My perfect E3; EA announce that they are planning to drop their always-online evil DRM. Ubisoft announce that they'l discontinue Uplay. Rockstar announce a PC version of GTA 5/ Red Dead and a HD remake of Bully/The Warriors/ Midnight Club Gabe Newell admits Half Life 3 is in development. The Sims 4 release date specified. Paradox give us a Mount and Blade 2 gameplay demo. Medieval 3 Total War announced (come on, its pretty much inevitable now) A new Hitman game announced (a good one like Blood Money, not Absolution) If these things actually come true i will shoot lasers out my eyes in happiness.

i seem to recall that only Security guards actually used nightsticks against you, i've never seen cops use them but some do have them in their belts. if i had my way, in the default V game at 1-star levels they'd use batons/tasers or tackle you, get you on the ground and cuff you, or pull you over to give you a ticket if you speed on the highway, at 2-stars theyd draw guns and attempt to bust you like normal, at 3 stars if weapons are fired theyd try to take you down, if not theyd call in K-9 and Riot guys with gas guns and shields, and put up road blocks, and 4 and above would be SWAT guys coming after you. As you can tell, i kind of miss the wanted system from San Andreas :P hopefully if V comes out on PC someone will make a mod for all these...

Hello all, I Know a lot of people have started to dig around in V's ped models, script coding etc. what i was wondering was is there any cop stuff (vehicles, weapons, ped models, speech etc.) that are in the game files but aren't actually used ingame? like GTA IV had unused speech for traffic stops/Batons that ended up being in LCPDFR, that kind of stuff. I did hear that in V there were originally K-9 units and riot cops/APC's ingame (tear gas anyone?), and that originally all cops would use Nightsticks/tasers on a 1 star wanted, but they were removed. can anyone dig in the files and confirm this?

what i was thinking was playing the frisking animation in sync with the ground cuff anim to represent it because its close enough.

Hello all, I was browsing the GTA 4 animations with SNT the other day when i came across two animations used in the Three Leaf Clover mission- 'femdownloop' which gets the player on the ground with thier hands on thier head, and 'Hndcuff lieloop' which gets the player on the ground with thier hands cuffed behind thier backs. this got me thinking, could it eventually be possible to get a feature where we could order a suspect down on thier stomach, then using the Frisking animation to represent the ground cuffing Anim, we could cuff the suspect on the floor then drag him up, and move him around with the normal 1.0 feature. this would be an awesome feature to include and would make LCPDFR more fun and realistic. i know it may be hard to code, but i was wondering if it could be at all possible?

Hello all, i once had a car mod that improved the default police cars (Police, Police2) so that they had different liveries when used with the Area Liveries Mod, but i've been searching around and can't find the one i was looking for. can anyone recommend any Modified Default cars with a low filesize so that they don't give me the Taxi bug?

i don't know... it looks good, but i hope they change the default uniforms and cars before release... really not a fan of that SWAT armor. it looks quite fun to play. I hope that the other game Police 10-13 is real and not a scam, cos it sounds cool.

I recently installed a Corsair modular 500W psu to replace an ATX-500 which had died on me, and i noticed that the cabling was a little weird on it- most of them were too short for my connectors, for one thing, so i had to arrange them in a very particular way to get the SATA cables for my hard drive etc. correct, so it could be an issue with the cabling i put in. i had originally planned on installing a new AMD-FX 8350 CPU and a different CPU fan, but if the system is in danger of shorting out now im not so sure. i have my eye on a new custom built Core-i7 system from a guy my friend knows, so i may sell the parts that still work on Ebay and get that.

The legal and moral shitstorm that would surely happen if there were kids in GTA would just be too much. people would boycott it, even if it was GTA 6. besides which, who in thier right mind would gun down a woman holding a baby in front of her 6-year old son in Los Santos, and then steal her car, even if it was a videogame?

hello all, last night i was upgrading my computer's graphics card (to a HD 7850), i connected the power supply as normal and closed the case. i booted up, but ten minutes in, there was a sudden 'popping' noise, almost like something had instantly fried inside the case. as you would imagine, i hurriedly pulled out the power plug and opened the case. when the cover came off, there was a huge smell of burning- (i found out later that my power supply was struggling to supply enough power to the card, which should'nt happen- 500W is enough to power it). i don't think it's completely totaled the computer, but my system is at least 2 years old and has quite outdated specs. i was wondering if i should just move on to a totally new, overpowered machine (my budget isn't really an object, i want a reasonably top-spec machine). SYSTEM SPECS: AMD quadcore FX41?? 4.0GHZ (i can't remember the exact number) Radeon HD 6670 (definitely outdated) 1TB HDD 8GB DDR3 RAM I haven't tested the PC since in case it spontaneously combusts when i turn it on lol :) but do you think i should just get a new comp?

I've been having an irritating issue with Gta iv (EFLC) recently. I can play the game normally, but after 20+ minutes of play the game freezes for a few seconds, then resumes, but all the floor, building etc. textures disappear completely. I have no car mods installed, i use only the default models and textures. I have some script mods running in the game, but they shouldn't be causing this. I have only had this recently, but i haven't changed any models. I changed my Commandline options to see if that did anything, but nothing changes. I think that my 32-bit system may be limiting the memory EFLC uses, but im going to upgrade to 64-bit soon. Specs: OS: Windows 7 32-bit RAM: 8GB CPU: AMD FX- 4170 Quad-core @4GHZ GPU: AMD Radeon 6670 2GB Script Mods: LCPDFR 1.0b Policehelper script IVdashcam Breathalyser script Firstperson script Trainer Coroner script Tow truck script

I think it would be interesting if a corruption feature was introduced in a 1.0 plugin. it could go something like this: 1. stop/arrest ped as normal. 2. a menu could come up, maybe something like 'F11 to extort/accept Bribe' 3. if you select this, you'l let the suspect go, he'l escape and he'l give you $200 or a stash of drugs to sell on. or you could go to a ped that is a member of The Lost or the Angels of Death and offer to pass on illegal goods to a marked ped for $500, maybe covering it up as frisking him, but actually slipping them in his pocket. I think it would add a bit of morality and fun to the normal LCPDFR tasks. There could maybe be an event where you get discovered and have to make sure a witness is eliminated. It would certainly offer something different. If someone could ever make a script like this it would be awesome.

when i try to grab a suspect after arresting him and pressing Y to drive him to a station, the 'press E to grab suspect' message will pop up, but nothing happens when i press it. in the console it will say something along the line of 'ERROR: error while processing script: 'grab'. object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Freval_44. at freval_44 Process(). it started only after i installed the taser- before that it worked perfectly with no crashes, even when arresting multiple people. i uninstalled the taser to see if that would help, but it still happens. i reinstalled all the 1.0 scripts, still nothing. does anyone else have the same issue?
