As with TrafficFlow, I also've been looking for solutions and found that one. I didn't try it myself for now, though.

I thinks, the cop is a really good person. I liked the way he was convincing the guy to give up, and for me it's obvious he didn't want to harm him. Then, when he saw a knife, he warned the guy multiple times, and that's really enough to realize you're facing an armed cop and you actually shouldn't, so that wasn't a 'LAPD style' shooting. I do thinks this was justified. However, I was always asking myself, why can't officers just give him one in the leg, or otherwise make not a lethal shot?.. Is there any kind of instruction for this?

Nice videos, really. I do like this Astra car, it's so neat! BTW, what's gonna a British patrol officer do if he encounters a criminal, armed&dangerous, with only baton and a taser? Oh, and why don't you user PoliceHelper to call for ambulance? It usually arrives in time and paramedics drive more accurate.

Ekalb, I saw in some thread you said something about releasing some EVCS-cars. Is that something you're have in mind or just a general possibility?

Don't you consider making some other clips showing nice police teamwork, drug rads or whatever? Actually, Abraxas in his PoliceHelper managed to teach drivers some basics, calling EMS via PH is much better for me... They even use next lane when their lane is occupied by stopped traffic. Although they do compensate their driving skills by lack of medical skills, since vics tend to die more often when serviced by paramedics called via PH :D

How can a crime be justified? That's not an officer using lethal force, that's a murder.. I wander if the shooter was examined by psychologists before getting a gun permit, or - actually - was the examination fair. I'm afraid that police may try to wrap up this story, they don't like to but cops and ex-cops behind the bars.

Owing any equipment that is not restricted by the law is a constitutional right of any person. I don't see how any of these (Crownvic, amber lights, radio, radar (providing it is NOT illegal to have one) - is restricted. I can have a plastic souvenir sheriff badge, and it's fine, unless I harass people on the street telling them that I'm the law and they should obey my orders.

I usually patrol a dangerous neighborhood, Bohan or Hove Beach at night, watch for traffic offenders. In those areas a regular traffic stop leads to massive shoot-outs. Also I harass homeless people, discriminate aliens and search people for excessive cellphone usage near police officer...

Well, giving officers some powerful firearms doesn't mean they'll use them to shoot down a bus or two of innocent civs. Some cituations really require some firepower. Does anybody remember North-Hollywood shootout? How many officers had been injured cause Glocks were unable to overpower the perps? BTW, LAPD was issued rifles after that incident... Russian Road patrol and some street patrol are often equipped with assault rifles, AK-74, military issue. Not that it causes something wrong.

Сorrect me if I'm wrong, but the prisons are for those who already have been prosecuted and sentenced, while patrol cops bring arrested persons to the station to process them. After that those who are subjects to criminal prosecution remain in another place, and are only transgerred to correctional facilities after trial... That would be cool to add prisoner transport missions or fugitive-search tasks, though

If I got the article correct, student was wondering why Santa is always white, and never black, and the teacher replied that Sants is who he is. He didn't deny student's rights to dress like Santa or whatever. For me, Santa is who he is too. Everyone, girls, boys, Africans, Caucasians, can dress like a rabbit, but that won't make them rabbits. Every one can dress like Santa, but that won't make them Santa.

I'm not American, so can someone explain why this is rasim? Santa is white, after all. If the teacher wanted to offend the kid, that's the other story, and that's a harassment, no doubt.

As I see, many people believe LAPD cops are just keen of shooting... I'll try to see this from the different point of view, using an example. On this Friday in Moscow, Russia, plainclothes police set up an ambush on a group of blackmailers, and local McDonalds was chosen for a place. When suspects were sitting with a victim, officers approached them. Turned out guys were armed. As a result, two police officers are dead. Police spokesman said that "officers carried no weapons, because in a crowded place like McDonalds they could harm someobody." I don't know why they had no weapons or why they didn't use it. But there were two dead people on the scene as a result. Here there's a driver (and I don't know how is he injured or was he alone) and the suspect. Only one innocent person was hurt by this criminal and if anyone asks me, I'd say that's enough. That guy, he didn't try to give up even after ramming other people, he was going to run instead. Of course, I hope he's alive, but I see this as a justified case of shooting.

Well, people of LS should have learned something about yielding to siren for 60 years :) I dislike only when oncoming traffic sometimes make a move to your direction when using siren. But IMO it was awful in IV when drivers left their cars after firing shots near them. Why would anyone try to escape the dangerous place on foot, if you have a car and he fires not at you?.. In V I saw them getting away as fast as possible, and I like that.

Glad there still are people who are displeased by such opinions. For example, in Russia maybe more than half people would agree over it, and won't call the police if their car was stolen.

By the way, do cops still arrest random NPC's? All what I've seen is firefights so far.
