  1. Depends on the vehicle you override with your new model. Your best bet if you intend to make a new police vehicle is search the internet for a list of vehicles with a police computer in GTA IV. Oh i'm so kind, I did it for you :) http://gta.wikia.com/Police_Computer
  2. Yeah, it fixes a lot of issues. Just don't forget to make a backup once you have a clean install cause that will save a heap of time. good luck, glad I could help :)
  3. Ok in that case it could be a lot of things. You'll hate me for this, what I recommend is doing a clean install of your GTA IV (that means uninstalling then removing all the remaining files) Once you have done that, reinstall GTA IV and then make a backup of the directory (saves you bothering with redownloading the game from steam every time). Then install LCPDFR alone and make sure it can run that ok, then repeat this process with each mod you add. Eventually you will either, get a "perfectly" working game or you will get a crash and know which mod caused it.
  4. Good to know, quote me again when you have tried that so I know the outcome please :)
  5. Right, that may have done it but no way to be sure. Try reverting back to the original files (I hope you made a backup) and seeing if the game still crashes or if it runs. If it still crashes it could be an issue with one of your script mods you have installed that is causing the issue. Have you saved the game recently while running lcpdfr or any other script?
  6. What mods do you have installed, is your GTA IV a legitimate copy and on the latest patch? Have you made any changes to your GTA IV directory at all, post a screenshot of it for me please?
  7. Have you tried looking at the link the error message has supplied? Can you post a screenshot of your gta iv directory as well please.
  8. Ok great, quote me when you have tried it and let me know if it has worked :)
  9. Can you screenshot your gta iv directory and upload it here please. I think I know what your problem is but I just need a screenshot to verify it.
  10. You might be missing the .NET Framework 4.5. Download it from here and try again: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653
  11. Try here http://gta.wikia.com/Union_Drive_West No images but gives a nice description for you to work it out.
  12. Your error is here GTA.NonExistingObjectException: Invalid call to an object that doesn't exist anymore! Try going into the main area of the configuration file and changing PreloadAllModels from False to True.
  13. Yeah make sure everything inside the LCPD First Response folder is outside of that folder (so it is all inside your main GTAIV folder) Glad I could help you out :)
  14. Once you have installed the dash cam (V2) you need to find the file from the readme titled the same as the file in the 2.2.1 patch .zip file. When you have found it, replace it with the 2.2.1 patch file and it should work fine.
  15. All of that should be in the GTAIV folder otherwise it wont do much. I'll double check how the installer is doing things with my own GTA in a minute to verify. right seems the installer (for me at least, and has appeared to do so for you as well) is putting it all into a folder called "LCPD first Repsonse" you want to take everything of that out of that folder and put it all into your GTAIV folder. It should work fine then.
  16. Thank you. Right something is seriously messed up here. You have installed LCPDFR into the "Installers" folder, it needs to be inside the "GTA IV" folder. You also have all of your Scripthook.dll and script files outside of your "GTA IV" folder which means they will never run inside GTA.
  17. It seems you're not the only person having issues with that particular car, I would perhaps suggest trying a different one just to be on the safe side, or downloading a different version of that car if the mod author has made multiple. To install IV DashCam you need to follow it's instructions given to you in the readme if the .zip version of the mod. The automatic installer works as well but it's preferable (to me at least) to use a manual install so you know what you are changing. you then need to apply the 2.2.1 fix file which can be downloaded from the same place.
  18. Follow these steps very carefully for me please: 1) Go to the location where you have GTA IV installed, this is usually something like Program Files > Rockstar Games > Grand Theft Auto 2) Press "Prt Sc" (print screen) when you can see all of your GTA IV files 3) Open Paint or some image editing software, press CTRL + V. Save this image. 4) Upload the image to imgur. 5) Copy the link here.
  19. what version of GTA are you using, can you post a screenshot of your GTA directory, and which version of LCPDFR did you try to install?
  20. Pressing Alt+F4 is a windows shortcut to terminate the program. You need to press Alt + P to start LCPDFR.
  21. Could you post a screenshot of your GTA IV directory please? also can you tell me what version of GTA you are using, what version of LCPDFR you are using and what other mods you have installed? EDIT: What that genius below me said, listen to him :) / /
  22. No worries, glad I could help :)
  23. Hmm but then you are relying on some random files on the internet. I dislike that a huge amount. your choice though not mine.
  24. Always back up BEFORE modding. Your best bet is actually to reinstall GTA IV and then backup the entire directory for safe keeping. Messing with vehicle models will cause a lot of crashes and errors usually, and "patching" them with different vehicle models will fix some issues if done correctly, but then could still cause issues as well. Seriously, redownload, then back up everything, then install your mods cause it will save you hours of downloading and waiting if you have those backups freely at hand.
  25. Hello and welcome to the forum :) We're glad to have you here. These questions are probably better suited to the GTA IV support section rather than the LCPDFR support section as they are related to other mods. Just so you know for future reference. I would highly recommend you learn OpenIv as it gives you much better control of what happens, with the vehicle installer if it goes wrong or messes up you will never know what is causing the problem. For textures it is best to use the OpenIV tool (be sure to use Edit Mode). they go inside the vehicle wtd file I believe. Generally speaking i terms of tips I can't suggest anything more than always make a backup of your clean install. It is the number 1 advice anyone will give you.
