  1. Very well done, no issues with my heavily modded EFLC.
  2. Will the Detroit Lions EVER win a Superbowl? If yes, then what year so I can place my bets. Oh and I need Friday's PowerBall numbers plz. Thanks! Good day, DrDetroit
  3. I don't know how Abraxas did it, but the ambulance in PH is the best one yet. They drive normal and don't kill everything in site. Pickup the patient and leave without so much as knocking down a light-pole.
  4. 3DSmax is a very good, and powerful program, but very complicated. I model fromm scratch with that program daily and still learning things. Follow some youtube tutorials, that may help. Optimizing is time consuming for sure, although not that complicated to do. You need to know how to play with Editable Polygons and have to know how to convert a model into an editable poly as well (very easy to do). The tutorials I have seen assume you know the basics, like view ports configurations and image configs, standard primitives, modifiers, materials and mapping, but you can probably find one that teaches the basics of the program. Anyhow, good luck! I may be able to help if my schedule lightens up. Good day, DrDetroit
  5. Yea, that'd be nice. What I do is if the cop car is occupied, I just spawn a barrier via PH while standing in front of the car, the car will disappear. Also, you can request them towed off if unoccupied. Good day, DrDetroit
  6. I see -same style...but scale it larger. Now that might make sense in theory, but probably not practical cost factor wise.
  7. Happy Birthday Ineseri!! Don't drink too much tonight!
  8. It's an iconic landmark and world renown! Who'd be dumb enough to destroy a building like that? They don't make them like that anymore. Now it's all this post modernistic art deco crap imho. Good day! DrDetroit
  9. Wonder what happened to Abraxas, I know he lost his job, but must have found one by now. Anyhow, he did some good works. Good day! DrDetroit
  10. All the Law and Order stuff is really well done with very good acting and sets. Most, if not all the stories are loosely based on real life events that were fairly current events at the time the production started on the particular episode. It pulls you in really quick if you're not careful! Before you know it you're on the 7th episode when one of those marathons hit. Good day, DrDetroit
  11. You can remove the dirt in the vehicle.ide. One of the last inputs is for dirt...change from 1 to 0. EX: police, police, car, POLICE, TAXI, VEH@STD, VEH@STD_RI1, 100, 999, 0.2345, 0.2345, 0.2, 2, 1.0 ,0, ext_requi+ext_strong_+livery The one I have in bold and underlined is the proper input. Good luck, DrDetroit
  12. I'm looking for a new cooling system as well. Are the liquid cooling systems any good? I have about 7-fans now, but my CPU runs at 110+ degrees (F), MB at 100-degrees and GPU hits 120-degrees (F) when gaming. I'd like to keep things under 100-degrees if possible. Is liquid cooling the way to go or just stick better fans...like the one with the vent tubes that plug into the GPU and MoBo (didn't get the name, saw it at MicroCenter when waiting for some RAM)? Thanks, DrDetroit
  13. How do these protesters sit around for 7-months straight without working? This smells of a George Soros rent a mob once again. Utterly unbelievable! Good day, DrDetroit
  14. There are millions of civi car mods at GTA4-mods.com. Peeps are still releasing some very special, hi-poly, daily drivers and super cars over there. Good luck with the plethora of choices...will make your head spin. Enjoy! DrDetroit
  15. I bought my HOTAS for just under $500 with overnight shipping, my whole rig and all ancillaries was about $2100...including overnight delivery for all items...which was costly but I couldn't wait a week for regular delivery. I'm a banker with 90% commission income, musician and studying engineering as well...and had one hell of a 4th quarter closing deals. Hitting 6-figures,income wise, allows me to indulge in many activities and hobbies without worry or stress about money...although many of my buddies are hitting the 7-figure income range - an old friend just bought his dream car - Lambo Murcielago, so a nice gaming rig isn't too out of hand. It's a very tough business, competitive and stressful as hell, so much so that I sometimes see men and women crying before quitting or getting fired...but banking does have its incentives. Anyhow, military A/C and firearms are a passion of mine and mid to hi-fidelity flight sims like DCS and F4-BMS are as close to flying one I'll ever get...so I want to do it right.
