  1. Ok, so once you have finished reinstalling GTA IV, make a clean backup so that you don't have to go through the timely process of uninstalling/reinstalling again. At this point, load up GTA IV and run around, blow something up, be sure GTA IV is working fine/ Then install LCPDFR 1.0b via the automatic installer. When that is done run the diagnostics tool packaged with LCPDFR 1.0b and get it to check your installation to make sure everything is ok. If it says everything is fine, run GTA IV again, press ALT + P to launch LCPDFR and enjoy.
  2. Hi, To get started, can you post a screenshot of your entire GTA IV directory please. Also to be certain can you tell me which version of LCPDFR you downloaded.
  3. Great I'm glad it's working. :) As for the police cars, as far as I know the stinger and the buffalo don't drive round normally, and I don't think the stinger ever spawns at all except for outside that one station. Have you tried opening the console and typing "spawn police3" (for the buffalo) or "spawn police4" for the stinger.
  4. The only "GetValue" lines you have are the warnings when the settings file is being read for LCPDFR. Every single person in the history of the world gets those values. They're printed because there is a method catching an error that says those values can't be found. Otherwise they would cause a crash. I highly doubt they are causing the crash because those values are initialised at the very beginning of the script rather than, as you say, during a pursuit. So try adding the line that I said and see if it works.
  5. Right ok. What I would suggest you do, is uninstall all of your mods (make a clean install of GTA IV, and then a backup) and then install just LCPDFR 1.0b on it's own, load up and see if that works ok. It should work fine. If it does, then you can reinstall your other mods one by one.
  6. Use the latest one with 1.0b. It provides full support.
  7. Ok, are you using the latest diagnostics tool that comes with 1.0b? Don't forget the screenshot of your GTA IV directory please.
  8. Hi, The only crash I can see which is recent is one in which you get an unfound method. When you installed 1.0b did you make absolutely sure to remove all previous versions of LCPDFR and install only 1.0b? 1.0b includes all the latest patches within the installer itself so you don't need to install 1.0 then 1.0a then 1.0b, you only install 1.0b.
  9. Hi, Ok the cause I've noticed for your most recent crash is this GTA.NonExistingObjectException: Invalid call to an object that doesn't exist anymore! You also get some freval errors for instances every now and then. My advice is to go into the LCPDFR.ini file, locate the line [Main] and underneath it add "PreloadAllModels = True". This will force any models to pre-render before the callout is generated, so you wont have any scripts crashing suddenly because the model didn't render.
  10. You can only override what is already in the game vehicle wise, so only one model per vehicle, but multiple liveries (skins) if it supports it. There is a way to add more vehicles but it's not something I would advise.
  11. Try setting PreloadAllModels = True in the configuration file for LCPDFR and see if that clears it up, you shouldn't be getting spammed that much in your log file, but seeing that warning is very very common. You've made a monumental error somewhere. Please be aware that LCPDFR 1.0b requires more resources than 0.95 did, purely because of how much more has changed. I advise you remove all other mods and verify that LCPDFR can run on your system before trying to install lots of ENB's or vehicle models. I would also recommend not using high-poly vehicle models for the same reason. For future reference, creating your own thread makes responding to individuals needs much easier and allows us to keep track of who is having what problem, you may be having a different problem to the OP even if it is only a minor difference. If you make my life easier by creating your own thread in the future it makes it easier for me to help you and get your game working quicker. :)
  12. Could you provide some extra information please. A screenshot of your GTA I directory, what mods you have installed etc. What version of GTA IV are you using and what version of LCPDFR did you install?
  13. That's what I meant. Not museum xD (it's the same road)
  14. Those are the two hardcoded ones, by the museum and on the bridge. The LCPDFR ones actually pull over a car (you hear the cops say "pull over" on the megaphone and see the car pull to the side if you are quick enough) I've seen a couple of the LCPDFR ones now, would be nice to see more of them. :) I'll try to do some video capture over the holidays and show them off a bit more because they do seem rather rare.
  15. Those traffic stops are awesome, I agree. Perhaps adjust these lines in the LCPDFR config file AmbientScenariosMaximum=2 AmbientScenariosMultiplier=250 The AI traffic stops come under ambient scenario I think. As for the AI assisting you, that's a little difficult with the GTA IV AI being hardcoded in. Maybe it's possible though I don't know. We'll see :)
  16. Read chapter 1 '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  17. Yes, that's correct. Run it using the advanced mode.
  18. For pursuits, don't call it in (pressing ALT + E). As for regular callouts some are scripted to have an AI backup called in automatically, and the "random join" of AI which is already spawned in cannot be stopped really. Your best bet is to reduce the values down for responding AI in the LCPDFR.ini file.
  19. All those screens you mentioned are in the new diagnostics tool, which I recommend you run and have it check your installation as it will highlight any errors. Your process for installing that you mentioned is correct for the new 1.0b version of LCPDFR.
  20. Hi, When you say the installation screen looks different what do you mean, have you been looking at 1.0b videos? Can you upload a screenshot of your GTA IV directory for me as well please.
  21. Hi, Try removing some of your scripts, LCPDFR 1.0 is more resource demanding than previous versions. I wouldn't run that many script mods on GTA IV and then install car mods either, you are prone to get crashes doing that. Generally speaking, the more you mod GTA IV the more unstable it gets.
  22. Set your GTA IV aspect resolution to 16:9 rather than automatic. (assuming you have a 16:9 monitor) That will stop GTA IV from checking the aspect ration and changing it, and hopefully will fix your issue. GTA IV was never built to work on 2 monitors. I have issues with it too :)
  23. I like them both equally. In the winter you've got lots of snow, ice and lovely scenery. There is nothing like getting out of bed, going into the front room turning the fire on and sitting by it with a hot cup of coffee and just looking at the lovely covering of snow outside. It also makes it fully acceptable to be drinking coffee with 2 inches worth of Baileys Liquor in it. The downside to winter is all the spiders come inside. I cannot stand spiders. Arachnophobia ftw. *shudders* In the summer though, you've got beautiful vibrant colours everywhere, flowers birds and happy everything. And thus you can sit in your shorts and t-shirts in a beer garden at the local pub with a pint and relax with friends. Alternatively you can put on your walking boots and go for a walk around some of the most beautiful places ever. We have one which I live right next to called the Peak District National Park. The downside of summer is wasps. Wasps ruin everything. (bees are fine, they don't bother you)
  24. ScripthookDoNet log You've made quite a big error somewhere when sorting your mods out. I'd highly recommend you start from a clean install of GTA IV and make a backup of that, then install your mods again.
  25. Hi, The only crash which is registered by LCPDFR is the random scenario manager. Which will not be the cause of the crash you are mentioning. I would try removing some of your other mods and see which is causing the issue. My best advice would actually be to uninstall all of your mods and then reinstall them one by one, testing them, to see which it is which is causing the issue.
