  1. If you don't mind me asking, what's that?
  2. No, not in Russia. At least in today's Russia. It will only enrage people even more. Now some persons being known as gays are fired, treatened, harassed or even murdered. First place that will registaer a same-sex marriage will be burnt to ashes and first same-sex couple will be killed on the spot or at least arrested. It may be good in some other countries but not here and not today.
  3. Don't forget that there are Sheriff depts in some cities. For example, in the city of Baltimore exists the office of Baltimore Sheriff, who's responsible of the enforcement of court decisions, serving warrants, protecting courts and so on. They do not police the city, though.
  4. I do like the ending if L.A. Noire. It gives that bitter taste of injustice and sorrow, not like all those heroic-happy-ends in many games. The closed coffin with the service cap, crying ladies, and those corrupt bastards giving thankful speeches... Almost like in Kubrick's 'Chinatown' - I mean the atmosphere.
  5. The white one is definitely nice! I always wanted to see a LSSD Granger in white livery...
  6. Well, I'd ask that if I knew any of those people) I'm very far from that mod myself, so I'm not familiar with its modders...
  7. Really touching. Being a police force in Detroit, a bankrupt city, with a high crime rate, they still managed to find time and resources to organize this event. Of course, that's done for PR, but I don't care, since those officers were sincerely and really did their best to make this kid feel good. I pray for this kid to be able to overcome his disease and one day, when he's 40 or 50, remember how was it when he was 9 year old, how he was a chief of police and it all was made specially for him...
  8. Hello everyone! Guess topic says it all, but still - a friend of mine is looking for a model of a police car from 40's, 50's or 60's for that thing, Garry's Mod, whatever it may be. He already searched some, but guess he failed to discover something looking realistic and of a decent quality. Thanks anyone who could suggest some ideas!
  9. And that's nothing good at all in the way ''how it works in Norway". A prison, apart from being a punishment, is supposed to help offenders improve theselves. Mr. Breivik, being a mass-murderer and a terrorist, enjoys a comfortable life in prison, speaks to reporters and complains about his coffee being cold and butter is not enough. What happens when Mr. Breivik does his time? He gets out, being world-famous, proud, and heroic. He gives even more interviews, participates in shows, explains his actions. And it may become clear for everyone that in Norway, if you dislike something, you can take a rifle and kill anyone you dislike. You're not going to be punished for this. You'll have a nice clean room with coffee and butter and press attention, because you're a human and have your dignity. Personally I hope you will never encounter such a man, but who knows? Just don't forget to tell a killer that his victim is a human too. That's why I think Tsarnaev should be put in prison for life. To protect society and give him enough time to realize that he did. Death is unnecessary fast way for him to go. Sorry if I offended anyone.

  11. Have to partially agree with you, some time ago I saw a thread about some guy on the YouTube who made bad comments to videos, and was like 'Who the hell ever needs to post that here?..' But anyway, this section of forum is for random discussions, and, after all, house fire is an emergency, which in turn is connected with fire dept's and PD work, which, again, this community is about.

  13. Are you still looking for speed bumps? There are some in the underground parking lot in Algonquin, why don't you use this model?
  14. Nobody cares about him indeed (apart from his producer perhaps), but who needs even more injured bystanders? I wonder what Lamborghini might do to an ordinary sedan.
  15. Some other unlucky guy might catch a few bullets for this, the LAPD way, or at least get tazered. But not some celebrity, sure...

  18. Well, maybe Franklin is the best for me. I don't like to kill people so I never use Trevor's ability, Michael's one I just never needed, but I hate crashing my car, and that's when Franklin comes to help.
  19. Armored Truck Robbery, like in Dead Presidents movie. Robbers may hijack the truck, which better be stopped without blowing it up, or they may simply escape in their cars. A murder, plain and simple. Wrote something like that in LCPDFR suggestions section. And the there're some interiors in GTA which may be used, like that apartment in Holland Heights. Arriving on domestic disturbance call, you may find some partying people, or a group of drug dealers, or a person who's need medical attention...
  20. Yeah, a race would be nice to stop, but you'd have to teach NPC how to race first, or a minute after start they all will park into a bus or something.
  21. Oh Lord, AST and ACPD! Any chance of LCPA police version?

  23. I'm still wondering about some investigative aspects... Imagine: you got the call on the murder scene. When you arrive, you see a body (or a wounded person, it may depend), and maybe a few witnesses. You must secure the area, then you must take care of the victim, and then you may search the area. If you lucky, you may find a knife or a gun in a dumpster, which you can collect. You also can ask the witnesses, like you usually do: 1. Investigate the suspect 2.Check ID 3. And here, only in case of this callout, may be some dialog options with simple answers. Like "Did you see it?" "Yes" "Can you describe the suspect?" "yes [a random, not too detailed, description]" Then you can bring evidence and witnesses to the station. After leaving the station, there's a random chance you'll have a location marked where a killer may be. You arrive there, there may be a suspect, may be an aggressive gang, or no one at all, but some evidence left. Or the same, but witness describe a car instead of a person, and if this car is located, there may be some evidence in the trunk. I don't know if it really possible or is anyone interested in such a thing, but... Looks nice to me, at least