  16. If your into hi-fi flight sims and like to fly combat alot, which seems you are, I'd say unequivocally yes! Worth every single penny. The stick is sooo smooth and precise, like butter. It's made of a metal alloy, which is very nice. Makes the whole experience very immersive and I almost never need to take my hand off the stick and throttle, as 99% of the necessary switches are on the throttle, stick and throttle base. The thing is heavy as hell too...that with the very wide and thin stick base helps keep it planted. It's costly, I paid $490 from Amazon with overnight shipping...but I would have kicked myself if I purchased the Saitek X-65 Rhino, even at half the price.
  17. Yup, DCS A10C Warthog is awesome and technical. Very satisfying to roll in on a SAM site, take it out, and live to fly home without using the fire extinguisher or 0/0 ejection seat. Definitely a study simulator, just like my fav of all time the Falcon4 series (F16C), which I'm currently running BMS-4.32U7. Back in December I upgraded my rig just for these two sims; bought a new gaming rig, 27" IPS monitor, TM Warhog HOTAS, TrackIR5 and clip, RedRose headset/mic, and Saitek Pro Combat pedals....been loving the DCS A10C and BMS F16 even more ever since. Still have my old X-45, which works and is probably 15-years old now. Good stuff...especially the dynamic campaign in the F4 series. Good day! DrDetroit
  18. F-16C Block-50 has my #1 vote. My 2nd fav would be A-10C...which although not a fighter AC, it's one hell of an CAS A/C for sure with the meanest gun ever made, which the pilot sits on top of. F/A-18C model is a very close 3rd (don't like the E model...slow, big and primarily a ground attack AC). Runners up would be the F4-E Phantom, and SU-27. Good day! DrDetroit
  19. Dude, if you bothered to read two posts above yours, you'd notice that the mod has been taken down. Good day, DrDetroit
  20. Doesn't cause too many crashes if you know how to mitigate the mods that may cause issue in the first place (like ELS). If you run a vanilla LCPDFR install (zero mods), you'll probably never crash. Add ELS and car mods, you'll start crashing most likely. In any event, the crashing doesn't make the game unplayable at all, as long as you're not crashing every few minutes. If you want all the goodies and eye candy, this is what you deal with. The LCPDFR mod is the best ever made for GTAIV IMO, and if you don't mod it, it will be fairly stable and crash free, for the most part. If it crashes, just restart it and you're back in and takin' down perps in a few minutes time...or the auto save will just spawn you as a cop with your cruiser, as it was prior to the crash...not a big problem. Besides, seems to me after the first crash, my game will go for 2-hours+ without issue...not sure why, but more stable after the initial crash most times.
  21. Not without issue they don't. You just don't see the crashes on youtube because they cut that part out of the vids. I have a decent fast computer, Nvidia GTX 750 2gb, AMD FX eight core 3.8gb, 16gb RAM etc etc; I can run all my cars hi-poly with everything running ELS, but I start crashing after anywhere between 15-minutes and 45-minutes. My game doesn't crash to desktop usually, but all the scripts stop working, including LCPDFR. I have my EFLC version with many of the police cars ELS and hi-poly bx-buggs (not police or police2 though - hi-poly but non-els in those slots), and all ancillary scripts like Police Helper, VPCallouts, Callouts+ etc etc...it runs anywhere from 35min-2hours without issue. My GTAIV version is base LCPDR and only mid-low poly DFS cars and no ELS, most scripts, and that game runs indefinitely. I run CryENB (hi-end version) on both games. So there is no computer not prone to crashing when running any mods with GTAIV...which is a sub-par port at best.
  22. One thing you can do to help minimize ELS crashing the game; only use it in the car slots that don't spawn often, like Noose, FBI, police3 and police4 (EFLC). Keep police and police2 slots a ELS free zone, and should help mitigate your crashing issues. Same goes for the car itself. I use low poly non-ELS models in the police and police2 and good hi-poly models (that I know don't cause game issues) for my ELS slots. I've made my nstockade slot another car slot as well, by changing the handling line and such to a CVPI/Charger/FPIU handling setup. Good way to make room for more cars. Anyhow, good luck! DrDetroit
  23. By far the best FPIU out there IMHO.
  24. Yea, a ped for your first model is going to be one huge challenge for sure...if not almost impossible. If you can't make a chair, or basic car/aircraft model, by extruding simple blocks and cylinders (which you have to turn into an "editable poly" in order to modify the primitive), you'll never be able to do a ped model, which requires you to know how to use the line feature to draw the basic splines needed for a head (and body). Good luck though, it's one tall task, even for someone who knows 3DSM (*like me). DrDetroit
