  1. Not sure about the exact error in the log, as I'm usually not but by chance do you have any LCPDFR API plugins installed? (Wouters callouts, Callouts+, etc.) Because I know one or more of those causes the same thing for me, in the current release of LCPDFR.
  2. As for the AI following the player I would hope thats able to be toggled, What about double pursuits? I've had many incidents where two or even three cars split up in a pursuit, if all the AI are following me, they can't apprehend the other(s). Yes, I've seen the AI arrest fleeing suspects without me being there, mostly on foot but I'm pretty sure by car as well. It's a good idea nonetheless but it should just be added to the pursuit menu. More control over the AI is always great. As for toggling ground units already in F8 pursuit menu, that just determines weather the AI will ram the suspects car or not. If you have them on passive they stay a good distance back and let you do the work, while staying in pursuit, as where aggressive they'll start ramming the car and trying to pit it, which is where things get messy when you have HUGE pursuits. I limit my pursuit AI to 3 or 4, even that can get hectic. in addition to overall pursuits I would LOVE if the pursuit can be considered ended at either: your own will (QAM menu to call off pursuits) or have it automatically end when you CUFF the suspect, as where backup still comes endlessly until they are in the car which is pretty annoying in my opinion. This is hopefully fixed in 1.0d
  3. It doesn't lack ragdoll, but it sure isn't soft body physics. Look at a comparison from IV to V, it looks a ton worse in my opinion. I liked the euphoria in IV, now it just looks like an animation more than physics. I do hope modders can figure something out, but it might require modding the games engine, so I don't know.
  4. Thanks for the reply Sam! I've noticed about 80% of the time toggling Lethal Force in the menu stops the AI from shooting when I'm trying to arrest, for example earlier I tried and NOOSE moved in on someone with a gun and got them to drop it, which was pretty interesting. I guess it's a random chance it will happen (For me, atleast) for now it's not too much of a major deal, the only rare case that happens is, like I explained when the suspect loses his weapon but the cops continue shooting. Hopefully you guys figure something out for the animations, obviously not a must but would be nice to get some better arrest positions, and I do imagine it's difficult getting the cops positioned right without causing a mess. Other than that I still don't see AI with tasers anymore...like ever, once in a blue moon during a pursuit they will taze the suspect when they try to run, such as getting out of a car but not to often. As what I said in another thread, the pursuit should be considered ended when the suspect is in cuffs, right now LCPDFR waits for the cuffed suspect to be in a car, which causes tons of backup and ELS cars to stay until he's physically in a car. There should atleast be more QAM menu options for pursuits, such as being able to end a pursuit or "call it off" one other thing, I know it's probably impossible because GTAIV but the Ambulance driving is just a mess, and they don't even heal people when i call them. I use Abraxas's VdH Policehelper for the Ambulance but once they revive the person you can't arrest them, now if they're in critical condition they should be sent to the hospital but if they aren't I think otherwise. And...because the vdH ambulance tends to crash a bunch in certain situations, so having it with LCPDFR would be nice, they just dont get out they drive right past and ram into more shit Plus along with the issue I have where dead bodies, and cops when I'm not looking at them disappear on a bunch of occasions, which I'm really not sure about. That's all, I guess I'll just see whats up in 1.0d. Thanks.

Well I figure thats why it's considered toggleable, I would like the option to have the AI use lethal force or not, and if It's unauthorized have them only use it in 100% necessary situations (Like I stated, if the suspect aims a weapon at an officer or ped). It's pretty unrealistic that you would shoot the shit out of a downed suspect who dropped their weapon, In extreme cases I've had them shoot when they put their hands up, and I move in for the arrest. I know LCPD isnt all realistic but once again It's my personal preference Hopefully one of the devs looks this over.
  6. Reinstalling literally wouldnt do anything. I've reinstalled about a week ago to fix some other issue, but if you want me to I'll try again. Could be something in my ini but I'm not sure, all I know is 99% of the time they're lethal if the suspect has a weapon, weather I tase them and they comply or not.

I really miss the soft body physics from IV, It was a lot more fun to see people ragdoll when shot or hit, and it just felt a bit more realistic. sucks that they took that out. as for the chases, despite the LOS feature rather than knowing exactly where you are, it still seems a bit like the police can see through walls. For example, if I robbed a gas station and hid up in an ally behind a couple dumpsters which is about one hiding location out of 10 or 15 others, the cops would INSTANTLY come to my hiding spot when they arrive, and I was hiding before they even got there, It just seems like the first spot the cops search is a very close area of where you exactly are. but don't get me wrong, still an improvement from IV.

