  1. False. (I don't hate it either tho) The person below me is a Moderator. (I didn't specify which site)
  2. True. (ummmm, chocolate. *homer drool* ) The person below me loves The Simpsons (American TV show)
  3. The pursuits. Chasing a runner alone, pretending that my backup is miles away. Trying to PIT the sucker again & again until I get him boxed in by myself. Love it <3
  4. The mystery is solved!!! Finally! I always wondered how you pronounce your name.
  5. Congratulations you guys! Very well deserved! :D
  6. Created it while signing up for GFWL for GTA:IV. Wanted something similar to Rockstar, so RockingStar, it was taken; Rocking_Star, taken. Then I wondered for a while & got Rocking_Star101 (101 as in Dalmatians 101). It's stuck with me ever since & I use the same username whenever I sign-up for something, easy for anyone to find me (except my Youtube account, that's Rocking_Star1011, some idiot took Rocking_Star101 )
  7. I've got some more with the same theme that I alt thru every month or so. Got a custom log-in image that I change thru also. (The thing I use to organize my desktop icons is Fences, for all you messy people wondering what it is)
  8. It's a ELS v8 bug. The default siren (Wail, WL / M1) doesn't stop traffic (that is, traffic does not move to the side of the road when siren is on [if said traffic vehicle is moving at speed] ), if you switch to siren2 (Yelp, YP / M2) or siren3 (A1) & verify that traffic stops, after that the traffic will stop for Wail (WL/M1) siren too. The traffic does seem to randomly stop stopping for Wail (WL/M1) siren again, & you've to again switch to Yelp or A1 & do the procedure again. I just wrote what I know about this bug, based on what you said & I what I think your problem looks like. I don't know what Left Thumb does on the XBox controller, so I might've misunderstood your problem.
  9. Sort of. It's not "official" (hence why I wrote Patch in "s, maybe should've wrote "crack" or smh similar), it was created by someone (not R*), so you could play IV without the CD. I don't think it's a crack, since (didn't try, but I think) IV still checks if it's original or not & asks for your CD key.
  10. You can just use a No-CD "Patch" for GTA:IV (Google it). I use it for all my IV versions & it doesn't create any conflicts or problems with any mod or with the game itself.
  11. It all depends on you. There isn't much difference, if any. If you use Steam as a Social Gaming account, you could download it from Steam. You can also get Steam to recognize the CD version (thru Add a Non-Steam game), although you might run into some problems. Both Steam & CD version give the latest version of the game. EDIT: One other thing I just remembered. I'm not sure if in Steam version it's easy or not, but with CD version (which I have) it's real easy to make different versions of the game (just Copy/Paste the entire GTA:IV folder). I've got many versions of GTA:IV on my HDD; a default CD v1.0.0.1, a unmodded/untouched v1.0.7.0, a barebones modded, a LCPD:FR, LCPD:FR with Graphics, normal with Graphics, & a version with almost all vehicles modded. Easy to keep everything seperate & reduce possibility of conflicts. For the possible CD loosing, there's a No-CD fix on the net that I use :D (of course, you'll still need the CD if you want to install in another PC or format your PC)
  12. I only have one thing to show my reaction to this........
  13. ahh yes, I've heard about the Falcon when I was searching for some Flying Simulators. Thanks for the offer, but I'm pretty busy nowadays to start on a new game. I might take you up on it sometime in the future tho
  14. Very cool. I love military planes <3 Which game is this from, btw? Is it Ace Combat?
  15. Pretty cool. I like the background locations
  16. Modders will likely find a way to mod V, that's true. but R* will still try their level best to stop modding in V. Although they aren't stupid, & do check out the modding scene & mods that come out. If they find something really nice/worthy of showing off, they'll post it. It's basically free Advertisement for the game that way. But that still doesn't mean they like it, or will not try to make the game less mod-able. It kind of discredits their team that worked on the game. (I think discredits is the wrong word, but hope you can get the sense behind it). (A rough/vague comparison) It's like you did a huge, tough homework, working overnights for more than a week & a classmate steals it & modifies a line or two slightly & submits it. You would feel a bit angry & upset, wouldn't you? Kinda the same thing with R* & modders. Modders take the original code & modify it slightly (more or less, depending on what you want) to do something else. EDIT: Damn you ineseri! Ninja'ing me! EDIT2: Guess I missed a lot while writing this, 3 posts, huehuehue
  17. I drive my awesome Contender, or my Emperor. I'll attach pics after EDIT: Also forgot to mention my off-duty MP vehicle, Huntley. PICS!! (Can't attach steam pics, so here's the links) :- http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/52107177842409770/CCBCE7D436BC2F906619B1C2BA25C27E86643064/ http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/52107177842419790/1934868082D9164FB4D29B9362A702ADBA267B2E/ http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/52107177842435120/3ABA32795FD8B8ED3D6AEBDCF9C983DB91AA1ADC/
  18. That's basically your best option currently. If you & your friend can VC (Voice chat) (or he can type it, if you both know LC nicely) then you can give each other vague locations of the call (kinda like real life). Then you try to get near there & wait for your friend & follow them to the actual call. That's the best you can do, for now. Who knows, maybe someone might make it in the future, or in the future if/when LCPD:FR starts to optimize for MP we'll get it.
  19. Just google "GTA IV Added Cars" & follow the 1st link for gtaforums.com topic "Add New Car GTA IV". Name the .wtf & .wtd files police3, or police4. (If you want them to spawn in traffic, edit cargrp.dat, & add police3 or police4 to the Police group). For the .wtf & .wtd files, you can try other non-IV names too, like cvpilcpd, chargerlapd, etc. But the siren & the game reconizing it as a police vehicle is not guarenteed to work. Works for some people, doesn't for others (same with police3 / 4).
  20. What are your PC's specs? Are your Graphics (GPU) Drivers up-to date? It may be the GPU acting up or such. Try monitoring your CPU & GPU usage while playing & see which maxs out when the lags happen. I don't know any, so just Google for some Monitoring programs.
  21. HOLY FUK!! I mean, FUK'n WOWzers. I think that's how everyone expected WD to look, & now, they can experience it.
  22. Hello! & Welcome to LCPD:FR! Hope you have a pleasant stay! & be good, or else ...
  23. huh..... Are you sure you don't have / have never installed any map mods? Try a clean install of GTA:IV, that should get rid of it, I guess. Also try getting to the furthest West of the map that you can, get a boat or heli & fly more West. And keep going for a while & seeing if the lag goes or not. In any case, I can't think of anything else other than a clean install of IV to solve it.
  24. Could you give more details as to where you are exactly when this happens? It could be for various reasons, for eg: If you're at the southern-most parts of the map & you look north & it lags, could be because of your draw-distance, It could be because of a certain part of the map that's having trouble being rendered. You can google for a map of LC & draw (using Paint or another such application) on it places where it lags & in which direction you're facing when it does. Some common causes / solutions to try:- Reduce your View & Detail distances ingame. To make it quick, set both to 0 & 0, & test it out. If the problem still happens, then it maybe something else causing it. It could be a problem with your graphics card, or something in your GTA:IV installtion that corrupted a part of the map (again, test it further to find out which part of the map / if a part of the map is corrupted).
