Police bike pullover?
Yes, I have both EFLC and GTAIV - you can use the police bike to pull over cars, there is a police bike in EFLC by default...not so with GTAIV. I used EFLC for my LCPDFR modding until last week, when I switched over to GTAIV as it's more stable (but requires more computer HP to run smooth). EFLC has a police bike slot (policeb.wtd and wft), more cop car slot in general (there is police3 and police4 slots), more civi cars and peds. Been modding EFLC for years now...it's a bit of a different game environment with more peds and cars in-game.

Police bike pullover?
Unless you're using EFLC, I don't think the bike pullover action is available. You could try putting the bike in a police/noose/FIB slot, change the vehicle.ide and handling lines to that of the police bike...that would probably work...but I don't think putting the bike in a regular bike slot would allow the LCPDFR functions to work. I used EFLC exclusively for LCPDFR but recently switched to GTAIV, as it's more stable with mods for some reason. The police bike does work just fine with EFLC, it's slot is policeb.wft and policeb.wtd. EDIT: Also, I don't think you can change key bindings for LCPDFR, I've tried in the past and it never recognizes my key bindings. Good luck! DrDetroit

Gaming PC: Under 2000 Canadian dollars (help)
Just bought a gaming rig and monitor from Newegg. I paid about $600 for a iBuypower AMD FX-8320 8core (3.5 gb), 2gb GeForce750, 400w Power Supply, 8-USB ports, 8Gig Ram, 1TB SATAII HD; and this thing is fast. Decent price. Paid another $250 for a HP 25" IPS LCD, 1950 (?)x1080. Excellent monitor with great reviews. With a nice set of Rosewill headphones (they rumble) and 7.1 5-pc speaker (don't recall the brand - it's being shipped separately), extended warranties, overnight delivery, I paid $1050. I have ARMA3 maxed out and getting 40-50FPS and just installed LCPDFR with CryENB, ELS8, HD textures, maxed out graphics (density at 51, distance views at 60ish) and running in the 40ish range as well. Nice thing about Newegg, I paid for 1-day delivery at 9am Thursday and everything (minus the speakers) arrived Friday at 3pm. Merry Christmas to ME! Good day! DrDetroit

I am getting a computer but should it have Windows 7 or 8
Just picked up a new gaming rig today with Win8 and so far I really like the new interface, which you can also switch to the familiar Desktop. Not certain yet, although I'm sure Win8 runs all new games without issue. Haven't jumped into anything yet as I'm still downloading GTAIV and EFLC, although I'm almost done DLing ARMA3, which I'm really excited to try out on my (also new and very slim) 25" LCD backlit HP monitor. Windows 8 seems fast and efficient far as I can tell, and browsing websites and emails using the weird Win8 Interface (is it called the Start Page or something) is really nice, as I can bounce between pages quickly with the visual menu. Like a previous posted stated, you could be looking at a vacation destination, and while still on the vacation webpage with one click you're back to the main start page looking at the weather or calendar, etc., saves time and clicks. Still getting use to the various menus and whatnot though as I've been messing with it for only a few hours. Going to have to get use to it anyhow, so may as well jump into it now. Windows 7 is getting old. Good luck! DrDetroit

The Wasteland - callouts for Bohan
Try adding a commandline.txt file to the games main directory. I tweaked it for my system in particular. In it put the following; -availablevidmem 2 -noprecache -novblank -norestrictions -nomemrestrict It works for my system, but I have a 4gigs available of virtual memory for my vid card, which this command lines forces. Good luck DrDetroit

How to determine LCPDFR version?
I just went ahead and installed 1.0C. The ini only says 1.0..even after installing 1.0c. Thanks

How to determine LCPDFR version?
Is there a way to determine what version I'm running (of LCPDFR of course) without starting the game? Can't remember if I had installed 1.0c or if I have 1.0b. Also, are there any major updates to 1.0c, from 1.0b? Is 1.0c mostly just bug cleaning? My current version is running without crashing or any issues, so if no major updates to 1.0c then I'll just keep 1.0b installed (assuming I'm running 1.0b). Thanks guys! DrDetroit

