That seems to be random (or depending on something with the server). I was able to get it working last week for a few days (maybe luck), but it stopped since then. Only thing to do is to put your API key & hope that it works sometimes. Doesn't really matter much anyway, since, like ineseri said, the Crime Stats service is currently down.

I see some disconnect b/w what some people consider LCPDFR features (like M to stop all nearby traffic, E to order person out of vehicle, the new ALPR integration). I know that not everyone tried out LCPDFR 1.0, but I assumed at least the Testing Team will know it's new features? Not being offensive or anything, but I assumed that the Testing Team tests every LCPDFR version before it goes out, or is it only particular versions?

Depending on how you make it, the peds around the area will still run away the second you start holding down LMB. Most likely put it in a melee slot, since peds don't run when you hold or attack (LMB) with a melee weapon. Would take quite a effort to get it working decently tho (I believe).

Who really cares about those stats anyway? I know I don't. But to answer the OP: No, I'm still on the same save game as when I installed LCPDFR 0.95, with the story completed (for the, what, 8th time? ). Like some the people said above me, not really recommended to save when running mods, esp LCPD:FR, just to be safe. Also, if I want to patrol somewhere else, I just teleport to the PD there while inside the safe house.

ahh. Yeah, probably could be then. Continue with installing Windows on your other HDD. If that Windows crashes during downloads/uploads, then it might be your WiFi card. Try attaching a LAN cable for internet access, if possible. Otherwise might want to look into a new WiFi card before testing out your CPU/Motherboard. Also, now does it crash only when downloading/uploading stuff, or does it crash under intense load too?

ummm.... ghost? It's ironic that I just saw the "I, Robot" movie again (for the 5th time) & now I'm reading this, lel. That is weird. After replacing, did you verify that all the mod files had been removed from the GTA:IV folder? Not all mods replace files, & if you don't delete the added files, then they might still work after you reinstall dsound.dll (or xliveless) & other dependencies (ScriptHook / AdvancedHook, etc.) And regarding the car mods, did you replace the default IV police cars/vehicles, or did you add them as new vehicles? If you added them as new vehicles (with new files [newhandling.dat, newvehicles.ide, newvehicles.img {file names may be different if you changed them} ] ) then they will still be there, but the game won't recognize them until you edit the IV files again (gta.dat, & images.txt [i think there was one more, but can't remember it currently] ). A side note: You probably should've named the topic to "Game data 'reinstalled' itself after clean install". Putting "reset" made me think that you meant your game files got reset to original

Don't you just love it when that happens, haha :P Yeah, it looks like it's probably the RAM currently. Remove both the RAMs & fit in a brand new RAM. If the PC crashes still occur, then, like CrawFord said, you might want to check into the CPU or motherboard randomly failing. I don't think a Wi-Fi card failing would cause a PC crash, would it?

Don't forget to hit that "Like" button! Also do that on aCoD Prodigy's post, since he originally suggested it :D (& yeah, GTA:IV is horribly optimized on the PC)

Just what most people must be suspecting I guess. It should be common knowledge now that when you use a Cell Phone or the Internet, you can expect all that you do with it, to be monitored by "security" agencies (NSA, CIA, etc.). It's new (to me) that even PDs now started using them, but oh well.

Oh my! That looks real nice. Like the front setup. Esp that (spoiler) Custom LED-filled windshield, nice stuff. But as unr3al said, probably must be real expensive.
