  1. Hey Pal..can't you read; I said the US is a Constitutionally Limited Republic, not a Federal Republic, which is a generic term, as you can read in your wiki link. Let me help you: "A constitutionally limited government is a system of government that is bound to certain principles of action by a state constitution. This system of government is dialectically opposed to pragmatism, on the basis that no state action can be made that conflicts with its constitution, regardless of the action's possible consequences. An example of a constitutionally limited government is the United States of America, which is a constitutionally limited republic.[1]" **http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitutionally_limited_government There you go...should clarify things a bit. Thanks DrDetroit That guy is full of crap; yea he's fine with it, until it happens. Just another glib idiot whom has no argument except out of stupidity and ignorance.
  2. Mine runs at about 110-125-degrees Fahrenheit when gaming and my vidcard runs a little hotter, but within 5-10 degrees of th CPU...and that's with six fans running between 2900-3800rpm (variable speeds depending on how hot). Not 100% sure, but I think that's about as hot as you want it to get...mine kicks out some heat when gaming. At idle (or surfing only) it's about 95-100 degrees. DrDetroit
  3. Nope, the USA is a Constitutionally Limited Republic...not Federal Republic...very very different. We have a Constitution that limits what the gov't can do period. The US Constitution does not limit individual rights but it places severe restrictions on what the gov't can do and how they are to do it. Although the statists here try to muddy up what it's intent it, it's very clear it's set out to protect our liberties against tyrannical gov't...hence the 1st and 2nd Amendments in particular. EDIT: Doesn't mean the gov't can't co-opt our rights here in the US, as most liberals here are trying to do, both Republicans and Democrats...very little difference between the two. One is flat out socialist/Stalinist and the other is socialist light...not much of a choice.
  4. Yes, works just fine. You have police3 and police4, as well as policeb to mod and drive/ride. EFLC seems a bit more stable than GTAIV when modded up on my rigs, better fps as well. I use GTAIV as my 'test' platform for mods, and EFLC is my 'tested game play' platform, once I flesh out the mods that work without issue and the one's that don't. Good luck! DrDetroit
  5. Yea, right...I'm sure you would fella...I'm sure you would...don't forget the coffee.
  6. For those who say "if your not hiding anything, you have nothing to worry about"...I say to them; then you would have no issue with the NSA/FBI knocking at your door anytime, day or night, walking into your home and looking around then...you know, looking in your underwear draws, your closets, the fridge, and looking through your finances and medical records, take a swab of your DNA while their at it...I mean, you have nothing to hide right? "It's cooool brah...come on in... duuude, I got nothin' to hide...". Foolish and glib I'd say...we here in the US have a Constitutional right and 100% expectation of privacy here in the US. I know everywhere else in the world it's acceptable to have big brother breathing down your neck, expatriating your income, you can't go to the store without being watched the whole way...looking and examining everything you do...but not here in my country. That's not an expectation US citizens have at all. When it comes down to it, that's why our founding fathers secured our right to bear arms...it's not #2 in the Bill of Rights by accident either. That's the way I see it...and the way it is. DrDetroit
  7. Must have missed that in the config...thanks for the heads up. Good day! DrDetroit
  8. So I was chasing a perp late last night and while crossing a street I accidentally hit a odd key combo, and all of a sudden I was looking at a vehicle registration information of a car in front of me (make, model, registration/license tab status, and a few more details about the car popped up in a seperate window). I thought 'wow!...never seen this before - that's kinda useful!', but now can't locate that action or key bindings in any of the configs...it's not listed anywhere. Is this a work in progress I stumbled on or am I just figuring out this is a released feature (even though there is no key binding listed anywhere). If anybody knows what this key binding is, as I haven't been able to reproduce that registration lookup action, would be appreciated Also, notice I can call an ambulance with RCntl+R, even though not any key binding I've ever assigned, and that key combo is not in any of my config files at all. Thought this was strange too. Any ideas, let us know. DrDetroit
  9. Not sure if it works with earlier versions, I would think it would. I have my games updated via Steam. Try searching GTA4-mods.com for different versions. You have the scripthook and asi loader installed, if you run LCPDFR you should have these already. Good luck!
