honestly, I think the way it's solutioned with the baton is good enough.
  4. Umh, if you've never done anything with 3D modelling, you're not gonna be able to convert it. It takes a lot of skill and patience to convert a model to GTA IV.
  5. They keep "diaper"ing? o.o No, seriously: Do you have ELS installed?
  6. BMW 5 Series Touring (E61), not BMW Estate... asdgfrghsdjghksjdghkjs - right in the BMW OCD man.... right in it....
  7. Looks good man! However I'd say that you used a bit too much noise in the pictures.

First off; what's up with your punctuation, man? Your posts are damn hard to read. Secondly, most arrests are in fact done without drawing any weapons. (Of course it's different with traffic stops, where a person could always pull a gun and turn around). It's actually called use of force continuum. An officer will never resort to pulling a gun unless his or any other person's life is immediately endangered by another person. While arresting, typically just shouting at the person and putting one hand on the holster for safety is enough. As for the holster in LCPDFR, first off the devs needed something to recognize that the user is willing to make an arrest (otherwise - with no weapons equipped - you will get your standart detention menu when pressing E); and then again, this is Liberty City; what would the LCPD be without some excessive force? ;D
  9. That's not true. If they would do EVERYTHING to stop modding, they'd simply implement a hashsum checker, that stops the game from loading if files are modified. (If I recall correclty such a thing existed back in the 1.0.0.0, 1.0.1.0 and (i think even) 1.0.2.0 days). Rockstar, as far as you can tell from the way they do their games, do not care if people mod their game. They do not make it pruposely difficult or easy (which is something I really love about them). However, they would never implement something just because there's a petition. Different situation would be, if a large proportion of the community would refuse to buy the game, if a feature wasn't included. But I think in terms of size of community, compared to the whole of the GTA community, the gta iv police modding community isn't even moving in the decimals.
  10. Because high poly interiors make your game slower. (simplified)
  11. Nothing to see here! This topic has been closed by G17 Media staff. If you feel that this topic has been closed in error, please report this post.
  12. SimpleNativeTrainer does this afaik.
  13. Lennox... lol.... I've used only so many Linux distros (Ubuntu, SUSE and Fedora) and I must say, that they're really great. They offer a lot of options in terms of customizability and are just really advanced OSs. I used to doubleboot Windows 7 and Ubuntu actually. The first difference you will notice, is actually the boot time. Linux is blazing fast in terms of booting your system (much much quicker than Windows). And I can really only say, that if it wasn't for the bad compatibilty of Linux with Windows apps (which I use mostly), it'd be my OS of doubt, no choice.
  14. I'm pretty sure SpeedyRetreat was being sarcastic. Can we please cut the flaming now? Thanks!
  15. It's not a Javelin, definitely not
  16. Like anyone cares if you use it or not.
  17. Let me take a guess: "GTA FATAL ERROR:D3D ERROR-SHADERMODEL 3.0OR HIGHER IS REQUIRED" Your graphics card - if you even have a dedicated one - doesn't support shadermodel 3.0... Just a wild guess. Please post specs.
  18. TL;DR - Everyone is welcome here, we do not see any other website as "competition"; after all this community is ought to be a big familiy within the enormous GTA IV modding scene. However, we do not see why people vigorously refuse to upload mods to our download base, yet in turn use us to advertise their content on other websites - that is the only reason why we're starting to stop this kind of behavior.
  19. The ELS lightbar on that Speedo does work, however it's not possible to have them arrive with a flashing lightbar
  20. Changing siren mode -> changing light pattern.
  21. I've never heard of call specific light patterns, but you can do that if you want to. All I've ever seen are siren specific lightmodes, which is afaik, something that will be included in ELS v7
