  1. Valid point, I didn't even think about the circumstance in which the 3 year old was in lol. I don't know very much about legislation in America, I just know that if this had of happened in the UK he would be locked up regardless and Scotland Yard would put out a massive apology for his actions. Although personally I don't think any police force should apologise for an ex cop's actions. Why? he retired, he is no longer a cop, he is a normal law abiding citizen like the rest of us and has no right or responsibility to take such actions into his own hands. Leave it to the actual police and management of the cinema. I feel very strongly about guns and the use of weapons, had you noticed? :)
  2. I don't ever remember that Hero, could you perhaps locate the source where you might have read this to double check for us please? I've gone through both the .ini file and the user documentation and didn't see any feature like that sadly. Let us know if you find anything :)
  3. That's crazy. Like, seriously messed up. You don't shoot a guy because he's texting you report him and have him thrown out. It's stuff like this that makes me stand very strongly against anyone being allowed guns, and why I'm glad in the UK only tactical armed units carry them. Not standard police. Man who's gonna tell the little girl? :/ Mind you why does a 3 year old have a phone? so many issues lol.
  4. You could look for cars that use Extra Moving Parts. I highly doubt one exists but maybe someone made a car with this mod that has a flashy light? Other than that I don't think any such mod exists anymore. Namely due to ELS taking over all lighting.
  5. Sorry, had to include that ^ Yeah like everyone else says, unless R* says so, it's not real. But just for those who say it's realistic let's go back a few steps and check some things out. 1) A person on youTube with 140 subscribers and 42 videos, would be allowed to release a video of the real thing? nope 2) If it was a PC version why did he not use fraps or similar to screen capture? 3) The mouse cursor movement is a controller. 4) You can hear the guy flicking the controller buttons to simulate mouse click. They sound very different. 5) How does he cycle through the menu's without moving the mouse? But yet you hear the exact same "mouse" noise? 6) You continue to hear that "mouse" noise while he decreases the detail distance on his menu, but yet his mouse isn't over one of the arrows so how is it doing anything? The settings menu is a good little addition to make you think it's pc. So is the mapping of the buttons to a keyboard. But it just screams fake so much it would be very difficult for an avid pc gamer to believe. :)
  6. None of those vehicles actually have access to the game's standard police computer so there is no control to be overridden for them. In other words if the car isn't hard coded by GTA IV to have a police computer the dev's can't set it to use the LCPDFR computer. Like ineseri says correct us if were wrong, but I'm pretty certain that is how the police computer works. And just an FYI ineseri, some of the police vehicles don't have a physical model of a police computer inside them, but still provide access to the coded one :) See here http://gta.wikia.com/Police_Computer
  7. Can you provide some more information please? Things like which mods do you have installed exactly, what patch of GTA are you using? Just as a guess I would say one of your mods makes you fly, such as a trainer for example. This would mean the key combination in the trainer is using F4 as well. So try disabling that. hope this helps.
  8. Glad you've got it all fixed, if you have any further problems please don't hesitate to post them on the forums :) the bent victim thingy is a bit weird, I've got it too. I giggled lots the first time it happened but ah well. If you push them over they ragdoll normally and look normal but then they ping back up into a weird deformed object again. Funny Anyway, happy gaming :)
  9. Loving the planned changes, no complaints from me either. I look forward to seeing a more organised downloads area too, good work guy :)
  10. Kevin, that is bumping. It will show up when the forum refreshes itself so you don't need to worry. I would highly recommend uninstalling the car mod you're using as this is the main issue you are getting a crash. to simply put it your game can't handle using that particular model, and is therefore failing. you'll always increase the risk of getting a crash if you install high poly models for cars, so we recommend using a lower poly count vehicle (smaller file size) to decrease the frequency of crashes. hope this helps.
  11. Sadly not, you'll have to install it manually into your second directory. the uninstall feature is very handy, but if you make a zipped archive of a CLEAN install of GTA IV then you will save a small amount of space and have a perfect copy of GTA IV ready in case modding goes wrong. It will also make it much easier for you to unistall mods because all you ave to do is delete it all and copy the clean GTA IV files back across. hope this helps.
