  1. You likely have an invalid ped or vehicle model installed. Try removing your mods folder and just using default vehicles, then see if it works. If so, it's an issue with some model you've installed.

  3. Have spent some time this week figuring out some of the new developments in map editing! With OpenIV 2.9, proper map mods are now possible. I've also discovered some new tricks to get certain building props to spawn outside their normal area, and I've been doing some custom props in zmodeler. What does this all mean? Well, it's still early in its development, but say hello to Coast Guard Station Paleto Bay! I've gotten some feedback from beta testers (and observed in their videos) that people tend to focus on the Los Santos/Del Perro area when they go out on Coastal patrols. The rugged northern coast of San Andreas has some of the most demanding terrain for coast guard missions, so I'm pleased to finally have a small boats station in Paleto Bay to serve this isolated, beautiful, and dangerous section of the Pacific coast.
  4. I started working on a mod like this. I had to abandon it because while you can change the traffic light colors, the AI drivers don't respect that change, and I couldn't successfully get them to clear the intersection otherwise. Maybe someday I'll revisit it, but there's no easy way to do so in GTA V.
  5. I will make templates available once the models are complete. All of the boat models are still being worked on and are subject to change.
  6. RDE comes with a Custom Backup XML file that's preconfigured to use all the RDE vehicles and peds. You're welcome to add your own entries too. The format is the same.
  7. Spent some time on the Motor Life Boat model last night getting the emergency light to look more realistic. Now the rotator has an emissive texture on it, so the rotating light actually lights up! Looks a lot more legit than it used to, that's for sure.
  8. Some stations have a chance of the SUV or the fire truck coming. You can remove the lines with FBI2 from the XML if you want.
  9. This is not the recommended way to call natives. MulleDK recommends avoiding the CallByName/CallByHash method. Also, as of RPH 0.51, you can pass a Vector3 directly into a native and it'll automatically get expanded to three floats being passed to the underlying native.   10. Finally got the life ring all integrated with the mod, and fixed some bugs with it. Makes ocean rescue callouts done from a boat a lot more legit, as now you don't even have to go in the water to rescue most peds!
  11. This is possibly the most ironic and hypocritical statement I have ever read on this site. Your big project, LSRD, is hardly a fresh idea... you're methodically copying features from the in-development EmergencyV, not to mention features from Better EMS and other mods. And let's think about some of the other plugins you've ripped off. Siren Mastery... which you copied the idea for and then released "coincidentally" during Albo's release livestream of his original Siren Mastery mod. And Alex's Emergency Strobes plugin, which you also copied. And probably other mods I've forgotten. You, of all people, have absolutely no right to talk about people coming up with "fresh ideas".

  14. ELS issue. Increase the max ai distance in the els.ini file to a larger value.
  15. No. The LSPDFR backup menu offers no way to change its entries. But, if you use my Custom Backup mod (linked in the description of this mod) you can call it using that, and it's also integrated with Police Smart Radio by Albo1125. There are no callouts in this plugin. So that callout must be some other plugin. I don't know anything about it.
  16. As you can see from my helicopter hoist features and boat towing features, I have ropes well figured out already and have an RPH wrapper class for it. I'm already planning to add the ability to pull it back in with a rope, as well as to make it so AI peds on your boat can also throw the ring. It'll also detect peds near the ring, have them swim closer to it if they're nearby, then attach them to it so they can be dragged back in. All still in development of course, but that's the plan!
  17. Today's success: got a throwable life preserver ring working! Still in early testing, and I still need to add the capability to actually detect peds nearby and attach them to it. But I think it looks pretty legit! Thanks to skylinegtrfreak for help figuring out the collisions on the add-on prop and to khorio for reminding me how to dynamically adjust the buoyancy of a spawned prop.

  19. Please post a ragepluginhook.log. Also, make sure you're on the latest versions of Better EMS and Custom Backup. The Better EMS API changed in version 3.0 which was released just before Smart Radio.

  21. Just made a bunch of improvements to the boat pursuit AI. Previously I had a problem where fleeing boats would end up stuck going in circles, with police boats following them in circles, and it all got quite ridiculous and unrealistic. With the new pursuit AI I have developed, the fleeing boats will now take off in a much more realistic fashion. I've also worked a lot on the pursuit AI from the police side the past couple days, as well as the copilot pursuit AI. In short, pursuits are much more realistic and fun now! You can successfully terminate a pursuit now entirely from a helicopter by shooting out the boat's engines and/or shouting commands over the loudspeaker. If the suspect complies, any police boat in pursuit may approach to apprehend the suspect, without you ever having to leave your helicopter. Pursuits can also be conducted from a boat, in which case you can make the arrest if you are near enough to beat the AI to it!
