Lcpdfr 1.0b Problem and error
None of your log files are showing any kind of LCPDFR error or warning at all from what I can see. this means whichever mod you're trying to install is causing problems. Which mods are you trying to install and are you reading the installation readme's correctly.?

With the amount of information you have given me it could be a whole list of reasons. what I highly recommend you doing is going through everything in this guide I wrote, and determine what is likely the reason. when you have done that come back and give me some more information and I will ty and figure out what the reason is for you :) Guide is here: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

Need some help Over here
Yeah you have messed up your installation quite a bit there. Go through your directory and take all of the files I list below and put them in the places I say to: Inside LCPDFR Folder: API Example folder Audio folder plugins folder LCPDFR.ini Microsoft.WinowsAPICodePack.dll LCPDFR Diagnostics Tool mainmenu.png That should fix it.

Lcpdfr not working
Pretty much yes. Make sure you're in edit mode though (You will see a button which says edit mode, it allows you to do the drag and drop thing, otherwise you're just browsing the files)

Lcpdfr not working
Not a huge amount, OpenIV is more up to date (I think, don't quote me on that) and quite a few people say it is more stable than SparkIV.

Lcpdfr not working
You probably didn't replace it correctly. I recommend going to the tutorial section, here is one I found on using OpenIV to install a vehicle model http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/vehicle-modification-tutorial/how-to-install-a-vehicle-using-open-iv-extremely-simple-r53 You will find a lot of help there for installing vehicles correctly.

Game gives me error when I start it
Yes but did you make sure you disabled "Read Only" mode on your GTAIV directory and all sub-folders?

Need some help Over here
Hi, Your GTA IV scripts need to go in the "scripts" folder, not within the "LCPDFR" folder. Make sure that you have the asi loader, scripthook and advancedhook etc in the root of your GTAIV folder. If that is the case and you're not sure post a picture of your GTA Iv directory and I will have a look at what might be the issue. As a first port to call though check the guide I wrote as it might be of some help to you. (It's pinned at the top of this forum section).

Lcpdfr not working
I use openiv myself, but regardless you should probably make a new thread in the gta iv support section for this. I assume you're modding vehicle or ped models? Hi, if nothing in this thread has helped you try looking in a couple others because this issue has been reported quite a lot. I also highly recommend looking at myq guide (pinned at the top of this forum section) as that will help you out a lot.

Nothing happens when I press ALT + P
Right it also looks like you have the files from a pre 1.0 installation as well. I highly recommend you reinstall GTA IV and remove any remaining mod files in your directory and then make a clean backup before installing any new mods. Once that is done reinstall LCPDFR with the 1.0b installer, run the diagnostics tool to make sure it is all ok and try again.
-
Nothing happens when I press ALT + P
Yes please definitely post the screenshot, and then while I'm viewing it, reinstall LCPDFR correctly.

Nothing happens when I press ALT + P
That log is merely saying everything is loading. Could you please post the LCPDFR.log file, as well as a screenshot of your GTA IV directory.

ALT + P
You are missing a couple of things which are integral to all script mods. The asi loader and the scripthookdotnet.asi Make sure these are located inside the GTAIV folder and NOT inside a sub-folder. Yours are all inside the LCPD First Response folder, take everything out of that folder and place it in the GTAIV folder.

Nothing happens when I press ALT + P
Erm, no you can press it while moving around. Get a keyboard with anti-ghosting. Have you been through all the tips and possible solutions in my guide (pinned in this forum) '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> You will likely find an answer to your problems there, specifically try using the diagnostics tool I outline in chapter 1 of that guide. If not let me know.

Not a problem, glad I could help :)

Cannot start LCPDFR
ROFL. Enjoy your game buddy :)

Cannot start LCPDFR
That is, very odd. You clearly have everything set up correctly. This is a stupid question, you are pressing Alt+P when you get in game aren't you? EDIT: Yes the plugins folder should be empty, unless you download a plugin.

Cannot start LCPDFR
Peculiar, everything is in the right place. Diagnostics tool is definitely looking in your GTA IV directory, and is definitely saying everything is ok? What other mods do you have installed if any? The loader error people normally get is due to missing the .net framework 4.5 which if you were getting that error as well the diagnostics tool should have detected it. Try downloading and installing .net framework 4.5 just to be on the safe side, you can get it from here http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=30653

Cannot start LCPDFR
Ok can you post a screenshot of your GTA IV directory for me please? None of your logs are actually reporting any errors at all which means they are either not being called at all, or you are missing something.

LCPDFR Common Errors and Quick Fixes
Hello LCPDFR users, and welcome to my quick fixes and common errors guide on how to get your LCPDFR up and running. The guide will contain help on how to correctly use the diagnostics tool with version 1.0b as well as some of the more trivial errors which occur and how to fix them, so let’s get started. Below you will find a contents table of “Chapters” in this guide, each chapter can be found by it's title, the content of that chapter will be in a spoiler tag. So without further adieu... Common Errors and Quick Fixes for LCPDFR Chapter 1 - How to use the Diagnostics Tool (1.0b +) Chapter 2 - Common Errors and Quick Fixes Chapter 3 - Downloads and Extras Chapter 4 - The Best Way to Get Support Chapter 5 - Appendix, Credits and a Thank You My final Words To begin with it is probably best to start with Chapter 1, skipping to chapters is possible if you're in a hurry to get it working again but you might miss out useful information from a previous chapter. Seriously it is worth the read if it helps you fix your game. I highly recommend everyone reads chapter 4 at the very least. It will explain the best way to get support on the forum should this guide not work for you. If people could use this format it would be great as it means I and other forum members can quickly read through your problems and help you out. Note: If you need support, create yourself a new thread rather than spam this with "help me please" messages, I will respond to a new thread more. Thanks :) Changelog 23/03/2014 - Updated to include the "Error in module dsound.dll" fix, chapter 2

Cant change path from diagnostic Tool from EFLC to GTA 4
Have you tried to make sure the game runs at this point? The only thing I can see in the log file which is an LCPDFR error is this line System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object So go into your LCPDFr.ini file and find the line that says "PreloadAllModels = False", change this value to "True" and see if that works.

Game gives me error when I start it
Hi Gavin, First things first could you please not put things in yellow text, yellow on white is extremely hard for the majority of people to read, especially for me who has difficulty with normal text (I wear glasses for reading) I've edited it in the quote above for my own purpose. That error is saying it does not have access to write the document "asilog.txt" which all script files tend to write a log file. It means your GTA IV directory is likely in read only mode. Try setting GTA Iv to not be in Read-Only (right click the folder, and click properties) also try running the game as administrator.
-
Cannot start LCPDFR
Do you have a folder called LCPD First Response? If so everything inside that needs to be in the GTA IV directory, not in that folder. If you dn't have that folder try running the diagnostics tool to see what is missing.

file replacement
If you were to replace the APC with a charger you would likely get several problems. Consider the fact, one is a tank, the other is a muscle car. I'm not sure how GTA IV would handle that change, but assuming it worked fine, yes the charger would handle like the APC you would need to change the APC's handling settings in the Handling.dat file.

Cant change path from diagnostic Tool from EFLC to GTA 4
When you open the Diagnostic Tool, click the tick box in the bottom left corner that says "Advanced mode" this will let you browse for your GTA IV directory.
