  1. Do you happen to use any ENB's? I know CryENB has an issue related to this, if you have your settings below high (such as textures). Post your specs too, please. how much VRAM do you have too? If none of those apply then try a commandline with -nomemrestrict and -norestrictions. If that doesn't work try -memrestrict [value] (replace the value with whatever texture settings you play with, see the chart here.) As for the infinite loading, go to your appdata>local>Rockstar Games>GTAIV>savegames and delete the folder(s) in there. Then go to Documents>Rockstar games>GTAIV>saves and do the same, except for ControlMap.
  2. Delete AdvancedHookInit.asi in your root folder, and follow the instructions here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/topic/25936-how-to-manually-install-the-lcpdfr-taser-in-lcpdfr-10/ You will have to edit the values manually as the download for the taser files is broken due to the forum being upgraded. I've gone ahead and uploaded the three files for the taser. Put them in your common/data folder and replace anything existing, be sure to still delete AdvancedHookInit.asi in your root folder. Files attached. default.dat gta.dat images.txt
  3. Lost his job out of nowhere and said he most likely couldn't mod anymore. Then his last message was "As I said before developement of my mods is suspended. I don't know if I will be able to get back to scripting.", hasn't visited the site since January of last year. And now we wait in anticipation No hurry though really
  4. I would greatly appreciate if he worked on any of abraxas's scripts or made something similar. But besides that, his scripts that he is making now are great. Once LSPDFR is released i'm sure he'll start releasing stuff alongside it. Pretty sure he browses this thread, Finkone we'll be looking forward to whatever it is you make this time. Back on topic, though: I'm sure an API will be released with LSPDFR eventually correct? (Directed towards any of the devs), in LCPDFR this kind of turned out small and not many callouts were made on the api but I'd hope more would with V, either way I would hope there's a good amount of callouts and events in store regardless with it's initial release :P Only time will tell.
  5. It's too bad he's gone...I really was hoping somebody would continue his work and update one of the vdH scripts, he had an unreleased beta of his policehelper that only some people have. It would of been awesome to see a policehelper in GTAV, alongside LSPDFR. ;_;7
  6. No order really. Be wary though, with graphics mods you will need to most likely have your settings already on high (such as textures) or you'll get memory issues and crashing. Also good to have a commandline with nomemrestrict, or memrestrict depending if you get textures issues, check your specs before installing graphics mods. CryENB especially has this issue with memory if you aren't on the highest settings, in some users. I would't install "Ultimate graphics" and an ENB together either, unless it's just road textures or something of that nature. and if you're going to install vehicle mods don't save any cars, you'll end up with SMPA60 (Although I don't think you'll be saving police cars. Rule of thumb for me is I always make a new save if I install a car mod, police or not just to prevent issues.)
  7. Seems like his ELS just wont turn on. Do you have other mods installed? Make sure you an asi loader installed as well as AdvancedHook, If you use LCPDFR with ELS you should be using the ones that come with the lcpdfr install and not ELS, as they may differ (seems like the lcpdfr ones work fine with ELS however). Do you have any logfiles you can post? If the game is simply not picking it up then you put something in a wrong folder or you don't have the right loaders. ELS folder goes in root folder. ELS.ini and ELS.asi go in the root folder and not the ELS folder, I assume you did this. If you have any logs to post, scripthook or asi post them. try turning through lightsgaes with J in game once in a police vehicle with ELS enabled (be sure to go to slotcontrol.ini in the ELS folder and set them)
  8. Try the solution(s) posted here You need to make sure have AdvancedHook.dll in your main GTAIV folder, as well as the packages for .NET and C++ Redist. Check the links in that thread and download the x86 versions. Also make sure you have ONE asi loader, either dsound.dll or xlive.dll in your main folder.
  9. Gonna need more detail than that. Is it not starting when you press Alt+P? Make sure you installed the mod correctly, if you don't know how use the automatic installer instead. Make sure you also have all the dependices to play the game, If the launcher says you have an asi loader and scripthook then make sure you've downloaded the necessary packages such as C++ Redists and .NET such as this and this. http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=5555 http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30679 Download the (x86) versions.
  10. Yeah its all good. I'll just deal with it for now, I don't play it that often anyways but it's playable for now. eventually, I'll upgrade or just build a new rig and I should be okay then. maybe after this GPU upgrade things will go a bit smoother.
  11. Your best bet is somebody who has had the problem before will reply, or you can see one of the 10 or 15 threads regarding this issue, just try the solutions posted there, I found a bunch. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=lcpdfr+error+in+loader.loader Good luck!
  12. Already at work I see yard, I loved some of your previous stuff from GTAIV. Will have to check this out
  13. Well I can tell you the FX-series is shit, at least with my experience. Especially with any games that are CPU heavy like Arma. AMD-FX 8320 clocked at 4GHz, 8 cores and an AMD R9 280-3GB as my GPU. didn't really want to get a reference card but like I said, I didn't build this PC so I kind of had no choice. At the end of the year I'm upgrading to a Saphire Tri-x R9 290 4GB; any probably my power suppply as it already has some issues. I would gladly upgrade my CPU but the motherboard won't allow it, i"d practically be building a new PC if I replaced it. I'll wait until this thing dies in a couple years, since it does me fine with most other games and then I'm building a computer. Anyways, back to my GTA issue. I honestly think It's LCPDFR. I noticed as more updates came the game got harder to run. when I very first tested gta at max settings (besides water and reflections, I think they are unnecessary) I got a solid 60-70 FPS with small drops down to the 50's at most. Gradually, as I installed mods and once LCPDFR updated through the 1.0's and into 1.1 it got worse, I noticed a big change from one of them that other people complained about too. I even used to be able to run CryENB at medium with no issues, now I can barely run the stock game graphics with some mods. I shouldn't say barely, I get 40 FPS at minimum but it's the fact that its a noticeable drop from 60
  14. Because they can't be played by anything, I guess any media player just doesn't support them. OpenIV will figure a way to convert them or have them work on what media players we have.
