  1. I like the script, however, you should tweak itt a little.
  2. That is why you should install one at a time and play it for a bit, especially a new mod, so you know what works and what doesn't. In fact, you should go back to the vanilla LCPDFR and install one mod, then play for a bit, then install the next and do the same. It can be time consuming at first, but once you know what works you shouldn't need to test that mod any longer. Also, some high-poly ELS car mods will crash your game. If having issues, don't mod police-police4 slots, just mod the FBI or Noose slot and keep the cars that spawn as non-els low-mid poly cars only. That will help tremendously. I only use the super high quality ELS police cars in two slots, Noose and nStockade, those slots don't spawn very often. I mod the other police slots with low/mid poly non-els cars only. DrDetroit
  3. Thanks for the heads up and link. Seems to smooth out the bumps a bit. Does it need to be applied prior to every game play or just the one time? Good day, DrDetroit
  4. Ahhh...I see the difference and makes total sense. Excellent explanation by the way, thank you. I see what you mean; CADs purpose is making parts that fit other parts in real world dimensions and precision so they can be machined/constructed, and Zmodeler is about modeling with polygons to create as accurate a representation of the model as possible without respect to actual dimensions used to machine a part or parts (CAD). Thanks again, I'm going to start learning Zmodeler this summer. DrDetroit
  5. Good morning, afternoon, evening...where ever in the universe you may be! Was just curious if a CAD model can be converted and used in GTAIV? Also, I'm very proficient in CAD 2011, that being said, is zModeler the same sort of user interface, functionality and mechanics as AutoCaD? In other words, would one that is proficient in CAD be able to jump into zModeler and be able to create the models similarly as using AutoCAD? Hope that makes sense. Thanks for your help. Good day, DrDetroit
  6. Try using Chikmaru's Real Traffic and Traffic Load. See if you have the same issue with those. I like both of these alternatives better and I'm constantly switching between the two. You see all the cars available (80+ with these two), you only get 20 with Traffic Flow and TF seems to spawn traffic in alleyways, on the boardwalk, beaches and sidewalks, which is goofy. You can adjust the amount of peds and traffic in the trafficload.ini file but it has a tiny bit of texture flashing after awhile. Real Traffic give massive amounts of diverse traffic and peds with no texture flashing or loss at all, but it's a little more of a system hog. Just unzip either one into your scripts folder. Links are in this list of mods: Good luck! DrDetroit
  7. Good point. The cruise light is the "[" key, correct? DrDetroit
  8. Do you have a config file in you ELS folder? There should be a ELS lighting config in there. DrDetroit
  9. Dude, love that Taurus and skin. Got a link? Also, the call-out is very cool. I like the idea of the car/suspects driving around somewhere in the city waiting for you to find them. Until you the find the vehicle it's kind of like an APB call (All Points Bulletin). Very nice! Looking forward to checking it out! Thanks for posting. Good day, DrDetroit
  10. ELS files go into the games main directory, not scripts folder. There should be an ELS.ini, ELS.asi and the ELS folder that will be in the main directory, depending on which game you're playing. In my case I'm using EFLC (Steam version) and the path to my game directory is: C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty CityEFLC Make sure you have the cars enabled in the ELS.ini (turn from "off" to "on"). I just noticed you did this already. Also, if your OS is WinXP, I don't think ELS works with that OS. Good luck! DrDetroit
  11. In the ELS.ini there is a [Misc Settings]. You can change the delay settings...see my settings to speed up the lighting patterns: [ MISC SETTINGS ] FlashSoundFx = on FlashDelay_Sp = 0 FlashDelay_Mp = 1 FlashDelayWW_Sp = 1 FlashDelayWW_Mp = 1 Good day, DrDetroit
  12. Are you using the "LaunchEFLC.exe" or "LaunchGTAIV.exe" located in the main directory? Good day, DrDetroit
  13. After the arrest, try aiming at the suspect then hitting F10, F9. Although sometimes they just don't show. Good day, DrDetroit
  14. Run the Diagnostic Tool located in the downloads page. Post the results. DrDetroit
  15. I think you have to remove the registry entries from the older install, before you install GTAIV again. Been awhile, but I seem to remember having the same problem. I ran my registry cleaners before installing again, that fixed the issue for me. Good day, DrDetroit
  16. If you have TBOGT and TLATD, just go to the TBGOT folder located: C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty CityEFLCTBoGTpcmodelscdimages There, in that vehicle.img, you'll find the policeb wft and wtd that you can put in a nice modded els police bike and pull folks over. Good day, DrDetroit
  17. If you are running high poly ELS cars in the police-police4 slots, may cause issues with the game crashing, as those cop cars spawn the most. I would suggest you only mod the police slots with low poly non-els cars. Use your Nstockade or Noose slot for the high poly ELS cars you want to drive. Tip: Only mod one car at a time (or add one mod at a time), then play the game for awhile. This way you can determine what causes the crashes. If you mod all the cars and add a ton of other mods, then realize your game if funked up you'll never be able to determine what the issue is. Good day, DrDetroit
  18. The user name "Handling Socket Error" is due to the LCPDFR server going down. Will not effect gameplay at all. Once the server is back up, that error will go away. The game connects to LCPDFR in order to track your in-game stats. No need to re-install anything. DrDetroit
  19. I believe that is due to the LCPDFR server crashing over the last few days. The game connects to the server so in-game stats can be collected and posted (tickets, arrests, etc). When the server is down you'll see the "Handling Socket Error"..something to that effect. It will not hamper gameplay at all, LCPDFR just can't collect stats when you see that error. Good day, DrDetroit
  20. Can you post your scripthook txt. Just open and copy/past the whole scripthook text and maybe that will shed some light on what's happening. DrDetroit
  21. You have to get a new 'puter. That thing would have problems running a browser based MMO. Good day, DrDetroit
  22. Can someone help me. LCPDFR doesn't work on my Windows 3.0 machine. ELS sucks!! DrDetroit
  23. I think that's an issue with the LCPDFR server. The game sends data to LCPDFR server to keep track of your in-game stats. It will not effect game play, but I don't think the stats are collected when you see that error, since the server is down when that error pops up in the username of the car's computer. Good day, DrDetroit
