  1. This mod wasn't intended originally to make *just* responding vehicles; there's only a 30% chance of response. 0.7 will have controllable chance of response; for now, a version with that is here: http://www.4shared.com/file/sd64-vLl/SpawnCarsnet.html This doesn't have any of the other stuff, just the DLL. Still download the LCPDFR.com version for updated readme. Also, in your ini, change "Response" from "True" to 1.0 for all the sets.
  2. I just uploaded v0.6. This is mostly a maintenance fix; it now has a debug mode, spawn forcing, and easy suppression of spawns. It still has the capability to display error messages onscreen, but they're suppressed by default. To turn on the debug features, enter TsbDbgOn into the console. This adds blips on all vehicles spawned by the mod, shows some error messages onscreen (instead of swallowing them), and turns on logging. NOTE: To stop the log from getting too big, it wipes it and starts over each time you turn on debugging. If you have a bug report, copy the log somewhere else ASAP. To turn off debug mode, enter TsbDbgOff (debug mode is off by default). It is now easy to suppress spawning. Just enter TsbOff, and there will be no random spawns from the mod (you can still force a spawn). Enter TsbOn to unsuppress spawning (the normal behavior). This could make it possible to use in MP without being too utterly ridiculous; it still isn't perfect, and I'll try to see if I can get the distance to another player, and reduce spawning frequency when you're nearby. To force a spawn, enter TsbForceSpawn. By default, this will spawn a random carset. This spawn occurs MUCH closer to the player, and can even occur onscreen. It will automatically have a blip added to it. It will still not delete a player or mission vehicle. TsbForceSpawn has one optional string argument. To spawn a specific carset, enter TsbForceSpawn *name*, where *name* is the name of that set in the INI file. Mod uploaded; awaiting approval.
  3. Not really a ripoff; it's a really common SWAT vehicle.

Rockstar can do whatever they want with vehicle paths; G17 can't.
  5. Probably, but there's an unlocked StreetHawk, and no unlocked Aerodynic. Also, this isn't the same exact version of the car; it's an LCPD RMP, not an LSPD black and white.
  6. Since when do corrections officers carry sidearms?
  7. cp702 replied to nat's topic in Discussion
...because the behavior when the other islands are blocked is built into GTA IV, while the devs have to hack it to get what they want?
  8. I know Sam has a non-ELS version on his old police Infernus model (look in his DLs; it's unlocked).
  9. ZModeler is required to work with GTA IV car models. 3ds max is required to work with all other GTA IV models. That's only for import/export from/to GTA, though. Other than that, you can easily go between the two. However, in general, people use ZModeler for cars, and 3ds for everything else. 3ds is typically considered easier to use, but if you're not modeling from scratch, it often isn't worth it to go back and forth.
  10. My keyboard has an extra =, (, and ) above the numpad, so I use those for the lights, and Pause/Break for the sirens. It works pretty well; I don't hit ELS keys when doing anything else.
  11. Um, I don't think you get this. His point is not that Canadians are wimps, because that is completely false (for two reasons: not supporting a war != being wimp, and one person != Canada). His point is that saying "You support this war, so pretty much your whole country is incredibly aggressive" is a BS argument.
  12. WTC had just about the best security of any office building in the country (keep in mind it was bombed in 1993). What else would you have had them do? Expect something that had never happened before? Keep in mind that before 9/11, hijackings were done, not to crash the plane into something, but to get hostages to hold either for ransom or for political reasons.
  13. It didn't crash, 0 people died, the whole issue was just that a USAF plane was even flying in the US with nukes aboard.
  14. @c13: Your comment sort of implies that Russia, Iran, China, India, and Pakistan are all allied. While many of them are, India and Pakistan are less allied than just about any other pair of countries on Earth. @Codz: Agreed.
  15. Or we could fund these guys so they are less likely to attack us. And if a nuclear war starts, especially between countries with many warheads (like, say, US and China), we're all fucked.
  16. Better idea: We try to not get into a war with Iran or China. By doing so, we save countless American lives.
  17. On the Borough Bridge, just past the toll booth on the Broker/Dukes side. There's a hill; I think cars are *programmed* to speed there.
  18. Whatever you want. However, the probability that the script will spawn *something* in a given tick is the TotalProbability value up top in the config. Selecting the specific set to spawn is like a raffle; with that analogy, the "Chances" value is how many "tickets" a particular set has. If you double the "Chances" for each set, it has no effect. If you increase the value for one set, all other sets have a lower probability of spawning. As long as you don't increase it too much, the effect is not too great.
  19. False. Are you thinking of Wikileaks? Because they have nothing at all to do with Wikipedia. EDIT: And stop all the double posting, please. EDIT 2: c13, could you put that huge list behind a spoiler tag, please?
  20. What's with the name of the topic?

  22. That's from before the newest version was released, though. You can download it from the GlovePIE site, and uploading it to a multi-scanner site showed no issue, but...still not the best of ideas. A definitely clean slightly older version (which still seems to have voice command) is at http://download.chip.eu/en/GlovePie-0.30_174835.html
