  1. Yes go into the wtd file and look for the p_head_diff_000_a file and export and just color the blue areas and import back in. I released the beta with very basic textures final will have the popular uniform colors and proper spec/normals
  2. For those of you who are trying out the beta version of my campaign hat and are experiencing issues please post in this thread or pm me. I'm aware of the specularity issue, however I haven't experienced in my game with the model I released and have been unable to recreate it under any time/weather conditions. So I'm trying to figure out how many people are experiencing it and how many are not. If you aren't experiencing any issues feel free to post too, as it may help with pinning down the issue. Thanks guys
  3. Just FYI the developers are aware of the desire for an accurate NYSP Tahoe, but it could be a little before other projects are finished
  4. You'll need to pm JamesWilson
  5. You guys are installing it in pedprops.img correct (NOT componentpeds.img)? This does NOT replace the ped model just that hat. Mr. Quiggles what program are you using to install this model SparkIV or OpenIV? I just renamed the files m_y_cop_traffic_p and installed using SparkIV 0.6.9 and it worked like a charm. The only thing guys is it's optimized for the m_y_strooper_p model, so it will be slightly off for all other models. I have to make adjustments for each model and I'm holding off until we get new models created.
  6. I'm going to guess that it's an issue with the way it installed. First make sure you have the latest update of OpenIV and try reinstalling. If you continue to experience the issue, d/l SparkIV and use it to install. http://code.google.com/p/gtaivtools/downloads/list

  7. I remember seeing a post on GPM that they had bought the model and were working on it
  8. Whelen Justice came out awesome and the Impala is sick! Can't wait for it's release!
  9. I've just been waiting for GIMS to fully update it's material editor
  10. I'm pretty sure it's shelved right now while he works on another big scripting project
  11. Lonestranger made an excellent in depth tutorial which uses the free program GIMP. If you use Paint.net or Photoshop the techniques can generally crossover in most cases. I recommend you look at some of the tutorials and start working with simple graphic designs and once you feel confident with what you've learned slowly pickup more advanced techniques trying more and more difficult graphic designs. That's how I got into it and I started with absolutley no knowledge.

  16. It will be nice to see Lt.Caine back on the scene, but who knows when GTA V will be out and how well it's been optimized for the pc. They can't do worse then IV right?? ELS was/is a great mod but it has huge drawbacks that should be completely resolved with Sam's Illumination 2.0. So if Sam can pull it off with Illumination 2.0, it would make sense that it too could be converted for V and if it's resolved the big issues with ELS there really won't be a need for ELS. That being said, I know Lt.Caine wouldn't mind working with anyone including Sam on creating a lighting mod that works for V and doesn't crash the game time and time again. Time will tell, but for right now my eyes are on Illumination 2.0!!
  17. I'm sure he still has all of his own projects. I have almost everything he publicly released, but the last time I saw he didn't want people to upload his stuff. It doesn't hurt to PM, if he says no then respect his wishes and leave it alone. There are many other unmarked CVPI's out there, they just don't have all of the features this model has.
  18. Correct it's EVI's 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor "Snohomish County Sheriff's Office Unmarked" model CVPI_SCSO-UNM_V2.0. Last time I saw he didn't want the models redistributed but maybe he'll reupload them. He's always made great models and this ones no exception! PM EVI he may hook you up
  19. Find your els.ini file and open it. You'll see a bunch of entries similar to this: [ POLICE ] Active = 1 - Needs to be changed to 0 to disable els for that vehicle Halogen_Only = 0 Color_Light1L = 0 Color_Light2L = 0 Color_Light3R = 0 Color_Light4R = 0 Color_Light7L = 3 Color_Light8C = 3 Color_Light9R = 3 Offst_SLights = 0