  15. I use whatever mods I usually do. A couple nesseicites (like TrafficFlow and LessOvertake) and some small things like Finkone's mods (Backup calllout, and his Stop-sticks). Then some vdH stuff, although they are outdated and I don't see abraxas coming back so they might end up a burden. I seem to be at a somewhat stable FPS right now on medium texture, high shadows, medium render distance. If I go into the 60's of detail and view distance thats when it starts to hit my game and I drop to the 40's and 30's, which is really annoying. I've already overclocked my CPU to it's peak at 4.0GHz, my FX-8320 can't really go any higher, and my GPU has been overclocked as well. temps don't seem to be a problem, my CPU is liquid cooled and stays below 50c at all times, even under 100% load it hasnt managed to go above 48c. My GPU is usually in the mid 60's and sometimes 70's, it's designed to get up to 95c so I'm fine there really. I honestly think most of the problems I have is my CPU, It's a shitty processor, most AMD processors are bad, even for 8 cores and its clockspeed. I'd much rather have an i5 or i7, a quad core i7 at 3.5GHz easily beats what I have now (Depending on the i7, a 4770k would be nice.) when I got this PC i was on a heavy budget and I didn't even build it. My next build is defeintly going to be Intel CPU and i'll continue using R9 200 series since that never failed me. Thanks for the tips. If it gets any more unstable I'll try removing unnecessary things
  16. I doubt it. I think we still have to wait for a way to open the format. I've never seen it before. It's probably going to be some more time until siren and/or car mods are a thing, you could always view and export the audio files since OpenIV supported GTAV (version 2.5) only thing you can do now is replace them. however somebody should experiment with it, since you can replace files now.
  17. Err, I'm not sure if anyone saw it yet, or if its of any importance but OpenIV had an update allowing some archives (RPF) and for models to be viewed. I'm sure about animations or anything like that but nevertheless it's an update, is it of any use towards the mods development? What they've added. They haven't updated their download button with the newest version but the update was released on the front page with todays date. http://openiv.com
  18. If it was that big of a deal they would of locked the thread and told everyone to go to the GTAV discussion and/or a new subforum before they reached 17 pages of it here. It CAN easily be done there, but people seem more comfortable posting about it here. But I can't say you're wrong, it is a bit messy with all the different responses in the announcement thread, let's just see where it goes from here.
  19. I'm sure they'll open a suggestions page soon enough, It's still somewhat early in development as far as we know and they might not be at a stage where they are ready to take suggestions, first they need to build the base of the mod and get the basic features in, then thats when they start adding new stuff, that's just my common sense guess really, only time will tell. This is pretty much the "General Discussion" of LSPDFR so far, as you could tell by the pages of responses.
  20. Welp it's about that time of the year where I re-install GTAIV for another month or two until I get tired of it :p However my frames are really weirdly choppy, depending on the area I'm in. I understand more mods is more instability and I actually believe it might be the HD Road textures which I'm ridding of right now, besides that with Textures, and Shadows on high I get around 40-50fps which sounds great but honestly it's kind of annoying compared to the 60 I'm used to, I really don't know how I used to play with 15-20 on my laptop. With shadows off I get around 60-70fps with nothing going on, but no shadows looks more odd than bad. Does anyone have any options they play with that get great performance even with some mods installed? what about a good commandline? My old one wont work, all it did was turn everything down to the lowest possible. I'm gonna try the FarClip method to save up some memory, I don't get texture loss or anything like that it's just the up and down of framerate in different areas. Edit: Old road textures are back, FPS doesn't seem unbearable. Any useful commands can be posted still but it seems to be fine for now, I'll try to refrain from installing more mods.
  21. Do you have the right dependencies? AdvancedHook that came with 1.1, ONE either dsound or xlive.dll (Asi loader). Make sure you have This and This installed Generally the fix for this issue is making sure you have all the C++ Redists, download the one above and this one: here
  22. Don't worry about it. Unless you're having an actual issue in game it's nothing to worry about, I get that as well. Any mishaps in the logfile are picked up as a problem.
  23. Err, I meant 1.1 sorry, didn't mean to say 1.0. And I've installed 1.1 manually, taser didn't work until I got the files. Thanks though.
  24. Yeah I kind of figured that was the problem. I'm gonna see if it will work without the manual install but I doubt it really, never did for me before.
  25. So a couple different downloads have similar issues showing code seen in the below image. I'm reinstaling LCPDFR fresh on GTA and I kind of need the taser files off of a post by Sam however when I try to download the zip I get http://gyazo.com/511b6e59edf1b86a57198d6b2cdebf00 like I said this happened a couple times on other downloads with similar errors. The topic of download is here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/topic/25936-how-to-manually-install-the-lcpdfr-taser-in-lcpdfr-10/
