  1. Really unusual, not sure at this point. Since the install is simple, and obviously you did it right if its running, allthough i don't know about lcpdfr crashing due to it. Best i know really, sorry ;-;.
  2. I'm sure the i5 would perform better. almost any modern Intel CPU would outperform an AMD CPU, from personal experience and in general AMD CPU's are pretty bad in comparison. I think of them as a budget processor, and in technical terms it performs differently with certain games because of the 8 cores, can't really go into detail there though. You should be fine on GTA-V
  3. Check your PM's. are you installing the ENB's correctly? Also, 1.0.7.0 is NOT the latest version if you are using EFLC. It differs, you might want to look it up. With GTAIV you would manually have to download patch 1.0.7.0 from rockstars website, you can do the same for EFLC. [1.1.2.0] here incase you aren't already at the latest version.
  4. You have to set these manually, go to your LCPDFR folder (Root GTAIV); and there should be a LCPDFR diagnostics tool, open this and configure lcpdfr, select the lcpdfr.ini in your gta folder and then tweak the values for callouts and such, there's other useful things as well. Then hit save and hop in game, you should be good, you can tweak the minimum and maximum callout times to have them happen whenever really. You can also enable random world events so stuff just spawns. Alternatively, you can edit the lcpdfr.ini in notepad or notepad++ and tweak the values. Also, depending on how your computer is the game won't spawn huge callouts if it can't handle it. there's a console option to override this, SetPerformanceMode.
  5. Build one. It's fairly easy and you can really learn quick, even without youtube help most of the stuff is common sense when installing parts, Don't make the mistake I did and buy a prebuilt PC. They're a lot more expensive than building one. Use a site called pcpartpicker. If you know nothing about what brands/parts to buy, look up a good first PC build. If you are on a tight budget I reccomend an AMD GPU, usually cheaper than Nvidia. Go for intel for your CPU, depending on what you'll be doing you can find a decent i5 or i7, like I said look up the details and pcpartpicker will price them up for you, as well as show compatibility issues. I put together a quick build similar to my current one, but better (sadly I'm stuck with an AMD processor), and It priced up at about $1200 compared to the $1350 i payed for this. If you want a decent PC you'll be paying at-least $900-$1000, after buying your OS and extra parts (monitor, keyboard/mouse, etc.) If you really aren't fond of building one and you want to go for the extra couple hundred, newegg, amazon and tons of other sites offer prebuilt PC's. Just don't end up with a reference card and an outdated CPU.
  6. Try CryENB. I used it and it was pretty satisfying with very little performance drop on my R9 280. Still ran at about 40 frames, lowest. Try running the medium or normal preset, if you get good frames boost it higher until you like it. One thing the bloom is extremely high, and it's kind of annoying but I think you can tweak it in one of the ini's, unless you like what every ENB does, increase the bloom by 500%, It's pretty blinding. When you install the ENB try making a new save after installing it, Make sure your video settings are atleast high, otherwise you will get a crash regarding a memory issue. Also try a commandline, many people with great computers can run the game but not without a commandline, it really stabilizes the game. Look up the variables for a commandline.txt or try the one CryENB comes with, I remember I had to do some tweaking first and with certain commands I wouldn't crash anymore. I would send you the one I used but I uninstalled GTAIV once V came out, I can't really play IV anymore, too much hassle to re-install everything and mod it to the max. If you don't want the extra bloom, sunglare, and high-res stuff then you can try an ENB that was made for ELS, which usually just improves the look of ELS lights and makes them look nicer. Just my experience, try it for yourself.
  7. Is noose still going to be a thing? Personally I'd rather call in an actual noose truck than the ones hanging onto the car, that's an easy ticket to death for them, along with an aggressive suspect or busy traffic. would FIB be considered stronger than NOOSE? I agree with this, sorry but it's kind of true, they were pretty bad compared to what can hopefully be worked with now. I know its an early stage of development but I also noticed that you haven't added any types of blips yet, I'm sure you guys have time to figure all that out (which you probably already have, you guys work fast )
  8. It's probably worth mentioning that the cops put their hands on their gun holster when threatened, usually if the player walks close to a cop. Do you think this animation could be utilized in the future? I think it would be pretty neat just as extra eye candy, before actually drawing your weapon. Just for realism. And the fact that you actually take the gun from your holster now (so to speak) sounds pretty cool
  9. It would look good if thats what you like, however there would be no voice lines that the police officers use, you'd be pretty much mute the entire time. I think this would be good as an extra feature later on, for people who want to do it that way. I am however interested in what Sam said about possibly changing the way going on duty works, I think that would be cool to have things mixed up a bit.
  10. Almost 90% of the time when I try to insert an image from a URL it doesn't work, just an infinite loading. It worked about once or twice before but now only certain things work. Is it possible you can just enable direct image uploads? I think that would work better.
