  1. I really like the responses from the forum on this topic, nobody has gone "omg you're so wrong hurr durr repent your sins" and the opposing views have also not gone "omg religion is stupid blah blah" good work guys :) I've picked a couple of points I read which I want to add my views to.. I agree to an extent with these divisions, marriage was and always has been a religious event under the eyes of that religions particular deity. However, as a none religious person I look more at the changes in politics, and the world in general. SOME religious people (I respect they do not represent the religion as a whole) argue gay marriage is completely wrong and against god's will. However if you look at some religious practises it was also wrong to get a divorce and re-marry in England until Henry VIII reformed the English church. But now we have solicitors who actively practise in matrimonial divorce regardless of the original belief. So why should gay marriage be so different? We change with the time. I love this comment, and a huge amount of respect to you. I've seen so many people try to force religion down your throat I lost all respect for anyone religious. I am actually sick of people saying "You are wrong, god is right, become a [religious belief here] and forever be right" Well how about no, religion was a belief, a faith people chose to follow because it gave them answers and comfort. If I don't get that same comfort why should I convert to a religion? It should be a choice. This is why I love your comment, you say "I disagree with it" rather than "It is wrong, fact". Down to my personal opinion on the matter, I am a firm believer of changing with time, we cannot spend forever following old beliefs or continuing along paths once followed, if we did the Earth would be 100% f****d already. We thought the motorised car was a fantastic thing, but suddenly now we see what the effects are we're pushing people to lift share, ride a bike or even walk. Why did we make that change? Because we saw it necessary. I am therefore, entirely for gay marriage. If you want to do something why should the world say otherwise? It is none of your business if I chose tomorrow to marry another man, that is my personal choice. (FTR I won't be marrying a man tomorrow as it is not my personal preference)
  2. Yes it will run GTA IV however your graphics card isn't the best in the world. You would be better off with a GTX series for gaming rather than a standard GT series, but your card will do. As mentioned in the comment above you will need to drop your settings down to achieve a reasonable frame rate, and you should be ok to run LCPDFR as well. However if you try to add car, ped or weapon models or even any ENB mods you will suffer drastically and get a large amount of texture errors and crashes. So to summarise Only run GTA IV and LCPDFR for the best stability and drop down your game settings until you get at least 40fps (30 is good as well but 40 is a good average)
  3. I would recommend you go to Can You Run It and have a look on there. Let me know what results you get for GTA IV and I will let you know what to do afterwards. :)

  5. Fair enough. For future reference, if I have added it to the suggestions part then it's official as a suggestion. I will likely make an attempt at it in coding, if I like it I'll clean it up and get it running nicely, if I don't like it or it doesn't work I will mention it on release. Not possible using the API I'm afraid. The best I can do is have the suspect point a gun at a ped, but then all the player needs to do is step a few feet sideways and shoot him.
  6. Ok try going through the few things I mentioned in my last reply. If none of that works I recommend reinstalling GTA IV and starting from scratch as something has clearly gone wrong.
  7. Ok, what about any other mods? Some things you could try: Run the "PreloadAllModels = true" line in the [main] part of the lcpdfr.ini file. Reinstall lcpdfr. Delete any other mods and try.
  8. What version of lcpdfr are you using, do you have all the up to date microsoft frameworks and are you running any other mods? Have you also tried running the game as administrator?
  9. Your error is caused by the first line, hence why it says "Error" in it ;) It's quite simple actually, something in the code returned null for a robbery callout, and the return value of that particular method is not allowed to be null, thus crash. Do you have any other mods installed? the second line you mentioned is a warning handled by the script, it basically means that it has tried to call the file "IN-01.wav" but failed to use it because it is possibly already in use. (This happens a lot when you get an external sound play and then called again while it's playing.) I would try reinstalling lcpdfr.
  10. What about reading the suggestions in the OP? Gang activity is already a thing in LCPDFR to my knowledge. And I've already written the domestic in the suggestions part. I went to the effort of writing that bit for you guys so you could see what other people had suggested, yes I went through every single person's comment :)
  11. The disregard usually happens when your PC failed to spawn in the object needed. Try adding "PreloadAllModels = true" to the [main] part of the lcpfr.ini If that doesn't work try decreasing your settings a bit. Hope this helps.
  12. Well I have 4 callouts mostly ready for release, I've began setting up a development area for a private testing team, I will be waiting to hear back from them before an official release comes out. Please note that just because I have a testing team on the case now, it does not mean the plugin will e released soon, I could find a whole heap of issues during testing and have to go back to it. I am personally selecting people to join the testing team, they don't have to accept the invitation, but the point is it is not up for application unless I fall short :P I do hope this isn't too much of a tease for you guys :)
  13. If it's worth doing, it's worth wasting a billion hours of your life doing it. <-- A rule to go by in life :)
  14. Yep, go into your documents and find the save files, just pull them out of that directory and store them elsewhere they should be kept safe then.
