  1. All of them. Including the months before these months, it would be that good.
  2. Yeah. I was so hyped for such a long time that I was almost like a drooling dog... "must have ELS V! Nothing else matters! Gimme gimme gimme!" thus causing constant disappoint when it continued to not appear. So now I've tried to calm myself, not worry about it so much. Sure, I won't play GTA V until ELS V is out, no matter what, but it's not consuming my life any more.
  3. Try to keep your excitement on a... low simmer, I guess I would say. Lt.Caine asked us to wait just a "little longer", that was in... August I believe? Correct me if I'm wrong. Perhaps we'll get ELS by the end of the year, or maybe sooner, but try not to get too hyped. It happened to me, and I'm burned out waiting. Just trudging along, checking this thread almost every day, except for my "break", always hoping but still waiting.
  4. We can only assume controls right now. In ELS IV, J switches on your lights (stage 1), another press toggles stage 2, then another press toggles stage 3, and finally another press switches them off. Holding shift reverses it, so if you press shift + J while the lights are off, it'll go to stage 3. G was the button to switch on the siren, although it would only work with the lights on (pressing and holding while they were off would sound the airhorn). Since I can't remember all of them, here's the PDF with the full controls. DEFAULT CONTROLS (ELS-IV).pdf
  5. Well, I'm back from my, uh... "break". Yeah... let's call it that. I was hoping that ELS would be released by the time I got back. No ELS V for the wicked, I suppose.
  6. I haven't exactly been patient... do I still get thanked? :P
  7. Yeah. I am so goddamn impatient for ELS V anyway. At this point, I would probably pay Lt.Caine at least £50 just to have the development version. Not that I have £50 to spend on anything... Maybe I could rob a bank... WHAT IS THE WAIT FOR ELS V DOING TO ME?!
  8. Sounds interesting, do you know if there are full clips for either of those things on YouTube?
  9. I'm pretty sure that earlier in this thread (or maybe a comment by GravelRoadCop on one of the ELS demonstration videos) it was explained that because ELS takes control of drivers ahead of you, as long as you attract their attention any vehicle will pull over, because the driver is being controlled by ELS to not ignore your siren if you're noticeable enough.
  10. I'm not good at debating, so I'm just going to contribute one thing to this... As someone who lives in the UK (I've fired a gun, but only at a range, it was a bolt-action rifle) I think America is insane about not implementing any sorts of control... I don't see why people don't think that restricting the purchase of guns is going to solve the problem of people who shouldn't have guns... having guns.
  11. Unfortunately scripted though, it would be much funnier if those were real incidents. Then again, something like those things has probably happened before and it just wasn't caught on tape.
  12. Yeah, this is already a feature, you can activate all siren tones manually with button presses, I'm guessing it'll work like ELS IV and one of the ways to do it will be with 1, 2, 3 and 4 at the top of the keyboard.
  13. A few new videos. Still no release date. Check GravelRoadCop and Prophet's YouTube channels for videos.
  14. I think I am legitimately starting to be in actual agony from waiting for ELS V. If a gif were to describe my torment, it would be the "Still waiting for ELS V" picture seen earlier in this thread, shaking about violently like that trend of [X Intensifies] gifs a while back. So of course the proper text to put on it would be [Waiting for ELS V Intensifies].
  15. No, he means that if you don't have ELS enabled vehicles installed in all the police car slots, some will have the default lighting.
  16. I trust adverts so little that the only place I've whitelisted is YouTube, and that's probably a bad idea too. I haven't ever had issues with those sorts of things on this site when I had my adblocker disabled but it definitely had some unsafe looking ones. I wish that you had some way of controlling exactly the kind of adverts you wanted on the site so they could be both relevant and safe.
  17. 70. I don't even remember posting on the first page, but apparently I did.
  18. I have the feeling that at the point ELS V releases it'll be at an almost complete state with little bugs and most of the features already implemented, but that's just a guess.
  19. Some of the comments on the video think that they might have been deaf or something, but that still doesn't explain why they remained still for so long. Perhaps they panicked and stalled? But surely it wouldn't take them that long to get their car started again, unless they had some sort of anxiety disorder and were fumbling with the keys and clutch at the time. But you'd think if they had issues they wouldn't have passed a driving test, I don't really know.
  20. Apparently they can in some areas in the United States but in many other countries the driver of the emergency vehicle would have to pay insurance or something. If they were to allow emergency vehicles like fire trucks and ambulances to "ram" other vehicles if the situation requires it, they'd probably want to fit some sort of pushbar on fire trucks and ambulances that wouldn't do any damage (other than scratches which are inevitable) to the vehicle being pushed.
  21. A shame that isn't illegal in Germany, They deserve some sort of fine for that.
  22. Here's an example from the same channel and the same intersection of one that went much more smoothly.
  23. In the ELS V thread GravelRoadCop confirmed that ELS will have a "traffic control system" that directly controls drivers ahead of you to properly move out of the way, as long as you're noticeable enough in siren terms, using all of the available tones to attract their attention. Apparently it works really well at intersections too.
  24. Well I mean, sure, but some people are perfectionists and want their public work to be as good as they can make it before they release it. While I desperately want ELS V and won't play GTA V again without it, I can understand why Lt.Caine would want to get it completely right before releasing it. As long as it doesn't take, like, another year or something.
