  1. Fair enough, homework takes priority :) Be sure to quote me when you reply so I get notified.
  2. Sounds like a good idea to me. Be sure to delete all of the mod files, so that when you reinstall you get a clean install of GTA IV. Also make a complete backup of your GTA IV directory (clean) so that you can quickly "reinstall" GTA IV without having to go through the huge hassle of deleting and reinstalling etc. You can just delete and copy the directory across.
  3. Yes definitely try that first, be sure to fully uninstall LCPDFR and then only install 1.0b.
  4. Right, did you install 1.0b over 1.0? Or did you fully remove 1.0 and then install 1.0b? I would probably try to reinstall GTA IV, completely delete all of the mod files before you actually go to install GTA IV, and then install LCPDFR 1.0b and try it to make sure it works fine. It may be a memory issue being caused by your car models.
  5. What version of LCPDFR are you using, and do you have any other scripts installed? You say you installed a mod pack, what was in it?
  6. Right well definitely no crashes or warnings about it. It must be working correctly if the script is detecting that you left the vehicle. Try manoeuvring your police car around behind the vehicle you pulled over and see if it triggers the script's check to see if you are behind it, if it works you'll see a yellow arrow either side of the car.
  7. Hi and welcome to the forum, From your logs you're not getting any crash that is caused by LCPDFR. There is nothing, but then you have only shown us a snippet of your LCPDFR.log file. Could you please upload the whole thing? You say that the vehicle pulls over and stops, do you see any yellow arrows to the side of the vehicle at all? Or is it literally a case of it just pulls over and stops and that is it?
  8. Hi, This isn't a bug, I'm sure everyone gets this. The "problem" is that once the callout you are dealing with has fully ended in the script, the police are detached from the script meaning they return to being standard GTA IV AI. GTA IV AI will derp, a lot. So they may walk off, they may find a car and try to leave by crashing into every other object. Kill a few people. Not a lot you can do because the AI is hard coded.
  9. Hi! Firstly, thank you for the very in depth report, I actually took great pleasure in reading the entire thing. But for the purposes of the quote in this very post, I snipped it out. No point on quoting the whole damn thing when I'm the first reply. Right well, you seemed to try several things, but I want to get you running on 1.0b. It's the most recent version, and quite frankly the best and apparently most stable release according to sources. Ok let's really throw back to the beginning, an issue I know but we can cover all grounds from here. 1) Uninstall GTA IV, when the uninstall is completed delete all of the files and folders which remain inside the gta iv directory. 2) Reinstall GTA IV, when it is complete copy EVERYTHING into a new folder somewhere, hell even zip it if you want. Name it GTA IV BACKUP You'll thank me later for this. 3) Run the game. Yep, do it. I'm 100% certain it will run but let's just be sure. 4) It runs! Great, download lcpdfr automatic installer 1.0b and extract it from it's zip file. 5) run the installer, be careful to read the filepath it want's to put the install in. make sure the end of the file path reads GTAIV > and not GTAIV > LCPD First Response > 6) Now it's installed, but will it work? Go to the diagnostics tool, get it to check your installation. Any diagnostics tool issues can be seen in chapter 1 here '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> IF the diag tool crashes, run the game and load it up. That will hopefully either run fine, or produce a crash with a log file and a lovely error report for me to read.
  10. Yep that is the only one you're actually missing. But you can get rid of the 64x ones because they aren't used at all, just wasting space. :)
  11. Nope, you don't have them installed :P The diagnostics tool is correct... Why? You have the 64x and 86x version of 2010 (only the 86x is needed) But for the 2012? You only have the 64x. LCPDFR uses the 86x redists and NOT the 64x ones. Even if you use a 64x OS, you need only the 86x ones.
  12. Figured I would jump on the bandwagon here. I actually have 2 internet speeds, because one is my dad's house where I go at weekends. The other is my mums house where I am during weekdays (closer to uni lol) I'm a lazy person. So, here is the internet speed at my dad's house. And here it is at my mum's house
  13. Great, I'm glad I could help. Enjoy.
  14. Check your police helper settings, the traffic cones are meant to spawn behind the character by default, and if you are too close when you try to spawn another one, it will remove the one you just placed. The lights only work at night as well so you will always get a traffic cone during the day.
  15. I'm guessing you're not very computer literate. Below is the direct link to the patch files. Download it, extract it, and install it. http://updates.rockstargames.com/patches/gtaiv/title_update_7_EN.zip
  16. https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200145406-Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-Patch-7-Title-Update-v-1-0-7-0-English-1-0-6-1-Russian-1-0-5-2-Japanese-
  17. You are running the wrong GTA IV patch. LCPDFR 1.0 requires the GTA IV 1.0.7.0 patch. (latest) You need to update your GTA IV game by getting the latest patch from rockstar, and then try to install LCPDFR again.
  18. Hmm, I'm not too sure what could be causing that error to occur then. I'll have to look more into it for you. Let me know how the police helper goes, oh I would also recommend disabling world events with the police helper just for stability. A lot of people report it not being fully compatible with LCPDFR 1.0 and that it causes crashes. Who knows, it may even fix your problem.
  19. Yes, definitely run the diagnostics tool which comes with 1.0b. You can find a guide on using it here: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> Be sure to quote me when you reply so I know you have replied :)
  20. Hi, You should uninstall your current version of LCPDFR (as you are using 0.95) and install the latest version, 1.0b.
  21. Hi, The two errors you get are not actually directly linked to the Callouts+ mod (although I do recognise that plugin is throwing one of them) I can tell you that callouts+ is working for you, because in your log file you can see it say [Plugin.Callouts+] Started [Plugin.Callouts+] Using version 0.1a Your error is that it is attempting to assign a variable "null" to something which cannot be assigned null, this happens both for Callouts+ and for one of the main LCPDFR callouts. I'm not too sure why it is referring to null at this point either. My suggestion is to try and set the "PreloadAllModels = True" under the [Main] part of the LCPDFR.ini file and see if that helps with the callouts. As for the police helper. Z is not going to function on it's own, it requires the modifier (I believe it uses CTRL and SHIFT) So for example CTRL + Z
  22. Yeah I know what you mean, and yes BC2 was the best game they made IMO. I am super hyped for watchdogs, I was mildly hyped for BF4 because it looked too much like 3 with more explosions basically. But watchdgos has pulled me in big time. Really hope they don't mess it up.
  23. Oh man ride to hell was a bad game. Like, not many games make me want to decapitate my own head with the keyboard. And Battlefield 4 has been a very very rushed game. It's a fantastic game when it works, and I love it. But consider how long they took to release Battlefield 3, there was months of hype about the game and then more months of hype about the new frostbite 2 engine. Then they announced Battlefield 4 at e3 and BAM 2 weeks later it was out for release. I got that game for my birthday in January so I fortunately missed all of the initial bugs and patch fixes, but even now it is still pretty bad. The two main bugs I notice, are the seriously fucked up killcams....and for me, the game launches in a mini window in the top left corner of my monitor. I have to go into video settings every time and switch to windowed mode and then back to borderless just to get it to fit my monitor again.
  24. None of you guys have clearly tried to play the London 2012 Olympics game on pc. The port was so bad that the controls were all still the xbox 360 controller, so you had to guess which keyboard/mouse button was mapped to what. And even then the mappings made absolutely no fucking sense ever. "Rotate the left thumbstick as shown to do _____" would become "rotate Z to do ________"........HOW THE F*** DO I ROTATE Z!?!?! *rage* :)
  25. Get rid of the x64 ones. You really really really don't need them.
