  1. Russian wiki says otherwise, but OK, I'm wrong, you right, sorry for offending you! Anyway, I think if someone doesn't want to live in Ukraine and wants to live in Russia, he should move to Russia and not support a war against his home country.
  2. I don't think this may lead to a war, really. But for me it might be impossible to get back and continue studying in American university, and the same for the rest of Russians who don't hate America. My guess is that Putin would like to establish the Iron Curtain again.
  3. CNN is a cool source, but I referred to Wikipedia. I trust them much more.
  4. You damn right, I spent most part of my life there - hell, I'm even there right now! - and I don't get how could anyone want Russia to take over Ukraine. Corruption, hostility, governmental crimes, ex-KGB officer as a President...
  5. No, you're wrong. Only in Crimea there are more Russians than Ukrainians and there are very few Ukrainians who support Russian invasion and ripping their country apart. BTW, The Russian Federation Council requested the president to withdraw russian ambassador from the USA. They called the States The Empire of Lie. Those stupid ignorant old bastards.
  6. Are you calling the people's displeasure with corrupt Russian-controlled President a disgrace? Anyway Ukraine is a sovereign state and it's not Russian business what goes on where until it threatens its security.
  7. There are several friends of mine there - one in Kiev, two in Eastern Ukraine, one in Sevastopol, and they keep me updated on the situation. My guess that no war conflict is going to happen. The new Ukraine government is too weak - they've just pissed off the cops by dissolving Berkut squad, Ukraine Armed Forces can't withstand the russian Army in case of a long-term conflict, and of course no members of NATO gonna interfere there. So my guess is that, since on the 30th of March in Crimea is scheduled a referendum, they will ask Russia to accept Crimea in the country. Russia agrees, Crimea leaves Ukraine, finita.
  8. Just detain him and order to stand right there, why not?
  9. Nice-looking car, indeed! But ain't that too many lights?.. I'm so sorry that those time have passed when an unmarked unit looked like this... -snip-
  10. That... That was a non-ELS VSPI with functional warning lights and secondary lights, correct? Oo
  11. 1. About suspects update... Well, I can't speak for everyone, but most of my game sessions end within an hour with a game crashing :D So there's no way to save the game for me. Then, there are a lot of perps arrested in two weeks. Keeping information about all of them will really load the system. It's the same thing as with traffic stops: ped spawns out of nowhere with a random generated record - you fine him - his records are updated - but when he disappears from the game, the information about him disappears too. 2. I saw somewhere on this forum that animation for on-foot takedowns cannot be implemented in the game due to the engine limitations. Sam or Jay did a post about it, sadly. Authorization for PIT... Well, it sounds very nice, but in GTA, where AI constantly crashes into other cars, lampposts, trees, peds, and rams the suspect without any authorization. Plus, my chases are hardly long to wait for helicopter's actual appearing, they usually end in a few minutes. 3.Remembering the info about all perps is impossible for now for the reasons stated in 1. But I do agree about the warrants list, and I too would prefer to see ten-codes in the game. Hope this will be added, yeah
  12. So, I was in Bohan on a patrol. Not the safest place in Liberty, no doubt. But the call that amused me was a drunk driver. When I arrived, poor guy was riding back and forth near the same building where Roman was kept hostage - just in a few inches from the propane tanks. What could I possibly do? No shooting, 'cause there's no reason for. Can't just throw him out - what if he hits the tank just when I approach him? So I fenced off the area, called for FDLC and waited for a moment when BOOM! - instant death. Poor champ was evidently found DOA, car remains were towed away, and an injured officer was treated by LC EMS. Please, drive safely and remember to use a taxi. You may have to pay more than $20 for a drunk ride.
  13. Imagine what? I wrote it correctly, and have played for an hour or more even with the PoliceHelper installed, with no crashes! So you got my thanks again.
  14. Now, add to the bottom of that part PreloadAllModels=True The "Main" part should now look like this: Forgive me my dumbness, but does that mean there should be no space between "Models" and "=" ?! Did I tell anyone I'm an idiot? :D
  15. Well.. I'd say it's not a bug. A bug is when you're frisking someone your game crashes :D I too hate unrealistic AI behavior, and do my best to neutralize its results, like setting the amount of cars in pursuits to 1 and officers to 4 or 2. Then, when a chase is started, I immediately set via F8 the passive behavior. For now that's all that can help. And yeah, sometime I don't even call in a pursuit, when it's easier to get him myself as realistic as I want.
  16. Yeah, I thought the same... Or at least I thought close to that, so I removed PoliceHelper - other mods never caused any trouble, and I use them like 8 months or so. There was one nice game session yesterday with no crashes, and suddenly a few minutes ago I crashed in Broker during an ordinary chase but this time logfile had the following: Never saw that before
  17. So now it's my turn to post it. I use LCPDFR 1.0, VdhPH, Coroner, Tow Truck mod and Traffic Flow. Oh, and a strobe mod. Also use non-ELS police cars. Just a note - all the crashes occurred when PoliceHelper was not used, so I don't think it's caused by it, but who knows. Game crashes randomly, sometimes during an arrest, a traffic stop, a patrol. I can't figure out from the logs if it's LCPDFR-related. Looks like it tries to address to a something that doesn't exist and then crashes. I found that this may happen if the game fails to load the objects in time, and that in turn happens when the PC is low-power. I set preload models to TRUE, didn't help much. Specs are as following: Intel I7 3770 3,4 Ghz GeForce GTX 760 2 Gb 8 Ram Wind 7 Ultimate Game's not cracked, all the software for running GTA IV and mods is present.
  18. After playing 1.0 for a two weeks or so I suddenly realized, that something is removed. There used to be little phrases which could be toggled by hitting Num0, Num1, was nice during the pursuit and walking the beat. Readme called it 'a random terrifying phrase'. So, is that removed completely? :c
  19. Oh Looord, is that message really present in Ekalb's thread? Anyway, Ekalb, what do you think of making a non-els V-shaped LCPD-style Speedo, which go go with the Abraxas' megapack?

  21. No, GTA is not about pointlessly murdering people, since you brought up this point. Maybe the video has a few funny moments, but that kinda went unnoticed by me.
  22. Hmmm... I chased a sedan in Alderney with local police assistance a while ago. Driver bailed out and tried to outrun me, others got back in their car and took off. I followed and arrested the driver, then went to the location of other two guys only to see them being escorted to a patrol car. So they were cuffed when I was far away but taken in patrol car only in my presence...
