Same. I live in Maryland, but I'm right on the border with DC.

Dumbfounded Creative: Project Oasis
Excited to see what you'll come up with. Would it help if we gave you pictures of regular patrol vehicles?

Really? Because only 3 posts have negative net rep. Two of them only have -1, and the third is which is not really what one might call a "productive contribution". EDIT: More important point: Don't worry about rep. It really doesn't matter (and the admins have come close to deleting it entirely several times).

Anybody have this cvpi?
Here's the release topic; there's a mirror link on page 2.

Lightbars that spawn randomly ?
ELM uses a completely different system than ELS. ELS uses vehicle extras, while ELM uses vehicle headlights (at least, that's what I've heard). The headlight system works very differently in IV and SA, since they're different games running on different engines. So, you can't just port ELM right over. Sam is working on the Illumination Mod, which would use some sort of script-generated lighting (like the spotlight mod), and that could work with multiple lightbars (though it would probably require special coding on his part). However, he's busy with LCPDFR, so...

Detective Ped
GTA is really specific about what textures get used for what meshes. What are the names of the textures you're using now?

Lightbars that spawn randomly ?
ELS cars can't spawn with random lightbars. The GTA system that lets cars spawn with random components is the same system that ELS uses to make the lights flash.

Legit?
Giving away millions of euros for free is, shockingly, a pretty terrible business model. And I hate to say it, but Slimory's bank account probably doesn't count as humanitarian aid.

AP Classes
Full disclosure: I'm a math/science kid who tends to do really well in school and on tests, so what's easy for me may not be easy for others. Also, I go to a math/science magnet, so the general opinions I hear tend to be skewed towards "the tests aren't that hard." That said, I don't find APs to be that hard. There are only five possible scores, so you can definitely get stuff wrong and still do well. Also, they are curved, so the cutoff for good scores can be really low on some tests (I think you can get a 5 on the Calc BC with about 70%). So it doesn't really matter how hard the test is on an absolute scale; a really hard test will have a generous curve. However, the test isn't the biggest thing to worry about. I'm not sure how it works at your school, but at mine, you can take an AP class and not take the test (and you can also self-study for an AP test without taking the class). AP classes can have a much higher workload (though it really depends on the teacher and the school), often cover a different curriculum (because the AP has a fixed curriculum, while the school doesn't), generally have more motivated students, sometimes have more motivated or better teachers (EXTREMELY school-dependent), and normally have a faster pace. My advice would be to not particularly worry about the test, but to ask friends about the class itself. For example, at my high school, AP English Language is an awesome course, much better than the normal 11th grade English class (which it replaces). It's taught by some of the best English teachers in the school, and you learn a TON. However, AP English Literature (which we can take instead of the 12th grade class) is a terrible class, with insanely high workload and a bad teacher. So, at my school, many people take Lang, but very few take Lit. It has nothing to do with the AP itself; it's just about the class and the teacher.

Legit?
I can literally send email as any address on the entire internet, by putting that address in a "from" header. While there are systems to try and make sure an email actually came from the domain it claims to be from(so an email I spoof would *probably* be immediately detected as spam), I'd be absolutely shocked if EVERY UK government website had that set up (just because of the sheer number of government systems).

Simple CVPI
Not sure how much lighting you want, but you could also look at Lt. Caine's mods on GPM.

[REQ] POV Vehicle (fairly easy)
Easy now. If I read this thread quickly, I'd think you were yelling at the OP, who has done nothing wrong.

The US has the best weaponry, so you're surprised no one has tried to invade? The US is *more* able to fend for itself than pretty much any other country in the world. A lot of the reason the defense budget is so big is that the US fends for both itself *and* a lot of other countries (for example, much of Japan's defense is provided by the USA). And social security and healthcare for senior citizens (the two biggest budget items by far). Not only are there very few countries that could easily invade, but one of them (Canada) is a really strong ally, one (Mexico) has internal problems, and one (Russia) would have to go across *Siberia*, which is probably enough to discourage anyone.

How To Be a Realistic Cop
It's not that they don't ram, it's that the presence or absence of pushbars doesn't have much to do with ramming. Also, this article goes into a lot of detail on pursuit policies.
-
Give the cops new guns
I guess you could probably replace all the shotgun data with carbine data, and effectively turn shotguns into rifles. That's an ugly option, though.
-
How To Be a Realistic Cop
IIRC, pushbars aren't really designed for ramming; they're designed to push disabled vehicles off the road. (keep in mind that a PIT uses the whole quarter panel, so a pushbar would have limited value there)
-
Give the cops new guns
Yes, they do. It's not just LA; rifles are relatively common police weapons these days (sometimes replacing shotguns).

ELS glitching
The sirens disappearing is because you're using non-ELS cars. The doors stuttering is a known bug in ELS, and can't be fixed.
-
Give the cops new guns
Custo is pretty much the god of modifying GTA data files (which is the type of mod you're talking about). If anyone knows how to do it, he probably does.

Why does the guy on the right have extra equipment?

In Maryland, you have to take a government class to graduate high school. I think that more states should have that requirement.
