  1. Look in *gamedir*/common/data/carcols.dat. Find the entry that corresponds to the car you're replacing; it will probably say something like nstockade, 0, 0, 8, (by the way, is this replacing nstockade? just curious)What you want to do is replace these colors. IIRC, 113 is white (if you want to check, the top of the file is a list of colors), so you'd change the line to say nstockade, 113,113,113
  2. If they're the same model, they're probably the same template, though. Certainly for CVPI and 2006 Charger.
  3. Yes, you can. Export the textures from the car whose textures you want (follow the same process as to replace textures, but hit "export", not "import"), and then import them to the .wtd for the model you want.
  4. There are 2 general reasons why the sheriff might not patrol unincorporated areas: * In some places (like both St. Louis County and my county), there is a county police. The sheriff handles the jail, court security, service of process, enforcing court orders, etc., while the police handle everything else (think "like a city police, but for the whole county") * Alternatively, in places like Baltimore, MD, and St. Louis proper, the city is independent of the county. In this case, there is a city sheriff and a city police, so there *are* no unincorporated areas (sheriff still deals with the courts) Even if highway patrol or state police have the main responsibility for working traffic, local police can generally still enforce traffic laws on the interstate in their jurisdiction. For example, a Baltimore cop who happens to be on I-95 within Baltimore city limits can absolutely pull you over for speeding. Often, department policy says "don't actively patrol highways, spend your time elsewhere", but cops still have the *authority* to pull you over (so if a cash-strapped department decides to run traffic, they are fully within their authority) Also, doesn't California have statewide jurisdiction? I've always heard that any California police officer has full police powers anywhere in California (the only constraint is what their department lets them do).
  5. That's what he's doing... @alpfa: You should check out the IRC channel @gtaivnetscripthook on freenode. It's a great place to get scripting help.
  6. That's a retextured m_m_armoured (the armed security guy)
  7. Sniper: Is it worth learning to use Blender as well?
  8. I use 3ds max, but that's just because that's what I started with (I was already familiar with the students deal, because I need Inventor for my classes at school). I've heard very good things about Blender as well.
  9. I know. I'm hoping someone could make collisions, and if they could, LCPDFR could maybe be changed to use that.
  10. Just checked the video description page; the vehicle was apparently reported stolen.
  11. They may have seen something and put out an Officer Needs Help call.
  12. FYI, you posted it as a (small) image, not a video. Also, is there any way to really use the cutscene police station, or is it just bugged? Any map mods to connect pieces and add collisions and such? If so, that'd be better than using a lawyer's office (at least, I think so)
  13. There's really only one "police station" interior, and that's the lawyer's office. The red circle outside every police station is just a teleporter to there.
  14. The brake is nice in pursuits, and handbrake is good for rapidly turning around.
  15. I do this with my computer. It's awesome.
  16. You can easily change the lights on any car to all blue by editing emerglights_emis.png
  17. That will result in police2s spawning with only 1 cop in them, but it won't stop the normal 2-cop spawns. You'll just get a mix.
  18. You can use Ctrl+P to force on-duty status, meaning you don't have to change your ped model. Then, use a trainer or the console to spawn a police car, and you're set.
  19. Could you put your LCPD Tahoe with Liberty (I think it was the first or second Tahoe you released with Kevin's model) in that pack as well? It's basically the same setup, and it'd be nice to have it in the same download.
  20. That body armor is a clothing item for Niko (akin to his messenger bag, or to a road worker's safety vest). As a result, you can't really just put it on cops. Custo has a mod which includes a police officer with vest.
  21. My county has both, and I always wondered why they created a county police when there was already a sheriff.
  22. That's not the second version, it's the first.
  23. If you want livery number 4 to always show, just replace livery 1 with livery 4, and remove the +livery.
  24. I know that in general, SMPA60 errors happen when you have a vehicle in a saved garage space outside a hideout, and then install a car mod to that slot. I've been getting SMPA60 errors that don't fit that, though. I'm playing TBOGT, so there is only 1 hideout, and there are no conflicting cars saved there. I've still been getting the errors, though. Are there any other parking spaces in TBOGT, besides the ones outside the hideout?
  25. It's simple, but nice. It looks like something a real police department might use.