  10. Are you using the command line in Steam (Launch Option located under properties) or a commanline.txt file in the GTAIV main directory/folder? That may make a difference. I use to use a commandline.txt in my game folder with great success...since I use the LaunchEFLC.exe (or GTAIV), not the Steam game shortcut.
  11. GTAV has taxi mission, as you may or may not be aware...so in a few weeks your request will be fulfilled. The GTAV taxi missions are fairly boring, but to each his own. To spice things up I'd pick up folks in the taxi, and drive them to those weirdo's over by Mt. Chillad...you know, the cannibal freaks whom hold-up in that old fort. They pay a pretty penny for new victims. DrDetroit
  12. I go as long as 2-3 hours without crashing...although I usually don't play that long, usually I play about 1-1.5 hours without issue. My game is heavily modded with CryENB, HD textures, various cop ped mods, police-police4 modded cars with ELS v8...all graphics maxed out, visual distance and vehicle density maxed also using Traffic Load. I use both GTAIV and EFLC, although seems EFLC is more stable with LCPDFR. DrDetroit
  13. Here ya go: http://www.gta4-mods.com/script/first-person-mod-v11-f2635 I use this one, it's a good mod. There are a few version at gta4-mods.com DrDetroit
  14. Update runs very well, excellent job as usual. Most stable version I've had yet, as I've not yet crashed once at this point. Remarkable work fella's!! Just out of curiosity; why don't the dev's just borrower the ambulance code from Abraxas PH so the ambulance doesn't hit everything in site, usually killing people in the process and then leaves without taking any bodies...kinda sucks! The ambulance in PH Helper works beautifully; they pull up fine without the usual destruction and mayhem and they actually stop in the street (not sidewalk) without killing anybody, the tech jumps out, treats the victim...usually takes the victim to the ambulance and leaves for the hospital. Just a thought...thanks again guys! DrDetroit
  15. Me too...DCS A-10 Warthog is dope! Might get into a campaign later tonight, now that my proficiency with the AGMs and CBU's has increased. Been flying F4-BMS too...can't get enough of the virtual sky's....or my obsession with GTAIV-LCPDFR. Happy New Years everybody. Stay safe and don't drink and drive! DrDetroit
  16. Nice facelift for LC roads...looks very nice.
  17. I don't generally like the Impala, but this one is really nice - got my DL for sure.
  18. Yup, just bought it (actually DCS World is free on Steam now) and the A-10 Warthog DLC...very cool, but my fav is Falcon4 BMS. Been flying that since '98. DrDetroit
  19. Just got mine a week ago and it's worth every penny spent ($700 on box after $150 discount, $175 on 25xi IPS monitor- on sale- $1050 for everything including Rosewill headset and Arion 75W speakers and sub); even the $130 overnight shipping was money well spent on my rig. Going to upgrade the 1TB HD by adding a SSD to the mix, and my vid card is a 2gig GeForce 760 - a decent card and runs everything at max settings. GTAIV/EFLC/LCPFR are like new games with max settings, ENB installed and HD textures. ARMA-3 is really nice too...some points it's photo realistic. I'm now ready for GTAV. Good luck! DrDetroit
  20. Ask NUTT, he does some really nice MSP cars. Good day! DrDetroit
  21. I just bought a AMD FX 8core (3.5GB), GeForce 760 2gb, 8gb RAM, 24' Pavilion 25XI LED IPS monitor, 70W Arion speakers and sub, all for just under $950 at Newegg. Aside from building your own PC, hard to beat that pricing. Computer is really fast and able to run all games on max settings without lag issues (GTAIV, GTAEFLC, LCPDFR, ARMAIII, Skyrim)...a lot of power for the money. Good luck! DrDetroit
  22. VDH works fine with 1.0c, been using it since released. Those files go in the script folder, not the lcpdfr add-on fodler. DrDetroit
  23. EFLC is worth the purchase...you get more peds, more cars, more police cars, better optimized (better FPS), etc. If you can afford the $5-$9, get it...don't jack up GTAIV with that policeb slot. I moved to modding GTAIV instead since adding CryENB and HD textures, EFLC was just crashing more than it use to (which was almost never). Without the ENB (just a nice TimeCycle) EFLC runs fine, but I purchased a new gaming rig last week, so I want to make use of ENBs and HD textures, which is without issue modding GTAIV. Good luck! DrDetroit