  10. Just recently got a new mouse, with two extra buttons and I can confirm they are bindable as Mouse 4 and Mouse 5. I can't however figure out the binding in LCPDFR.ini for it. Is it even possible to bind to MOUSE keys? I would like to bind my HolsterTaser to my Mouse 4 and have T as a free key for some other script(s). I've tried MOUSE4 as a variable but didn't work, just set back to T when it saw it wasn't a valid key. EDIT: Whoops. Wrong section, Sorry!

Well the only suggestion I'll throw in is get rid of Norton. it's terrible, there's so many more anti-viruses you can download and Norton has to be one of the worse, It's hypersensitive and thinks everything is a virus. It's also a pain in the ass to rid of, Uninstalling still leaves stuff behind. I recommend avast or something paid (ilke BitDefender) Otherwise if you really somehow think it's correct, Just try to add a rule (if norton allows that) for the file/Autoinstaller if your using it.

  14. Oh I didn't know you were playing the actual game, as you mentioned missions. Anyways you can take out the lower-graphic settings stuff like the shadow/texture and rendering as well as the FPS-limit. I barely average 25-30 FPS on my low-end computer so I keep things at a minimum, however that seems not to be your case. As for alt tabbing, that personally messes up my game and if anything causes short-term FPS drop after tabbing in. Use CleanMem and set it to automatically clear your Cache file as well as memory every 5 minutes or so, I've set this with windows as well so after booting it starts cleaning every 5 minutes, It really helps me (I'm not sure about you, it varies by PC) and the only noticeable thing is a 1 second or less freeze every time it's set to clean. Having any ENB's/Excessive car mods will have a 90% chance of causing issues, but if your okay with keeping them in then I guess you'll have to find a workaround still. Thats just my experience, If none work then hopefully you find a way. Good luck!
  15. Less car mods, obvious fix. Other than that, you can try my commandline that I personally use. One or more of these commands (availablevidmem/norestrictions) does the trick for me. I used it to fix the disappearing roads but it also seems to *delay* or get rid of missing textures and keeps my game stable for a while. I've attached it. Don't use any -memrestrict commands, as far as I'm concerned thats used for seperate issues. But if this doesn't work you can always take out the -norestrictions and -nomemrestrict for a -memrestrict (value). Another weird issue related to tetxure loss and invisible world(s) happened to me when I adjusted my pagefile. I made it as big as my RAM and set the max a little higher, and I couldn't play without the same issue you are having, Try making a system managed pagefile or a fairly large one if you haven't already got one in use. That's just my experience, There's also one other thing that somebody posted where you can "unlock" the game in a sense letting it utilize more memory, you'd have to search for it. I use that + I have my memory autoclean every 5 minutes and I get no FPS nor memory leak issues, but it's also safe to assume its just GTAIV's terrible port causing memory leakage, and there's not much you can do about that. Yeah, GTA loves doing that. It's fine with some builds and not others, Sucks too
  16. That's what I said Use the vehicle installer and check "Rebuild archive on exit" as well as the ELS box if you're installing ELS-Enabled Vehicles. The problems could be just the amount of car-mods you have as well. You can't overloard on them, especially if your system doesn't meet requirements set to the game itself. See if it works.
  17. Are you pressing Alt+E after finishing the callout to return to available? See the phone icon in the bottom left after completing a callout, press alt+E and you will return to normal.
  18. I see you put a lot into your post, which is good and a lot better than 2 word posts saying "help my game crashes". Thanks. Well adding mods is going to obviously cause some instability because of GTAIV's already present instability, but It shouldn't be crashing that often. However I used to crash that often, but that was the first release of 1.0 The error you displayed in the code is the game not reading the PreLoadAllModels line. Did you use the LCPDFR Game configuration to edit your lcpdfr.ini? It's located in your LCPDFR folder as an exe. Try checking the box "PreLoadAllModels", It can increase stability but may cause more texture loss problems. I also think you have insufficient RAM. I'm no coder but when the game is spawning things I'm fairly certain it eats up memory fast, especially with GTA being prone to leaks. As well as your graphics card being outdated, this may be part of the problem. The game is already a bad port, so combine that with an old(ish) computer and it won't agree. As for multiplayer, you and your friend MUST MUST MUST have the EXACT same scripts and car mods. Some exceptions apply