  2. I was thinking that after I posted it, yeah. Might not be a good idea. Maybe instead of forcing it if it detects you've never played LCPDFR, it just "strongly recommends" you play the tutorial first, with a button to play it and a button to skip?
  3. Maybe LSPDFR could detect whether or not you played LCPDFR (by means of using the forum login thing again), and depending on if you had or not, either force the tutorial or give you the option to play/skip it if you've already played LCPDFR. Then again, I suppose the mods only have similarities in names and development teams. There might be important new things to learn in LSPDFR, even for returning people.
  4. That is an amazing idea. They could even do something where the last part of the tutorial is actually about stopping a small heist similar to the one you play in the prologue, too. I.E, responding to the scene in your patrol vehicle, covering behind it and firing on the suspects before giving chase to their vehicle. Not sure how it would end, though.
  5. Are we gonna have handcuffed arrests or just the kind of arrest pictured? It would be odd to escort a suspect to a car without them being cuffed, but if that's the way you got it to work, it's still pretty good.
  6. This better not be a situation like last time where I wait hours and then have to sleep just as that news gets posted.
  7. I have returned from the dead to say... woo! LSPDFR! That is all.
  8. Thanks for your help, I've fixed it now.
  9. I used OpenIV to click "Edit" on fbi.wtd and deleted "pncl_sign_1". If you require, the mod is here: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  10. But the texture has the LCPD markings on it. I need to get rid of those without breaking the colour of the vehicle and its numberplate, and I have no idea how to do that.
  11. I installed ELS for the first time yesterday, and some default vehicles with ELS lightbars on them. Unfortunately, the creator of the vehicle models/textures mixed up some of the files, and the FIB vehicle was not unmarked. To fix this, I deleted one of the textures in fbi.wtd However, this has also deleted the numberplate texture, and the vehicle is now bright white when it should be dark grey. Is anyone able to help me fix this? Screenshots of the issue:
  12. GTA IV folders aren't read only, my graphic settings are fine and I don't know my specs. The real problem though is that I can't press any of the "F" keys.
  13. Please ignore, I got the installation wrong. Now I have another problem.
  14. OK, the LCPDFR sub forum appears to be closed, so I have to post this here. I installed LCPDFR yesterday. It worked mostly fine. I then installed PoliceHelper today, and now the game crashes after a few minutes with "program not responding". This only seems to happen when I press ALT + P I'm launching from LaunchGTAIV.exe, but not as administrator. I'm not sure if it's LCPDFR that's the problem, as I wasn't able to properly test it yesterday. EDIT: Launching as Administrator crashes the game immediatley. Another Edit: It seems my F keys are causing the game to crash for some reason.] ANOTHER Edit: THE GAME IS NOW CRASHING BEFORE I START LCPDFR. Edit Again: Event Viewer says: Faulting application gtaiv.exe, version 1.0.7.0, faulting module xlive.dll, version 3.5.92.0, fault address 0x0063f99f. I looked for xlive.dll in my GTA IV folder, but there is none! It also says "Faulting application gtaiv.exe, version 1.0.7.0, faulting module gtaiv.exe, version 1.0.7.0, fault address 0x001a9346." 15. Hi, The game comes up with the Rockstar login. I click play, and the Steam friends icon changes from green (in-game) to blue (online). The game doesn't launch. I installed all the mods as listed in the title, should I reboot my computer? Thanks.
  16. Thanks. I'm a bit confused though: If I don't have an ELS enabled car, it'll still work with ELS and I won't have the door bug? I'm not planning on using modded vehicles.
  17. Hello, I have a question: this mod: http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=196 is ELS, yes? If so, I have heard about a door bug, where the doors act wierdly sometimes when opening or closing. Is this correct? If so, does it only happen with modded vehicles? The mod looks useful, but I do not want unrealistic door opening. Thanks in advance.