  11. Oh damn, can't wait
  12. Really theres no need to do that. Because if they come back and do it again, guess what, Enjoy the 2 week ban. Or worse, after a set amount of punishments i'm pretty certain it would go to a perma. Some people just use cheat engine to get in some extra money which isn't a big deal, thats not hurting anyone and unless you work at R* nobody should care about what YOU do, unless you're going around bragging how many cars and guns you have, saying you earned it legit. As for the people ruining the game by putting on godmode and explosive bullets, and all that crazy shit maybe it should be a bit more severe. They're TRYING to hurt other people by ruining the online experience. Also level hacking is hard to detect if you do it right.
  13. If you guys get any more groundbreaking or nice features you should update http://www.lcpdfr.com/lspdfr/ or post it, I for one would love to see any major progress. It's a time based thing, we'll all have to wait but if you come up with anything share it Sam Also, I'm not exactly a developer, somebody fill me in on what the RAGE Plugin Hook will be used for, what role does it take? Is it just a part of scripting within GTA's RAGE engine? http://ragepluginhook.net/ComingSoon.aspx
  14. Yeah, I know every shadow setting doesnt do it. As for PCSS, the AMD CHS (Same thing for AMD users) just hides the shadow under a blurry shadow, looks like shit if you ask me.
  15. see: http://www.lcpdfr.com/sapdfr.info/
  16. I don't see why you're so upset about the matter. You can't always get what you want, thats not how it works. The information the devs are giving is more than what they could be giving, they easily could of made us wait for a release with no trailer, and no info, be glad they gave us a trailer. It might not be a whole list of features like they did with LCPDFR 1.0's release, but the game hasn't been out long enough to show more. As they uncover more stuff they will post about it, as you can see Sam has been posting updates on what he's found, If you want to know that badly take it up with them personally, maybe they'll set up a dev blog and post full technical information if thats what you'd like, which infact I think would be pretty neat too. my point is, theres no reason to take the "WOOOOOOW thats all they're showing?" approach. they decided to announce they are working on the mod, which is pretty much what everyone wanted, considering the daily questions being asked on their facebook and the forums about when LSPDFR is coming out. Let's just say people would of been a lot more disappointed had they not said anything at all and just silently developed it. With all due respect towards your "opinion" I'm expecting the "lol ur just a user im talking to the devs not you!!!" response.
  17. No, this has nothing to do with rockstar being against modding. They simply updated some hashes and code in certain areas, resulting in the scripthook being temporarily broken. once the creator of the V-Scripthook can see these new hashes and such, he'll edit around the scripthook and update it, making it work for the current version. It's just because people are trying to run a scripthook meant for an OUTDATED version of the game, simply won't work. If they were really, REALLY against modding altogether they simply would of blocked it by now. They're pretty much neutral on the matter, they aren't against singleplayer mods, but they don't support them either. No matter what they do however modders will always figure out a way to get around it, its just a matter of how difficult they make it.
  18. If the game wasn't 50 goddamn gigabytes I would of just copied it somewhere else for separate mod use...Either way I'd rather just wait for the scripthook to be fixed, not worth downgrading to an older version unless you REALLY like modding that much, I'm sure it will be updated and working by the end of this weekend.
  19. Sadly, no. to my understanding you don't have access to a lot of the games files yet, right? last time I checked stuff like OpenIV still didnt have an edit feature, it's read only and most stuff wont open. I also never understood why rockstar didn't implement a better "arrest" animation or situation. They were always lazy or stupid with it, for example in gtaiv they would just put their hands up and get in the car, instead of a simple handcuff animation, and maybe even a model for handcuffs. hopefully you can find a way around this, in due time. I think their lack of full modding support is part of the issue, they just kind of threw in what they wanted, and it was something pretty cheap. Atleast stuff like spikestrips are already in the game, you should be able to put them at roadblocks and I think that would be pretty neat.
  20. Thanks for the feedback. I'll eliminate that option off my list.
  21. well honestly ELS does the same thing but a lot prettier and more bloom, plus some extra lights. it's eyecandy really. I mis-stated what I really meant, so yeah i guess you're right.
  22. So, I teleport into the GTA:O apartment, which I had to walk through an invisible maze to get to anddd... Just found this a little weird for a place that has no use in the game other than online. I guess it's counted as a normal house, or something along those lines.
  23. I have not, however I'm using AMD's current beta driver meant to work with GTA 5. I'm not the only one having the issue though, see This post on reddit and Rockstar Support. I have a friend running the game on 100% maxed out settings on a 295x2, he doesnt have this issue so it makes me suspect one of the settings is causing it. I'm gonna try bumping up the Post-FX and Shader quality to Very high from High, otherwise I might just contact Rockstar like I said, I want to know why that slider is disabled too.
  24.  Err no. with ignore suggested limits on, still wont let me: Before you ask, Distance scaling and Extended Distance Scaling doesnt fix the issue either. I already tried. such a weird problem, everything else on normal graphics is mostly high, some very high/ultra, Filters are 16x (besides MSAA, thats a real performance fucker). I just don't get it ;-;
  25. Nope, doesn't work. Just tried it. as I said every graphics option related to shadows has been tried by either me or people with the same problem, nothing seems to be fixing it. I have hopes for Extended Shadow Distance but its greyed out for me and I can't use it. Plus with that maxed the performance issues would be through the roof. If it keeps bugging me i'll probably contact R* Thanks for the suggestion though.
