and had expectations that if another LEO ever did stop him that he would only get a slap on the wrist. In fact they found that this is a common practice in the surrounding police departments and Officer Lopez was the worst offender of them all. I've never understood why they bring up his personal life, to me it has nothing to do with the way he conducted himself on the Freeways in Florida. He should be held responsible for his own actions. Right or wrong you need to justify your actions as a police officer. The Florida Trooper was justified to draw her weapon since she believed that the vehicle must be stolen, due to the reckless way he was driving and the fact that he would not stop for her. No they did not know if he was heading to a call, but generally for a legitimate call, you'd put your lights/sirens on to let another officer know (as well as having the dispatcher contact FHP). I believe they ended up issuing a court summons instead of taking him to jail (I'd say that was professional courtesy since any other person would have a free ride to the nearest jail). The Florida Highway Patrol has an obligation to the public to keep them safe and it sucks that a "brother in blue" would put them in a position like they did. I'm very surprised that Officer Lopez still has a job, but then again the department is still considering what to do in response to his actions. In my state, State Police will contact the agency and relay the information (time/location/unit) to the agency chief/sheriff to let them deal in house with it. I believe this is the way most State agencies deal with it, including FHP, this was just a situation were the trooper made a decision to intervene for public safety, believing that there was more to the situation then just an off duty police officer going somewhere in a hurry. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/miami-speeding-cop-avoids-jail-wont-have-criminal-2287016.html
  12. Yeah I guess you could say that it has a similar feel. Although I prefer WiC for modern technology
  13. Any Company of Heroes fans on here? I just noticed that the Modern Combat mod came out. The developers did an awesome job giving that WWII game a great makeover! Recommend for fans of CoH! http://moderncombat.blacksandstudio.com/
  14. @Dramacydal503 The original game files use a lot of low poly models mixed with texture/bump maps to pull off the look that they achieve, a good example is the earpiece that some of the models have, but it is a relatively small model in comparison so idk how it'd look if you made a large scale version (I'd have to test), but its safe to say it would not look as nice up close. I'm not trying to compete with the vehicle modelers here, but keep in mind some of these vehicle models have 100K+ multiply that by however many vehicles are being displayed onscreen and you get the picture. My models will really have minimal impact on the game, especially in comparison. Finally a ball cap will be one of the hat options. @CP702 I understand that, either way I will make sure that you are be able to recreate the look of your favorite departments badge.
  15. I'll test modifying a specific area, but you have to keep in mind that the skin modifier that they've added that allows the clothing to move with the model may have a great effect on that area distorting as the model moves. Using a set modeled badge would keep it the same no matter how the ped moves. I'll def test different things and see what I come up with. The added badge as a very minimal poly to the model, it's a very simple model (Just a little more work for me to make all of the optional badges). Poly count should be fine, but the corded shoulder mics do add around 2K-3K polys, even with optimizing them as low as I thought they could go without making them look stupid. I'm not sure how much this will affect the game, again I don't think it'll be a problem but if you're running a crazy amount of high poly mods (cars especially) then there may be a potential issue, worse case scenario is that I can make straight corded shoulder mics as well (which would be far less polys). I've had the poly count in the back of my mind during the whole process so I've added the bare minimum to make this mod look right, but still add a lot of nice features.
  16. 3ds Max 09 with the current version of GIMS may be the issue. You can verify with 3Doomer on gtaforums, but I seem to recall others using older version having issues. I had the older version and ended up upgrading.
  17. Are you using the latest version of GIMS? Did you install manually or automatic?
  18. Similar to this (so many minor variations between helmets but you get the idea)
  19. My plans for final release are to have multiple textures so that you can make minor alterations (ie;badge, patches) and have it look like your favorite department. So if you wanted officers with white shirts and black pants you'd just use those textures. Or maybe you want brown/brown Sheriff deputies it'll all be included with the final release.
  20. I wouldn't expect anything less from the infamous Custo lol
  21. I'm working on a 3/4 shell right now, one of the projects..... I'd say it's right around 70%
