  1. There aren't alot of LAPD ones, so that will take some searching. Here is the "Ultimate NYPD Uniforms mod" : http://www.gtaforums...howtopic=409296 (Download Links are on the bottom)
  2. From what I know, it could possible, but only if the values were ridiculously high or were near impossible for the game to execute. So it must be something on your part... Are you sure you replaced the correct line? Did you restore the handling line file to an older version and then launch the game? Maybe it's some other modification you installed that's causing this. To be honest, I have no idea.
  3. Go to your ELS settings file (.ini) and scroll down to [Global Values] Under that, go down to: Range_LightsF = X // Range of headlight environment lights Intens_LightsF = X // Intensity headlight environment lights Range_LightsP = X // Range of primary environment lights Intens_LightsP = X // Intensity of primary environment lights After the "=" , place the value you want. The larger the number, the larger the value is for intensity/range. Note: Changing the headlight values affects the take down lights on the vehicle. For example, the range and intensity of the spotlight. You may also change the color of the reflections in the ELS configuraton file. For the intensity of the primary environment lights, I would recommend values between 4 and 7. It all depends on you, but anything less/more wouldn't be as realistic. Anything above 7 or 8 can be too bright during the day/night, and anything less than 4 would be too dull. It all depends on what you want, those are just my recommendations.
  4. That would be great! Thanks! Maybe you could just speed up the yelp for the 3rd tone. But if you could do that, it would be great!
  5. Those are close, maybe I could even combine that Wail with the Yelp I have now. Then it would be very close.
  6. I did hear them on some of the NYPD Police Cars from the late 90's, but when I search it, the only thing that comes up is the Mark 7 or Mark 9 sirens.
  7. Hi guys, I have no idea if this is in the right section, but it is pretty random. So I hope it is in the right place. Anyways, for years this has been annoying me. There are these really cool sirens, I hear them sometimes on the TV Show SouthLAnd once and a while, and even on a few Youtube videos. I have searched several Siren Manufacturing websites with no luck, so I was hoping that some of you siren experienced members could help me out. All the youtube videos that had them did not feature a link to where I could download them. Here are the two videos I know of that have them. *The first video can be heard better since there is no music in the background.* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Anr4X2VX6BE&feature=plcp&context=C3a2aea2UDOEgsToPDskJyKgZSDyk8-AcHU4kAnTX1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AXn3IxfGdQ&feature=plcp&context=C3f309d0UDOEgsToPDskKQc5jGHSA_rEGss0nYW4rj I looked at all the comments in the videos, with other people wanting them too. Only with the uploader not really listening; telling them that he uploaded them to a website (which he did not, I looked). So does anyone know the name of these sirens? Like Federal Signal _______, or Whelen _______, Motorola_______, etc... If not, would anyone be willing to make these sirens work with GTA IV (using Audcity or another sound editing program)? If so, I had a friend rip these out from the video (without the music). http://www.g1boy.com/test/siren.zip If you could do that, the only thing you would have to do is seperate the Wail and the Yelp, and make sure that the Wail starts going down, not upward like most sirens. Thank you fellow LCPDFR members!
  8. I usually use A-01 or A-02 for any Police Cars that have Light Bars or Beacos (like NYPD). I have a NYPD Fleet in GTA IV, and a LAPD Fleet in EFLC. A-01 and A-02 are the best, as the environmental reflections don't gave me a headache. It's also a good balance between Red and Blue (LAPD) and Red and White (NYPD). The other ones give me purple reflections, which I'm not a fan of. For undercover cars, like the LAPD Gang Unit, I use A-04.
  9. For some reason, I can't replace them seperately. I have to replace the whole ivaud file.(I'm using Spark IV).
  10. You need an ASI loader. The LCPDFR installer should of gave you the option to install it.
  11. Last time I did that, it told me that there is an "invalid resource detected" and to reinstall the game. So I was forced to use original settings.
  12. Yeah, it is. Just go the Display Settings on the pause menu, and look for Noise Effect On/Off. It can be hard to spot at first.
  13. Well, the Lost and Damned can be cleared up by going to the display menu and turning off the Noise Effect. This will remove the grains you notice on the screen.
  14. From my experience, EFLC has more Cop models to choose from, has more cop cars: a Police Buffalo, Police Stinger, Police Bike, Police W, and an APC (if that counts as a Police Vehicle). I personaly found EFLC to be far more stable than GTA IV (less crashes, freezing, bugs, etc...) So all in all, I would go with EFLC, but that's just my opinion. I can't think of any reasons on why you should play GTA IV instead.
  15. I have a little Canadian in me (35%), but I don't live in Canada.
  16. I love Crown Vics, and I don't think I'm the only one who got a tear in the eye when I found out Ford was going to stop making them.
  17. I have the same problem. My game even crashed a couple times when using the tazer.
