  1. Hi everyone, today I spent about 20 minutes making up a cute police vehicle spawn setup at an LSPD police station. I'm doing it at the Vespucci Beach station that has a mini garage, since the game never spawns cars there by default, which is better since it wont interfere with my spawns. I carefully loaded each vehicle into a Save Slot in the Trainer after carefully parking each one neatly. I used 7 slots, I figured I wouldn't do any more until I tested it and knew it worked. I drive back to the station and attempt to load them all with the "Load all vehicles at original location" in the trainer, and none of them spawn. Instead a single car will spawn right next to my character. Is there a way to do this? I think I'm doing it wrong. I just simply want to have a bunch of cars at a Police Station that spawn there every time, in the exact location where I choose to place the vehicle. I remember in GTA IV it always worked, and I don't think I'm doing it any differently.
  2. I remember I once looked into this for GTA IV, along with Iconography, we never found a solution and determined that it was hard coded into the game. The same probably applies to GTA V. I don't think it's easily accessible.
  3. In my opinion, R* has already parodied modern society perfectly. It'd be amazing to see what they could do now, with a Vice City set in the 1980's. Imagine having an old tube TV in your in-game apartment, boxy and big, poor picture quality, watching a spoof of Miami Vice? Imagine having a chunky cellphone that has limited functionality? Imagine if they incorporated the GTA Chinatown Wars drug-dealing side mission, which would fit perfectly in the drug infested 1980's? With RAGE, and some of the features the more recent GTA games have featured, it'd be amazing to see it put to use in a game that isn't set in modern times. Along with the ability to produce an amazing soundtrack, featuring famous 80's tracks, it would seem like the perfect thing for R* to do. I would personally be really disappointed if GTA VI was set in Vice City modern times, for these reasons. We've already seen the 80's, yes, but not in the level of detail that the newer GTA games had with in-game TV and such.
  4. That's with the assumption that the next GTA will even have a single player mode. It'd be hard to mod a MMO. As of late R* have only been developing DLC for the abomination that is GTA Online, and likely wont release any DLC for single player. The next GTA could be an MMO, and that's assuming R* have lost their minds and their way of tradition, which they're already changing. It's concerning, but we'll have to wait and see. It will be the death of our modding community if that turns out to be true, at least I think. R* has already banned/threatened to sue the FiveM mod creators, which is simply outrageous. It seems like they're turning into EA. Focusing less on SP and more on Multiplayer will be the death of SP, or at least the quality. I'm surprised there hasn't been more of a concern from the gaming community. I suppose everyone is too distracted by the so called "DLC" that just mostly includes million dollar vehicles to encourage more grinding. I really miss the quality DLC episodes R* used to be noted for. Anyway, enough of my babbling. I personally believe the next GTA will be set in Vice City. If not, I believe it will have multiple cities to travel between, including Vice City, as R* have stated interest in doing before. They can be unpredictable, so we wont know until it's official. I remember everyone was expecting GTA V to be set in Vice City, simply because the GTA 3 era went in the order of: Liberty City, to Vice City, to San Andreas. That never turned out to be true.
Fargo! I was wondering if someone was going to make this...
  5. Thanks for the response. I do remember that light toy. Even though I was born in 1997 I believe those were still common in the early 00's! In regards to frame rate, I have a Titan X. It won't run 4k games at 60 fps but it can do around 30-40 which is good enough for me. So I can definitely drive the monitor. It looks like I'll be getting it since you said you don't feel a difference with 5ms. Thanks again.
