  2. Well, I certainly hope he did/does. He definitely deserves it. And to be honest, so do all of you members of the testing team.
  3. Well I mean, people donate to him right? That's not direct payment, but they're still giving him money because they like his work (if he does do donations).
  4. I haven't downloaded it, but I actually really like that design. Well done.
  5. There's never been a release date stated for ELS V from any official source, if you heard it from anyone other than people in the testing team or Lt.Caine himself they didn't know what they were talking about.
  6. Doesn't the fact it's been in development for over a year make it more likely it'll be released soon? The longer we wait, the more finished it must be getting. I really doubt Lt.Caine has been doing nothing this whole time.
  7. I don't see where they get that idea. As GravelRoadCop has already said in this thread, carcols is... 32bit limited? Not entirely sure what that means, but yeah. Not only that, ELS gives us: Traffic control (All traffic ahead of you will move over if you're noticeable enough, changing siren tones and blipping your horn etc) Multiple patterns Better looking lights Proper siren control (Sure, we have "Sirenmastery", but ELS' UI is better, and comes with all these other features anyway) Lighting stages Takedowns Traffic advisors Variable Message Boards, quite possibly That's a lot more than carcols can do. And I'm pretty sure I've missed stuff, anyway.
  8. I really hope that because you say "no more updates" that means we're getting close. The wait is nearly palpable.
  9. Sorry, but testers are hand-picked by Lt.Caine. The people who are testing the mod have a lot of experience with GTA modding and vehicle modelling, and that's because they'll be the most qualified to help test it. Trust me, we all want to "test it", haha. But we just have to be patient. I personally have some... issues which can make me very impatient while waiting for things. I have no idea how I've kept what little sanity I have for the last 15(!) months. Sure... my bedroom walls may be covered in notches where I marked every single day I've waited... with random scribblings of "ELS V"... in my own blood... b-but that's normal right? RIGHT?
  10. I know it's not the "done thing", but since the guy who made it doesn't have the files any more... could I unlock the model somehow?
  11. So I downloaded this pack: Unfortunately, there is an issue. The Noose, SUV, and CVPI models do not have collisions on their doors. I am not exactly someone who can use a model with a problem like that... so how can I fix it? If that's even possible? I downloaded zModeller2. I activated the free trial. But obviously, the model is locked. I posted a comment on it, and the creator of the pack said they don't have the files any more, so they can't help me (but that was for a different issue I believe). What can I do, if anything?
  12. But what if someone is so insane that they've even bought a siren, too? One with the same tones as the real police department use wherever they are? If they can buy emergency lights for their vehicle, they can buy a siren too, right?
  13. Alt P starts LCPDFR. Press Alt E to call in a pursuit.
  14. Are you asking for there to be a reskin of the ELS control panel so that it looks like that? Because I'd say that'll be something other people would make, not Lt.Caine. He has enough on his hands to just work on the mod itself with a default UI.
  15. Perhaps we are nearing release. Maybe that's why we haven't seen anything in a while. Just speculating, though.
  16. Well, ELS IV is great already. Hell, if we got the exact same features in ELS V at first, then new stuff later, I'd be fine with that. Because all I want is ELS in a game where buildings don't start doing a disappearing act when you start modding cars in.
  17. Don't you remember the videos with the highly upped reflections? And the siren tone controls? And the stages? And the control panel? We've seen a lot of ELS V so far.
  18. Oh, I see! That's absolutely fine then. Thank you for clarifying.
  19. Yard1's ELS pack (GTA IV) will be screwed because of this, there's the main files and then there are four patches, which uses the "old versions" system. So unless that gets updated I guess people will be downloading the original version with bugs.
  20. Dallas is a city? Didn't know that. Pretty sure it's the same programme, I just assumed it was a state name in the title. Also, what is the "July 7th massacre"?
  21. Do you know anyone who might be able to help me?
  22. I have an issue with the CVPI. I'm not sure if it's because I retextured it, or what, but when I get a certain distance away it becomes black and reflective, and the tyres disappear. Do you have any idea why this might be, or a fix for it, @Black Jesus?
  23. Oh, hello Sam! Scripted, you say? Hmm. That would explain why I had such issue with it. I haven't really thought to search around for it - after posting this topic today I decided to search it up on Wikipedia, to see which states are featured. Still not sure which one it was I watched with something regarding prostitutes. I'll Google and have a look for those articles. Thanks for the heads up.