  15. That is just a warning it's not causing any crash, I get that warning pop up many times so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Definitely run a clean install and never ever ever skip a backup stage :P It makes life so much easier :) Hi Ineseri
  16. Hello and welcome to the forum :) Ok so I've spotted the likely cause of your issue, you used the vehicle mod manager. Don't use this, it's pretty unstable and doesn't allow you control of the files at all. Your best option is to delete GTA IV and all it's files in the root directory and reinstall the game clean, then make a backup of the clean install to save you time in the future. Once you have done that, reinstall LCPDFR and test to make sure it's working fine, and if it does you can reinstall your car mods one by one and see if it works again. Also the log file for lcpdfr is titled "LCPDFR.log" and is located in the root of the GTA IV directory, if it's there. Your AdvancedHook.log might also provide us with some extra information. Hope this helps :)
  17. The only ones I know of are the google engine powered ones (but sadly the last time I checked it a few weeks ago it wasn't functioning). You've probably already seen that. If I'm completely honest with you it would be better to spend a little time using the trainer to record the positions of the buildings in game, save each location to the trainer and they will all appear in the .ini file. Once you have done that simply grab a copy of the GTA IV map and dot the buildings. Good luck and I hope this is of some help :)
  18. Go into the LCPDFr.ini file and double check the following lines: [Callouts] MaximumSecondsBeforeNewCallout=300 //Maximum amount of time between 2 callouts MinimumSecondsBeforeNewCallout=60 // Minimum time between two callouts Enabled=True //Are callouts on? (busy/not-busy) Multiplier=250 //The frequency of the callouts within the times above If they seem ok and you still don't get callouts check the lcpdfr.log file for any crashes or warnings, if something says "failed to spawn ped" or "failed to create object" it's probably that. you could also try using the console command "startcallout [caloutname]", I'm not sure if this is an API feature or a dev command but I've found that if I type in an API callout I'm adding, and get the name of it wrong, it defaults to a random callout. If that works and you get callouts adjust your game settings a little bit as it may be a memory issue, or adjust the settings mentioned above.
  19. Yeah I do. I also find keeping a backup helps. Fortunately I'm a sucker for forgetting to empty the recycling bin :P consider my lesson learnt lol
  20. You are right, I did try to make it a polite request but reading it back now I can see it was more of an instruction that a polite request, I do sincerely apologies for that. Spending 2 hours travelling into university and back to spend an hour learning how to make a linkedin profile obviously wound me up. (And no I'm not joking, that was an hour and a half of my life I will never get back) Quick update for people, I nearly had a heart attack earlier because I went to load up my project and the code references were all missing, didn't occur to me the reinstall of LCPDFR changed the file path. I still have my code. In terms of callouts I have 4 working ones which are in a state to be released but could do with some enhancing of the features. There is 1 callout postponed until I can rethink it, and 1 which is working but not the way I would like so will be revisited. I will work on enhancing current features and bug fixing for the next week or so before adding new callouts. Once I have 5 working ones ready I will let out a controlled sample of the mod (in other words a hand picked testing team) to make sure it runs ok for others with different spec PC's and different gta iv set up's. Hopefully that isn't too much of a tease for you waiting :)
  21. Great, that's a good start. I'm assuming when you say automatic and some manual, you used the automatic installer for 1.0 and then applied the manual 1.0a hotfix? I would do a quick check to make sure your PC is powerful enough to play, go to Can You Run It and check to make sure your pc passes requirements. To run as administrator, right click on the GTAIV.exe and click "Run as Administrator". To upload an error logs click "Attach Files" when you reply, find your GTA IV directory (Rockstar Games/ Grand theft auto iv/ gta iv) and find the LCPDFR/log and AdvancedHook.log as those are the ones we need.
  22. Answer all of the following would be fantastic: What version of GTA do you have? Is it a legitimate copy? What install method for LCPDFR did you use, automatic or manual? Are you using any other mods? Can your pc actually play GTA IV with mods? Have you tried running as administrator? Can you upload any error logs in the GTA IV directory (LCPDFR.log and AdvancedHook.log)
  23. I really would like to help you, But I just can't help you without you giving us more information as to why your're having problems. Please come back when you have tried to troubleshoot your issue and give us more details, including error logs.
  24. It's in beta get used to it. Also EVERYONE go debate the VDH mods elsewhere please. This thread is for the discussion of the Callouts+ mod, if you want to add suggestions or your opinions great, but debating the compatibility of another mod when this one isn't even out yet is pointless. If you want to discuss compatibility of other mods or it's ability to not crash or whatever, take it to their threads please. Thank you.