  12. You didn't sound like a jerk or demanding. I just wanted to give you a friendly reminder, because I appreciate how annoying it can be to want something to work so badly and nobody helps you immediately. But I also appreciate the stress it can put a developer under. :) Let me know if doing any of thay works as and when you get chance. :)
  13. Are you using a legitimate copy of GTA IV, and did you use the manual install of LCPDFR or the automatic one?
  14. While in game and on duty press F7, your status for LCPDFR callouts will be set to "Busy" and you wont receive them. You will still get random events trigger and everything else will work, just no callouts.
  15. The crashes could be caused by your models yes, any time you remodel something in the game you increase the possibility of a crash. If I were you I would grit your teeth and make do with default for now. Once the devs know what is the main issue and have released a couple more hot fixed we should be golden. They're working hard on making lcpdfr for us, for no other benefit so patients is a virtue :) And you have no need to be anxious, even if nobody replies for a week, remember that a lot of people will have seen your post, especially the devs and testing team. Also try to remember that even the international tech companies of the world don't reply immediately, it took samsung over a week to reply to my email about a broken monitor ;) Always post your errors or problems, we'll see them, test them, and eventually get back to you. That's the wonderful thing about this community, we're always here :)
  16. It's something which has failed to spawn properly by the mod, I've had a similar crash a few times recently when the game is trying to create something. As far as I know, there isn't a lot you can do about it other than to avoid drug deals for the time being, you're lucky there. Mine crashed when I tried to drive past a roadblock that was spawning in on it's own (random event)
  17. Huh, I wonder if I did something else then. The screenshot I uploaded to the gallery showing me transporting 2 suspects was from a very similar scenario to yours, the difference being both were wanted for different reasons. This one Actually come to think of it, the passenger got out automatically when I arrested the driver, he got out and said "thanks for making me late officer" then I arrested him too :) I would try what ineseri says, aim at the passenger with a melee weapon for example, and press E see if that works :)
  18. If you ask the driver to step out the passenger will step out as well, they will both walk a little distance then stand still, you can then ask the driver to get back in his vehicle, and detain the passenger. :)
  19. You have to use LCPDFR for this. The feature is when you are driving a police car behind a suspect's vehicle you press shift to begin a traffic stop. The car will either flee, or most of the time pull over. You then park up behind them and walk into the yellow marker to begin the traffic stop.
  20. Did you have o.95RC2 installed before you installed 1.0? If so that is your problem, you need to fully uninstall 0.95 RC2 before installing 1.0.
  21. You've got it all sorted now then? Good to hear. I'm glad we were able to assist you in troubleshooting, enjoy :)
  22. Ahh ok, sorry I can't be much more help then, like I said my knowledge of SNT is limited now :) I'm sure someone else might have an answer for you, good luck :)
  23. You should see an option that spawns a ped, but not as a bodyguard. There is an option at the top above all the ped model names that says action: walking or something like that. If you cycle through those options you might be able to set one in a car. I haven't used SNT for a while because of keybind collisions, I could never be bothered to sort it out. So my knowledge of SNT is limited. You could spawn a driver and then I think there is an option to freeze peds so they don't drive off?
  24. I can't choose which is my favourite song, but the top ones are The Cult - Rain Foreigner - Dirty White Boy Actually, I think this one wins my vote http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZ5bS3_BCDs ROCK RADIO FTW! :D *whips hair back and forth* I do have to say though, for me, nothing will beat the entirety of V-Rock from Vice City. Best game radio station ever. San Andreas tried and got a close second with K-DST.
  25. I don't think you can use a siren on a civilian car slot, unless there is a line in the vehicle data that defines if it is an emergency car or not. I've checked through the model flags in the handling file, none of them say "IS_EMS" etc. As a result I can only conclude that this feature is hard coded into the game (I may be wrong though) Your best option then is to replace an EMS vehicle with your new fire truck and edit all the handling lines yourself. For example a guide I just read teaching you how to do so, replaced "police3" in GTA IV (which is a registered but unused slot, due to EFLC using it) with the new firetruck. Otherwise you will just have to pretend your admiral car you turned into a firetruck has a siren. I imagine someone sitting there making fire truck noises while playing GTA IV lol. Alternatively, you could change the horn for that car I guess? But then you will have all the admirals you replaced with fire trucks blaring sirens at silly times.
