  1. What card do you have?
  2. I had an...interesting run in with the AI today. I pull up to the intersection and a truck decides to drive right into another car. The truck backs up and the car continues on. When the truck starting to drive again....well...
  3. "whether low end or high end" I don't want to completely lower my graphics on my high end computer when all I have to do is download one script and keep running on the highest settings, thanks. (run on sentence ftw)
  4. I don't understand why people are STILL so worried...look at Harper's post. Every main GTA came out on PC 7 or 8 months after the original release. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. I don't think a PC version was EVER announced before the release of the console game (could be wrong though). Why would this time be any different? Piracy was around when the others came out, mods were around when the others came out, new consoles were even coming out soon after San Andreas was released. GTA V is in the same exact situation. So, please, people who still don't think GTA V is coming to PC, answer me: what is different this time?
  5. The 18 Wheels of Steel games are old and outdated, I want one with the updated engine.
  6. I love this game. I hope they make an American one with these (or better) graphics and physics.
  7. If you want the video embedded in your post, use this code: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFOhHTqIhjw Anyways, nice video!
  8. 1) I highly doubt GTA V will be on next-gen consoles. 2) The community team (Harper and cp702) isn't being negative, they are being sensible. Rockstar will announce a PC edition before anybody else officially knows about it. Plus that link leads to a "Page not available" - reliable source, eh? 3) GTA V will most likely come to PC. Every main GTA has come to PC - always after the original release - so why wouldn't this one? Honestly, everybody trying to pressure Rockstar into releasing on PC is what's going to cause another shitty PC port like GTA IV. If you just wait and stop complaining, maybe Rockstar will actually make a better port this time around, but if you rush them it will be exactly the same as IV. I think I covered all the points in this topic. Edit: Nope, one more. 4) 3.6 million (3,600,000) copies of GTA IV were sold on day one. A hell of a lot more were sold after that; by August 2008, over 10 million copies were sold. 140,000 (.14 million) isn't that big of a difference. Plus, according to Take Two, sales on the PC version of IV were considerably less.
  9. I'm using version 326.41 and it works fine...I have a 660Ti Overclocked Edition... It's probably best to have it looked at professionally (since there's no way you could downgrade drivers without being able to see the screen) to see if someone can determine the problem before buying any more new equipment.
  10. I'm guessing you don't have integrated graphics to plug the monitors into? Or do you only have integrated graphics? Did you try the monitors with two different wires or the same wire? Do you have another computer you can test your graphics card in? Do you have another graphics card to test your computer with? It could be the graphics card itself, the connection from the wire to the graphics card, the connection from the wire to the monitor, the wire itself, the connection from the graphics card to the motherboard, the motherboard itself... The only thing that's most likely not the problem is the monitor itself.
  11. Hmmm...interesting. There's also one radio station: Nightride FM with Vincent Belorgey as the DJ
  12. It's the first game, when Wayne (the black man) does his part. Edit: They comment on it after the game as well - when everyone is sitting down again.
  13. As a side note, Jay has stated in the past that the problem with taxi's no longer worker after installing LCPDFR will not be fixed because it's a problem with GTA itself. Whether they found a fix or not for version 1.0, I don't know.

  15. So...this isn't dead? I haven't looked at the site in months.
  16. My roommate showed me HowToBasic a few months ago. He's obsessed with eggs.
  17. You don't replace rubbish.img or rubbish.ide. You open rubbish.img with OpenIV or SparkIV and replace cj_bin_bag_pickup2.wdr Edit: Read the ReadMe more carefully:
  18. They're using IE. When they click Open, it brings them to that thing where you pick a program to open it. The file doesn't have .exe at the end when it's downloaded from IE for some reason.
  19. Solution: Don't use Internet Explorer. It sucks. If you really don't want to change browsers, then save it someplace (you know, click "Save As," not "Open"). Navigate to where you saved it and add .exe to the file. Then right click it and click "Run as Administrator"
  20. Alt-I for radio, Alt-O for coffee, Alt-U for hats Pressing I with a radio out makes the officer speak into it. Pressing O with the coffee out makes the officer drink it.
  21. Will replied to Modmouse's topic in Discussion
If you use GFWL, then it saves in: C:Users<username>AppDataLocalRockstar GamesGTA IVsavegames<userID> If you can't navigate to this folder on your own, then type %appdata% in the Start menu, Run, or just the directory bar on top of a windows explorer window. Then go back one folder (out of Roaming and to AppData) and then to Local, Rockstar Games, GTA IV, savegames, <userid>. If you don't use GFWL (because of xliveless or some other reason), then it's in: DocumentsRockstar GamesGTA IVsavegames
  22. It seems to be some sort of bug that is only present on some computers. I've seen this in a bunch of pictures, it's nothing new. You could try redownloading the mod (they did have a second release of RC2) and reinstalling it.
  23. Yeah, it isn't necessarily caused by the computer not being able to handle GTA. NB was getting it one time when we tried playing online and he has an i7 3660k @ 3.9 GHz, 16GB RAM, and a GTX 570 with 1.2 GB. I don't know about his internet connection, but I'm pretty sure it's good since he hosted the ArmA 2 server every time and we played just fine.
  24. Not exactly. Microsoft Windows is weird like that; it reports 1024MB as 1GB (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gigabyte - base 2 definition), so usually when companies say how much memory something has they use the base 2 definition. With nvidia GeForce, the first digit is the series and the second is the card's performance category. For example, the GTX 670 is the 600 series and the card is in the 70 performance category. However, a 590 is better than a 670 because it is in the number 90 category of the 500 series. With AMD, the first number is the generation (or series), the second is the performance category and the third is the relative quality. So the 8750 is the 8000 series, 700 performance category, 50 quality. The 8570 is the 8000 series, 500 performance category, 70 quality. In this case the 8750 is better, I believe, since it is in a higher performance category. Also, having dual cards does not double the memory, you will still have 1GB.
  25. He's talking about Siren Control Tool. It isn't compatible with ELS 7, though.
