  1. Very useful...at a rave party/dubstep! Pop in a phat 1500watt sound system and tie the lights to the subwoofer so they pop with the bass. Cudos DrDetroit
  2. Jump on Steam, buy the whole Liberty City Episodes pack for like 5 bucks and you're good to go. Use EFLC for LCPDFR if you want a smoother, less buggy experience than the original GTAIV. DrDetroit
  3. Cool, thanks for the good info guys. Down to earth answers. I do not play online, so looks like the XboX for me then, since it's a more powerful machine apparently. One more question; should I grab the 250gig upgrade for the Xbox (what is it...upgraded hard drive?), or just go with the standard version. DrDetroit
  4. Yea, I'm going to have to break down and buy one also. Never owned one since the Sega Genesis (I think that was the name back in '92 or so). Always been a PC gamer since the good old days. So, Hoss or anyone who knows; I have no idea what I should be looking at. You're saying to pickup a PS3 then instead of XboX360? Is there a particular PS3 I should be looking at (like Xbox has the 250gig upgrade...something like that, I guess...) or just a new PS3 with controllers and shit. Remember, price is no object, so lay it on me; the best console on the market for GTAV and RDR. EDIT: I googled this subject last night...and oh boy...more flame wars than anything. I'm just looking for a practical answer of which one is the one to buy for GTAV. Thanks for the advice in advance. DrDetroit
  5. Yup, you guys are correct. I too got the taxi bug after loading up LCPD and going on duty. So I used Traffic Load with it and worked pretty good. Although it's a little much for my current gaming rig, I'll use it when I pickup a new rig next week., drDetroit
  6. Thought you guys might be interested in this traffic fix I just found: This traffic mod fix at GTAinside.com, adds a ton of car/ped traffic without huge performance loss and best thing is there is no taxi bug, it's also does not require a ASI loader (pedcycle.dat file only). The modder also went as far as to set the traffic cycles per day/night patterns as well and type of car and ped in appropriate areas. Tried it, works well. Very diverse cars, and makes the traffic look/act real for both peds and cars. It does hit FPS a bit due to amount of traffic and I'm not certain the Traffic Density setting dos anything with this mod installed. Very cool traffic mod. EDIT: Forgot the link: http://www.gtainside.com/en/download.php?do=comments&cat=324&start=&id=52689 Good day, DrDetroit
  7. First pic is Malibu. Wonder which house is Charlie Harpers. DrDetroit
  8. That is disturbing. You gonna run around LC in that "slinglet" and a cop hat or something? What the hell is wrong with you Private Pile! DrDetroit
  9. Huh...Singlet??
  10. Not great for picking up chicks though...not ones that are alive anyhow. Although walking home from the bus after school, I'll assume you're not concerned with that stuff yet. DrDetroit
  11. There is no consumer laws violated here. What, you think GWFL will be online for 1000 years or something and if it's not they violated consumer laws? That's a little unrealistic and not based in any sort of reality. Not to mention that the billions of lines of copy that is all in legalese covers their asses as well as any possibly scenario you could contrive. By hitting the "accept" button or providing a check mark and hitting the start/OK button is your direct, implicit and specific acceptance of those terms. But yes, I too wish it was Outlook that went down the shitter...I absolutly hate my companies Outlook setup; always crashing, locking up, I can never find emails I'm looking for, ect. Absolutly horrid system/client. Anyhow, Good Day! DrDetroit
  12. That's pretty damn cool. Talk about never sleeping again. Give it about 10-years for a release, prices will come down and the price point will be manageable. DrDetroit
  13. A decent gaming rig costs a about $800 for bare minimum specs, retail costs. About $1500 will get you a very good rig, with very little tweaking/upgrading required. If you have the skills you can build a $1500 box for about half the retail cost, so for about $700-$800 you can build that killer rig. I'm too lazy so I spend the money for immediate gratification. DrDetroit
  14. Install LCPDFR first and get the hang of it. Then add other mods as you feel comfortable doing so. We'll help ya out if you have issues. You can download the keys chart at the download section of this site, towards the bottom. Check the stickies at the top of the LCPDFR support forum for detailed instructions on installing LCPDFR as well as trouble shooting issues. Most important; Enjoy this most excellent mod. DrDetroit
  15. There is a mod that will test random peds for drugs, it's a stand alone mod. There was a vid of it somewhere on these boards as well. Never used it, check the DL section. DrDetroit
  16. Other than Braveheart's Policing script, there are no other MVA scripts I know of. Although, drive around enough you'll see a ton of random accidents due to below average AI driving skills (car vs car, car vs ped). I see 'em all the time, especially when they shoot down the hilly roads in Northwood or Bohan, and take out cars and peds 'cause they can't stop or don't bother to stop. Enough to keep you busy if so inclined. DrDetroit
  17. That is one nice lookin' pack man.
  18. Everything is your main GTAIV folder? For example; I play EFLC (Steam version), so my ELS is in the main EFLC folder: C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty CityEFLC All three files should be in that main folder. The ELS.ini, the ELS.asi and the ELS folder. DrDetroit
  19. Make sure express mode is disabled when you try to access anything. DrDetroit
  20. Don't complain Banana...you got one. Harper didn't. DrDetroit
  21. Alt+M = ELS Menu J = toggles through the 3-light mods (1, 2 and 3, the third being all flashers on -Primary, Secondary and Traffic Advisor, if so equiped ). K = Acitvates the traffic advisor L = Secondary Flashers U = toggles through various Primary light patterns I = toggles through Traffic Advisor patterns O = toggles through Secondary patterns [ = Keeps primaries lit - no flashing pattern ] = Take Downs (Bright Whites) DrDetroit
  22. ELS isn't installed correctly. Just to confirm; you did go into the ELS.ini and activating the ELS for that car? Also, that same ELS.ini, ELS.asi and the ELS folder should be located in the games main directory. Mine is EFLC (Steam version), so those files are located in my C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty CityEFLC Something is not in it'r proper place. DrDetroit
  23. Happy B'Day dude. 21st huh...wow, mine was back in '91. I don't remember it at all...woke up on my buddies driveway at 5am feeling like death warmed over. HAve Fun! DrDetroit
