  1. You can find more info about Coastal Callouts here. It will be released later this year, and is currently in early access beta. Heli Ground Effects can also be downloaded from the author's old website via archive.org: https://web.archive.org/web/20170819190803/http://gtavmodding.digital-essence.co.uk/downloads/Helicopter_Effects.7z
  2. I have no idea how long it might take LSPDFR 0.4 to be released. If it happens to be released before Coastal Callouts, then I'll have to postpone my release to update it. But I think that's very unlikely given the slow pace of LSPDFR development, and I'm not going to sit around waiting for no reason. I've kept you all hanging long enough! As Lewis mentioned, the Super Puma has been integrated to the Coastal Callouts DLC, although it will also be released publicly by Skyline as a separate download sometime soon. I am working on some mountain rescue callouts as we speak! There are already a few callouts that aren't only coast guard related, and I have a few others like that planned. It'll be "Mostly Coastal But Also Other Stuff I Thought Was Fun Callouts".
  3. It is designed to only send one unit when called within a given area. If you set the chance to 100 on everything, it just means they'll each have an equal chance of spawning. Right now there isn't really any way to send more than 1 ambulance and 1 firetruck to the same location. Perhaps that is something I'll add in the future. Yes you can control liveries, you can see an example of this if you search "Livery" in the XML file.
  4. Thank you very much for your interest in donating! I always appreciate support from the community. You can find information about donating at https://parksmods.com/donate/. As soon as I I see a donation confirmation email from PayPal, I send the beta information via email. Obviously I can't do that if I'm asleep but I usually get it within 6-12 hours. There's some further steps after you get the welcome email; most people are able to play within 24-48 hours of donating.
  5. ELS has not updated since it was released. So yes all these problems still remain.
  6. I intend to have a public release sometime in 2018, but I don't know exactly when yet. So much is dependent on the outcome of game research that I can't predict the pace of. But, we're definitely getting closer! Callouts and features are mostly good enough now. We have some work yet to do on the vehicles and DLC in particular. And then there's the installer, which... well that's a whole different set of challenges which I'm still working on. I certainly haven't given up, just a lot of less-exciting stuff to do before it's ready for the masses. I'll do a proper update post soon.
  7. On flat ground with the patient in the middle of a large roadway with all traffic stopped? Not too hard. In 80% of the places where dead bodies end up with in GTA? Pretty hard to make it look even remotely legit. I've experimented with this a bit and it's just not great. You can see the results of some early testing I did in the clip below. It works sort of OK, but as soon as they have to climb over anything like a fence/wall, or deal with busy traffic, it kind of goes to shit. If any aspiring devs out there want to build me a reliable system for this let me know and I'd be happy to integrate it with Better EMS!
  8. You can customize what vehicles respond and where they respond from in the EMSUnits.xml file. Currently it doesn't support having more than 2 units respond to the same location.
  9. Most likely it is whatever vehicle you have installed in the FBI2 slot. It sometimes dispatches a red FBI2 (unmarked SUV), as a fire department first response unit. It could also potentially be LGUARD or PRANGER, as those spawn in some areas.
  10. When I click on "Create", I see a bunch of options which I don't actually have permission to use. If I click on them it says "You don't have permission to see this page", but it seems like they shouldn't be showing up in this menu at all.
  11. There is a known problem with Better EMS on Turkish language systems. I haven't yet figured out the solution, sorry.
  12. Check that your ELS INI file doesn't have some value that's 9999999999, that exceeds the value of an int. Change it to something reasonable like 10000.
  13. Those are out of range for an Int which is why it's unable to parse them. The max value is 2,147,483,647, you have 9,999,999,999. Given the size of the world in GTA you really don't need it to be more than about 10k.
  14. @Stu Montana could you please upload your ELS.ini file?
  15. I just logged in to lcpdfr.com, and in under a minute received 5 separate "New Device Logon" emails: I do have multi-factor authentication enabled.
  16. Time for another update on Coastal Callouts progress! Training callout has been updated and improved to help new users. Vastly improved the handling of the 47' Motor Lifeboat. It's both more realistic and more fun to drive now! Planning to work on the Response Boat Medium handling more at some point too. @SkylineGTRFreak did some great work recently with updating the aircraft models - the C-130 fleet has been updated with better LODs and model quality, 3 variants (C-130J, C-130H, and EC-130V), and I even created a USCG Aviation Centennial livery for the C-130H. The Jayhawk got updated to be multi-livery, got a new and improved spotlight, FLIR camera, better rescue basket model, and an Aviation Centennial livery as well. The Dolphin got a new spotlight and FLIR too, and some improvements to the UV mapping. I finally figured out what was causing the reflection material glitch on the Defender boat, and Skyline remodeled a portion to fix that. Skyline also modeled a new stokes litter basket, and I've set it up to work with the rescue hoist. It looks way better than the old one! I've done a ton of bug fixes and performance improvements to the core script. I'm almost done making a new Yacht on Fire callout. Some important things left to do: I still need to make a custom installer. That's going to be quite a bit of work, but will make the user experience much smoother for public release. I still need to add and clarify information provided to the user during rescue callouts to make them less confusing. I'd like to add at least three more callouts before release: something involving a downed plane, something involving pirates, and some sort of mountain rescue. I might also do one involving the new submarine added in the Doomsday DLC. Over all, progress was a bit slow over the holidays as I was quite busy spending time with friends and family. Development has picked up more lately though and I'm looking forward to a release sometime later this year (although I don't know exactly when yet). In the meantime, enjoy a few screenshots:
  17. Eventually, but probably not in the initial release. There's a lot of issues with large boats in GTA V. We are working on a National Security Cutter which does have a heli landing pad. But there's a lot of issues with that model still and a lot of work to be done with the script to accommodate that.
  18. Unfortunately, LSPDFR itself does not allow plugins to set the accessory/vest component on police peds. It constantly resets it because it's trying to manage peds with a gun holster component. I have figured out a workaround but haven't gotten a chance to update Custom Backup to include it. I will post an update here when I do.
  19. We still have a lot of work to do on the 87' model, but we did figure out how to get the RIB to be able to fit into the ramp on the back of the 87': I still need to do quite a bit of work on the script for the small boat to actually be able to dock/attach to the larger boat, not to mention some kind of controls so that an AI ped can keep driving the large boat while you do stuff in the small one. I don't know yet how much of that will be included in the initial release and how much might come in a future update to Coastal Callouts, but it's all being worked on!

  21. Take out the extra Vehicle you have in there: <Vehicle prep="an" name="ambulance" audio="VEHICLE_AMBULANCE" livery="1">ambulance</Vehicle>
  22. I just tested it, and Better EMS is working just fine on RPH 0.60 with no changes required. Chances are you installed it incorrectly or there's another mod causing an issue.
  23. It's still under development. I think we can safely say at this point (looks at calendar) yeah it's not going to be released in 2017, but it'll certainly be released in 2018. Most of the core features are now complete, so now I'm working on touching up all the vehicle models, adding a few more callouts, and designing and configuring the installer for it. I'll share more news here when there's updates!
