  1. Abraxas police HQ is a texture mod that works with LCPDFR to change the police station interior. PreloadAllModels will load vehicles and pedestrians and other models when a callout is accepted rather than when you get close enough. Force annihilator sets the police helicopter you get as backup to only be the annihilator (big one with guns) EDIT: This was my 300th post :)
  2. Hello :) What you need to do is put in your forum username and password into the automatic installer when it asks for them. This will then link it for you. If you're using the newest version you will need to use the diagnostics tool's configuration page to link your account.
  3. What officer vic said is correct. Missing or corrupt map files is only really fixed by reinstalling the game or if you happen to have a perfect backup of the map files, copy them back across. This is one of the main reasons why I never use map mods, because they cause so many more problems in the long run.
  4. Good choice! No worries, I'll keep thinking and maybe I will figure out something genius to fix your problem, but yeah gaming pc all the way. Good luck :)
  5. Man that is just....broken. It's all broken. Throw it out the window and buy a gaming pc. :)
  6. I like how you gave someone advice on a crash issue ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>) and then you get one yourself, that is just beautiful irony. Have you tried everything in your own advice? I'm just playing with you :) Can you provide some extra's for me please, things like what mods do you have installed, a screenshot of your game directory, have you actually been through the advice you gave to that other guy because there is a few useful tips in there.
  7. If the keyboard on the laptop doesn't work you've got a hardware fault and reinstalling drivers or the game probably wont help you all too much (but hey feel free to try it anyway for the satisfaction, I would) Using a plug in USB keyboard should fix the issue providing you install that keyboard's drivers too. Failing that you can buy replacement keyboards for laptops off eBay and fit them yourself, really not that difficult, most of the time they just pop out, literally.
  8. *applauds* *applauds again* *cries* That was beautiful. No seriously I completely agree with you. There is nothing further I can add to that, I mean you really genuinely hit the nail on the head there. Partial faith in humanity restored.
  9. Your entire GTA IV directory is compressed which "could" be why the automatic installed doesn't like it. I'm not entirely sure on that issue though as I've never seen anyone compress a game directory before. I would suggest decompressing the directory so they are normal again and running the automatic installer again to see if that works (this of course means removing the manual installation)
  10. Ok, have you tried verifying by using another keyboard or pc to make sure it is your keyboard drivers and not a file error? Try going into the ELS config file again and see if there is an option to set the menu panel on by default, or even remap the keys to different ones and test again.
  11. Try reinstalling ELS , remove all of its settings then reinstall it. Then go through the config file and check the keyboard shortcut for the info panel and test it.
  12. The manual way of getting the api key has not been available for a while. The only way currently is through the automatic installer. Can you post a screenshot of your gta directory for me please?
  13. Glad the initial problem has been fixed. If you have any further issues with the policing script let me know, but if you disable world events that should stop the errors.
  14. The only thing I can think of doing is to take the audio files from the lcpdfr folder and increase the gain on them in something like audacity. But that will risk distorting the quality. I'm sure the game classifies them as sfx so adjusting your volume wont help (sirens and radio chatter are both sfx I think) Hope this helps :)
  15. You are currently unable to obtain the api key if you use the manual install of lcpdfr as the feature is not ready. The only way to get your officer's name into the game is to sign in during the automatic install process.
  16. I meant your whole directory but as we have discovered the problem don't worry about it. Generally speaking I wouldn't run two big mods like that together, if they both have huge parts to them, use separate installs of GTA to play each one as and when you feel like it.
  17. Never used the business mod myself so can't really comment. But anything which is dependant on storing data short term will use more RAM and thus cause more problems. Glad you have fixed your issues though, enjoy :)
  18. What are your system specs? Can you post a screenshot of your GTA IV directory for me as well.
  19. Generally speaking, the more mods you use on GTA IV the more unstable it becomes anyway. It's probably better to run just a couple of mods, the less models the better too. Glad I could help you out, enjoy :)
  20. As unr3al has said it's likely the combination of vehicle models and map addons. Script mods don't generally produce graphical glitches like invisible trees unless they have a "setAllTreesInvisible = true" feature. (which they don't) Try removing either the map mod or the vehicle models and see if it fixes it. Also if you're using VDH_PoliceHelper, disable the world events because these have been known to cause a lot of issues lately.
  21. If you download the manual install package for LCPDFR you can find them in there.
  22. Well that is your choice, personally I wouldn't downgrade as I prefer to work with 1.0. You also don't have any API support for the older versions. 1.0 is a lot more resource intensive due to the huge number of changes and performance improvements with the script, just bare that in mind when modding. Hopefully you can get 1.0 working eventually though. Enjoy.
  23. In that case then I recommend you do a reinstall of GTA IV just to make sure you don't have any other mods you forgot about. When you have done that make a backup of the default files and then install LCPDFR with the hotfix and try it out again. That does mean removing all of your mods properly (completely remove them from the directory) but if we can get your GTA running with LCPDFR we can eliminate that as a problem.
  24. What I would recommend you do is uninstall all your mods and reinstall GTA IV again just to be entirely sure you don't have any issues conflicting. Once you have done that make a backup of these files for ease and try again. If that doesn't work let me know :)
  25. That usually fixes all issues :) Glad we could help. Enjoy!
