​ That site says nothing but BS clickbait, so it has to be taken with a pinch of salt. That said, i think everyone here wants this to happen so that we can tear into making some really whacked out scripts.

I have to say, if this mod tool thing does become reality, then GTA V will probably become a modder's paradise much like Skyrim. A proper launcher where you can choose what scripts to load, with any cheaty ones disabling Online automatically for that session, would be amazing and keep out hackers. That way, everyone's happy- modders get thier hands on the game files proper, players get good mods, and Rockstar gets less grief from hacking on their servers.

​Wait, what mod tool is this? I can't see them releasing the source code to their new game's engine just yet. A list of native hashes maybe, but this is Rockstar we're talking about.

You can just turn Wanted levels off in the Director options, it has the same basic effect.

Also, I have a tip for people with LSPDFR urges: in story mode, steal a cop car or bike, repair it and save it in your garage. Go into Director mode, change into a Cop model, turn wanted level and restricted areas off. Now you're free to drive around and pretend. You can even do voice lines etc. for added effect. Made myself a few Dashcam traffic stops in the editor so far.

I give it three weeks before someone makes a trainer for the game. Proper mods such as cars and scripts will probably be a few months yet.

Well, it just shows the game can be injected with code at a base level. I can see the need for Scripthooks if the game doesn't support it out of the box tho.

I'd love to see the Chopper camera from Trevor's 'Eye in the Sky' mission make an appearance in the mod... have an AI pilot pursue a fleeing suspect, and you control the camera (maybe for filming or Youtube footage).

Well, there's a trainer for the game floating around the internet already, so that proves the game can support external scripting. What's to really debate here?

It's Rockstar, Steam workshop support will probably never happen.

The Kickstarted project 'Identity' aims to be just like that. Create a character, do jobs and life stuff in a persistent player-driven world. It sounds cool.

While we're on the subject, anyone else notice that without Top Gear to fill its off-peak schedule, BBC2 seems to be filled with endless repeats of antiques programs? a clandestine jab at Clarkson, perhaps?

The best part is you can have a good multiplayer game without being repeatedly micspammed and called a 'hacker faggit noob 420 blazeit' at by a 12-year old with a sh*tty headset, 'cause their mom won't buy them a computer.

Welcome to the PC gaming community, brother. Come for the gameplay, stay for the mods. 1. a legal copy of GTA IV/ EFLC can be bought for cheap from places such as Steam, gamersgate, and many more. 2. There are extensive tutorials on this site's FAQ and the readme of the LCPDFR install file. 3. There are no current 'official' multiplayer hosted sessions, and the LCPDFR mod is not officially supported in multiplayer, with varying stability. 4. As mentioned, multiplayer is not required. Now get out there and catch some bad guys in the name of Gaben!

Good news is R* is getting serious now, with frequent screens and a trailer next week. This bodes well for a April 14 release.

So, are there any kind of 'must have' payware mods for FSX? There's quite a few around, but aside from HD ground textures I can't see what other cool stuff there could be.
