  1. This is quite awesome if I do say so myself. :D
  2. I still need to set up the collision for the door windows, and i need to change materials over to IV. I'll need someone to map the UV for the parts of the car that are normally on the Police_Sign_1.png so that people can make textures for it, i'm pretty rubbish at it doing that kind of mapping. I can't express my gratitude in words; the last thing I thought I'd see when I checked this topic was that someone was nearly through with converting the model. I simply cannot thank you enough for this! :D.
  3. You've certainly piqued my interest, Beckugan. Here's hoping the LTD Crown Victoria can gather the same treatment! :D
  4. Ahh, I suppose that does make sense. In any case, the best case scenario is if we can get some word back from the GTAIV model author. If not, I do hope that either Beckugan or myself can locate a converter from San Andreas.
  5. One of the best unmarked cars out there; especially with the NYPD lighting setup.
  6. Thanks for that link; the hubcap choice for that one is rather odd as it is using the 1992-1997 Crown Victoria hubcaps. Dog-dishes look much nicer on a police car. :D I'll try and give contacting that author a go; perhaps the more people that attempt contact the greater chance at actual reply. EDIT: Alright, sent an email his way. Here's hoping we can get an answer this time. Also, a few authors over at GPM appear to have the San Andreas model and have used it for editing as a police vehicle; Georgia State Patrol LTD Crown Victoria; http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=152 LAPD Pack with 1991 LTD Crown Victoria; http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1499
  7. Maybe you can try the author website/author email links on GTAGaming? - http://www.gtagaming.com/downloads/gta-iv/vehicle-mods/6738
  8. Thanks for the support; hopefully Compeast has the link as mentioned in his post. Care to post the link for the San Andreas model; it appears as if Beckugan may have the resources to convert it. I cannot blame you for not wanting to convert yourself though; the process must surely be a pain. Also, I don't believe any reply has been made about the unlocked model of the one converted to IV, but here is a link in case you want to try your hand at contacting the author - http://www.gta4-mods.com/vehicles/1989-ford-ltd-crown-victoria-f6738 Though I'd prefer the ELS Aerodynic [as close as the LAPD version of the car posted at the top of this page], seeing a Streethawk would be great as well. ----------------- I'd just like to thank all that have replied to this thread; this is one of my dream cars and to see it immortalized in GTA IV would be nothing short of fantastic. :D
  9. That would be something of a dream come true; if you were to undertake this project I'd be extremely thankful! - Just do be sure to make it ELS-compatible. And I may just do that as well, Bekugan1, but the link in your signature doesn't seem to work.
  10. No problem; now if only I could get a modder on that car - that would surely be a treat. xD
  11. The new revision of Policing Script is INCREDIBLE; I love how it tells you where callouts are happening and leads you to them using the radar, the new text is great, and it is much more stable.
  12. The third picture on the first post is from the movie HEAT (1995) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_%281995_film%29 The picture that you quoted was an actual chase involving OJ Simpson and the LAPD - Here's some info and news footage is below - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OJ_Simpson_car_chase#Ford_Bronco_chase http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcyyCi2b2AY
  13. Just found this thread, and I must say that Abraxas is becoming my one-stop-shop for any GTA gameplay mods I need! :D --- Also, love that first post; curious if anyone else picked up on the references; Great movie.
  14. Going to bump this one last time to see if there is any interest whatsoever; I'd still love to see an ELS verison of this car in-game. Also, I located some fantastic photos of a 1991 LAPD LTD Crown Victoria for reference; they were used extensively alongside the 1980-1990 Chevrolet Caprice from what I've gathered. An episode from Season 7 of COPS [available on the 20th anniversary DVD] had a notable high-speed chase involving the LAPD with this type of LTD Crown Victoria with the camera crew inside.

    I'd personally love to see a Clayton County, Georgia CVPI skin;
  16. This would've been great had it been ELS.
  17. Really cool IMO; a shame I don't have EFLC to use it.
  18. Can't wait to hear more; almost as much as I can't stand suspense. :D
  19. I do believe that a Ford E-series van is in the works over at GPM; perhaps someone will do an NYPD version at one point as they still use both the older and newer vans in tandem.
  20. I was always curious as to why this particular CVPI was hard to come by. I understand that the modeling is probably a pain for the lightbar though.
  21. The wail tone has some noticeably awkward looping, but it is a fairly decent siren. And I am inclined to agree with NickieB's original mentioning of the plethora of Touchmaster Deltas out there. Cars aren't like sirens in the sense that there are multiple variations and differentiating factors that one can do with a vehicle model; different textures, rambars, lighting setups, etc. A siren really only has one configuration when considering it for GTA IV; wail, yelp, priority, and airhorn. So many of these sirens exist in better quality that it doesn't make sense to flood the download section with them.
  22. One of the more awesome additions to GTA IV. Bravo! :D
  23. Pretty cool looking! :D
  24. Can't wait; it'll surely be one of the best mods on this site. I do hope to replace Bravehart's script with the updated callout-enabled policehelper.