to scripts (like the vdH towscript) but car mods must be the same and LCPDFR shouldn't have too many problems. Try posting your scripthook.log as well as your ScriptHookDotNet log, but try setting PreLoadAllModels to true in your LCPDFR.ini (Use the exe). Lower some values like the amount of cops in pursuit(s), and change the callout frequency as spawning too many will probably eat up your computers resources. Also, what settings are you playing on? I assume not too high but just to doublecheck. Try those solutions and see if the problem persists. As for your car mods, how many cars did you mod with that pack? If you have almost every car modded, i can almost guarantee that's the issue. with the low-medium amount of RAM and the old GPU I'm sure something is car related crashes, If the other solution doesn't work try removing the carpack (Get a fresh vehicles.img, hopefully you backed it up, if not download one online that matches your game version) Try unticking read only on your GTA directory as well as subdirectories (Common and pc, as well as common/data) in properties. Hope I could help!
  19. Well firstly as far as I'm concerned, older versions of lcpdfr are not currently supported, and only the newest version (1.0c) is. Anyways, since this is car reated, when you say skin I think you mean car model. If you literally mean just a texture change I'm not sure because when I mod cars I mod the entire car, despite my low-poly pack. Anyways, I think I see your problem as It's happened to me: When you use Open/SparkIV after REPLACING a file (Such as HORNS.ivuad or police/police2, etc), try rebuilding the archive. I always used to crash because I wasn't rebuilding, in edit mode click "File" or the equivalent in the top left, and go to Rebuild. Click rebuild and there you go, do this after you add a new file or replace something. As for the other guy's reply, making a new save does help as well. i never play on a save after modding cars just because I get SMPA60 more often. Oh and, I suggest not using a manual install for cars, It's my personal preference but I think it would be easier to use GTAIV Vehicle Mod Installer. It has an option for ELS enabled cars which (may) make it more stable on install. It also automatically rebuilds the archive when exiting, which saves you the trouble. If you want to revert to the original vehicle pack, you need to backup the file "vehicles.img" located in pcmodelscdimages of your GTA folder. Copy and paste it somewhere. If you don't want to wait "8 hours" (That's long...mine takes 2 hours tops) you can find a fresh vehicles.img online somewhere.
  20. Topic status: Derailed I still believe you should be able to frisk/ID already arrested peds, considering dealing with multipule peds is hard during a pursuit. I've had one guy running while I was arresting another, and I had to quickly do something with the first one, so I detained him and he ran to my car. Come back and there's cops ramming MY car telling him to get out, because he wasn't cuffed. This should really be fixed. As well as being able to get prisoner transport for MULTIPLE suspects. I can already do that but it will send two cars, when police cars can hold up to two suspects (I usually use pstockade, i think that's two as well) and i just think it would save space. ​Oh I could sit here all day and come up with idea's for pursuits, transport and just...well general ideas. I think I'll add to this reply every time I think of something. P.S: StartCallout doesn't work. Unless your using wouterscallouts or callouts+,which I'm waiting for updates on because most of the features are broken. The wasteland seems pretty nice right now, and I don't really need the command atm but a debug menu would still be nice.

Not the way you explained it, but the idea of changing the values in genreal, i would have to look into it extensively, and for such a small problem It's probably not worth it, but thanks a bunch! If It becomes too big of a problem i'll refer to this and see what I can do. Solved.

The less extra pieces and parts on the car, the less polygon count (most likely) For example, the default LCPD stock police car(s), If you were to download an NYPD version with almost the same texture and technically the same design/car structure, it's a low poly car. Or you could just open the model in OpenIV and see "Polygons" at the top left, compare them to the default cars. Speaking of what I said, I recommend this pack of cars, I use them and I get no crashing issues as well as no more SMPA60 see the vids description.
  23. So anything specific? Not really sure what i'm doing and I wouldn't want to mess anything up, but i'll take a look through the file. I just need the heads to match the right voice, It's only mismatched when I change their body-piece, It seems to only happen with the kevlar vest that says "POLICE" on it, everything else matches up. Turns out a couple other models do this as well, usually when forcing duty or certain parts don't match up. Thanks.
