  1. Perhaps you could set out to discover them by yourself... Use a flashlight mod, trench coat and set the weather to lightening... sounds fun
  2. That is completely right. Don't call people from the United States Mexicans or Canadians And don't call Texans New Yorkers, or Californians Because that's what it's like to us.
  3. It all lies within the API... if the next version features that, you can be assured some daring scripters will bring out all sorts...
  4. If only one could mod such a game...
  5. Seriously, just one topic with a descriptive thread title will do. This is starting to look like spam. I'm not one to judge though.
  6. What's so ironic is that at the time of writing there is another thread by a modder just above this one entitled "Give Me Request"
  7. I know exactly how you feel. Of course there is an interest! Infact, the only reason there probably isn't a mod like this out there is because it is currently not possible. The Pedestrian speeches are compressed into a special format that GTAIVAUD cannot import to. It can extract the voices, but not import. AFAIK I heard that the developer would release a v1.2 version which could write to those formats, but no one has heard of him ever since.
  8. FANTASTIC. Much more tactical looking than the original ones. Any chance of doing an NYPD ESU as well?
  9. A-2 & A-7, good no nonsense left/right flashing, just like British Police ones. C-1 & C-2 are my best secondaries.
  10. ...and you really had to lecture me on that? It's about 1 AM over here and I can't be bothered to type DVD - whats the difference in this case anyway? Any special relevance to add to the situation? I still refer to DVDs as CDs if I'm gonna type something quickly, CDs seem to be alot more 'memorable' a name than DVDs when it comes to computers... Thanks for the information though, this shall really help me with my ICT studies!
  11. Vehicle noise index: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=503904 Top speed is velocity in KM/H and found in handling.dat. The game will not 100% stick by what you put in there though, as top speed is not only decided by velocity, but a number of factors. This should help (It's entitled "Handling.dat Explained!"): http://www.gtagaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118800 How many vehicles depends on if your using ELS or not. If you are, the vehicles that have their lightbars switched on and never shut off never tend to de-spawn, thus clogging up the game's memory with unnecessary values. If you call for backup or prisoner transport here's a tip, do not drive away from the cop car while it's lightbar is on and the cops have disembarked, doing this will despawn the AI cops that get back in the car to shut the lights off. With that done, the police car will lie there with its lights on for the rest of the game until you do something like get in it and turn them off. But just stay a minute or two and wait for the AI to get back in the car with the prisoner and shut off the lights. I only mod my Police if I can help it, when I started using NYC taxis my textures started to go missing.
  12. Thanks for letting us know. I am sick of taking out and putting back my GTA IV DVD into my drive every time I play and every time I stop playing. It's like the whole of Rockstar's DVDs are gradually defective... I had the same issue with my EFLC DVD too and it was kept in its box and handled with care at all times...

Suggestions? Forum topic: Common Met Police siren fitted to most Ford Transit Station Vans & IRVs, many ARVs & Unmarked Vehicles and some Traffic Units. Typically heard on a late Friday night. Also used by the PSNI on their escort motorbikes. You get two choices: - ARV (WAIL/YELP/PHASER. This is the setup that the ARVs & Unmarked Units use.) - Standard (WAIL/YELP/HILO. Used by the Police Vans & Traffic Units.) Both versions include a bullhorn. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNjq2QLwUd4
  14. Great to see someone else do some decent Met Police patrols out there. I got to say your driving is nice and smooth.
  15. Decent lighting setup. Skin is quite attractive too, nice.
  16. I use Q for my ELS hotkey. Had no problems with it, its a good hands-free siren key if your driving with the keyboard.