  6. Hey everyone, Lately I've been searching to replace my 2-year-old 1080p 28-inch Asus monitor. It's been flickering at the top of the screen and is somewhat unpleasant, especially during games. So I figured it's a good excuse to replace it. I've been looking at 4K monitors. Most of them are either too expensive, or simply not the quality that I'm looking for. I know for a fact that I want to stick with the Asus brand. I was looking at this 4K monitor, but it's way to expensive for me. http://www.amazon.com/PA328Q-3840x2160-DisplayPort-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00YWD9ZZM/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8 Now there is a cheaper 2K version of that exact monitor. Which is more than half the price, something I'm more than willing to pay. http://www.amazon.com/PB328Q-2560x1440-DisplayPort-Ergonomic-Back-lit/dp/B00XI4PAD2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1446390697&sr=8-1&keywords=Asus+PB32Q I think I want to go with this monitor because it's huge, 32 inches to be exact, and it will fell like an upgrade as opposed to getting another 28-inch monitor, 4K or not. It's also incredibly slim and beautiful, and 1440 is a decent upgrade over 1080. The only problem is, I don't know if it's good for gaming. Some reviews on it stated that it's side lit, not back lit, resulting in ghosting and trails. Making it not good for any First Person Shooters. A response to this comment told the person to turn off VividPixel, which fixes this issue and makes the monitor shine. I don't know how true this is. Here is the negative review in question. All other reviews were mostly positive, but none of them mentioned gaming: http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R3MOD9VHHH14LJ/ref=cm_cr_pr_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00XI4PAD2 The monitor's response time is 4 ms. I don't know if that acceptable for gaming either. Here's the specs of the monitor: http://www.meetgadget.com/gadget/73534/ASUS+PB328Q There it states that it is in fact back-lit, so I have no idea. If anyone has any knowledge about monitors in general and could tell me if this monitor is okay, please let me know. I really don't want to spend $500 on a monitor that won't be good for moderate-heavy gaming and general web surfing. The problem with this monitor is that I can't find any reviews about it online, other than Amazon. Additionally: Is there a noticeable difference between 1080 and 1440? Just curious. I know it wont be as big as difference like 4K, but will it still be something? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Nick
  7. I know it's a bit late in the day, but today is Back to The Future day. I had to post this. Today is basically the exact day Marty McFly and Doc Brown were in 2015. USA today released a remastered version of the newspaper article from the movie: And they also changed the official website logo on usatoday.com to the futuristic style from the movie (top right of website). Basically the original version in the movie was the same body of text repeating over and over, so they remastered it. "Only the top half of the cover was remade to be featured in the movie. The bottom half of the paper was never featured in the movie and was just old content that happened to be left over from an old version of USA Today. We worked with Universal and Bob Gale to update the bottom half and add content that was relevant and cohesive as our way to finish the story and punctuate this moment." I've waited for this day a long time, and it's finally here. It's hard to believe. Happy Back to The Future day!
  8. @OP: Okay, you wont believe what I found. I think I actually think I found a 2011 LAPD CVPI. You have no idea how rare this is, I've been searching for years. I'm not 100% positive though, but the car all the way to the right in this picture looks like a 2011 (based on the headrests which you can barely make out). If this is in fact a 2011, it's very very rare and I'd say it might be one in a few. Since... going by my logic... if there's at least one, there has to be more. https://flic.kr/p/oHV8CE
  9. Yeah. I agree with you on the engine. Though the 365 HP Ecoboost should be fine, it makes about just as much power as the 5.0 V8 (and it's been proven that the Ecoboost is better for towing) but it has to work harder since it's a V6. It sucks down gas and it acts somewhat sluggish in reality, while on paper it's supposed to be similar performance.
  10. Yeah. When the redesigned Crown Victoria came out in 1998, people were probably saying "Hey, that doesn't look like a cop car!", "Those look weird! I don't like it!" and so on. But look what happened, it become a huge symbol of law enforcement, and is probably one of the most famous and iconic vehicles ever created. I don't think the same will happen with the Explorer, simply because it's not used in Taxi fleets and other industries like the Crown Victoria was. At least not yet. But even then, it doesn't have an outdated, distinguished styling that made the Crown Victoria stand out - even when they were still new it was considered a 13-year-old design.