New emergency sirens and interiors
I'm looking forward to the 1st person view for sure. Will wait for the PC release though, as I've had my fill with GTAV/O with my PS3. Looking forward to all the mods that will take GTAV father and LCPDFR/LSPDFR mod will be the cherry on top! Thanks for posting, looks great! DrDetroit

different traffic flows?
Go into the TrafficLoad.ini file, the first lines should look like; CustomDensity=1 //0 is false 1 is true PedDensityMultiplier=200 //100 is default, 50 is half, 200 is double, etc. Value has no effect when CustomDensity is 0 CarDensityMultiplier=150 //100 is default, 50 is half, 200 is double, etc. Value has no effect when CustomDensity is 0 CarsPerCycle=16 That's my ini. Make sure to set "custom density=1" or the script will not recognize the multipliers you set. Everything else is fairly self-explanatory (PedDensityMultiplier=200 - means you have 200% of normal ped density).
-
different traffic flows?
You're probably referring to Traffic Flow, which only spawns 20-30 cars, can bug out textures, and just isn't the same quality as Traffic Load. Traffic Load loads all 90+ cars, randomly...you don't have to add any vehicles for it to do that. Also, pump up the PedDenistyMultiplier to 200-250 and see what real NYC streets look like. Very nice mod for taxi bug and random traffic...it's the best one out there, and I've tried all the public releases. DrDetroit

new with traffic load help?
Again, put the file into the main GTA folder...that's it. NOT in your plugin folder..it's not a plugin. You don't add any cars in the INI, just adjust the ped and traffic density from there. Start at 100 and go up/down from there, to your liking...and systems liking. Good luck! DrDetroit
-
different traffic flows?
Just drop the file into your main GTA directory: Mine is C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonGrand Theft Auto IV Episodes from Liberty CityEFLC Then go into the .ini and start dialing in the settings. I'd keep the settings for cars and peds at 100, and move the ped and traffic density up or down from there.
-
different traffic flows?
Not Traffic Flow...Traffic Load: http://www.gta4-mods.com/script/trafficload-f9780 EDIT: Hastings found/posted the right one...just noticed. Good luck! DrDetroit
-
different traffic flows?
Use Traffic Load. The best functioning of them all imo; uses all 90+ cars and is adjustable and will not bug out your graphics. You can even adjust the amount of peds with it. Check the download page, I think under mods/scripts. Good day! DrDetroit

why do youtubers not crash in lcpdfr ?
Vary rarely do I crash without being able to complete a full 12-hours in game (which is about 1hr 24min after altering the in-game time/rate)...after this rough time-frame I start loosing scripts, as they start crashing. Sometimes the game never crashes...I actually go to the station and go "off duty" as Luise. You have to tweak the game to run on your system by not using too many high-poly ELS cars, only using modded cars and ELS is certain slots, as well as other ways to setup the game so it runs optimal on your system. Also, certain scripts just aren't compatible with my rig, and will crash my game sooner; i.e Bravehearts cam/radar, and the new version of ELS, as well as a few other mods that seem to work fine on others machines. Anyhow, just try and setup the game mods and scripts to the "liking" of your rig. Meaning; add one script or mod at a time, then run the game for a while to make sure it doesn't cause crashing - at least crashing earlier than usual. Good luck and good day! DrDetroit

9 year old shoots instructor, killing him while firing automatic Uzi
Nothing inherently wrong with a 9-yr old shooting a firearm if supervised properly and instructed properly and safely...even full auto Uzi. The instructor mishandled his responsibility unfortunately, and didn't take simple safety precautions. Not the parents fault...not sure why it would be their fault, per previous posts. It's not illegal nor particularly dangerous if handled properly...not unless you disregard simple safety precautions. He should have (obviously) been on bent knee (head level with the child's), wrapping his right arm around the child and that hand on the pistol grip (on top of the kid trigger hand), and his left hand on the firearms fore-grip, again on top of the child's, to assist with weapon control in the event it kicks up and to the left in full auto...which it did. I'm confounded as to why the instructor would stand over and to the left of the shooter! That's the danger zone!! I've had two full auto Uzi's in my life, and they are notorious for pulling up and to the left when in full auto mode. Anybody who has shot one knows this. An adult can handle a 9mm full auto with ease, but a child can't and isn't ready for the recoil. He should have known that. He stood right in the "danger zone" and paid the price. I feel bad for everybody involved. Was just a tragic accident that could have been avoided. Prayers to everybody involved in this tragedy. That's my $0.02 worth. DrDetroit

Should I avoid buying GTA IV on Steam because of GFWL?
Love the Steam version. If you pork your install to the point where backups don't help, Steam can 'fix' the integrity of the game and will replace files that are missing or damaged, and bang...back in business. I didn't even have to reinstall LCPDFR...worked fine, but all other car mods, ped mods, ect were reset. Also, you can remove the paul.dll file (I think that's what it's called) and you'll never see the GFWL login screen ever. Good luck! DrDetroit
