  1. I wonder if things might be set up the same way as GTAIV when it comes to what model names can be used as emergency vehicles. I swear I saw someone already run into that problem when adding a new vehicle, but I'm not sure where that was.
  2. They were putting the LS map into IV before the V PC even came out, so it's possible. Props, cars, and peds will be more clues if we could see them well enough.
  3. Ah, is it? I thought it looked weird, but maybe it was GTAV on low settings or something.
  4. I saw a screen of a Highway Patrol edit for the Interceptor over at GTA5 Mods in the Improved SAHP mod, so it'd be possible.
  5. Should look at finding a Los Angeles CHP patch, though it appears the design with Eureka is the only one I see (I wonder why Eureka).
  6. Very nice looking. Is it a reskin or new vehicle like the LSSD chopper? Changing the peds would be easy, but for the rest a new vehicle would probably need to be added to the game and to the relevant files to get it to spawn at whatever wanted level so desired. Depending on whether the ocean (or the Alamo sea, though do Predators spawn there at all?) has it's own zone, it may or may not be possible to change who responds where. I say the LSPD should respond a little lighter armed, and the USCG should get the heavier stuff.
  7. According to Sam, LSPDFR might include that.
  8. Which might be one reason why someone made the new ones. A little more brightness to the new LEDs would be better, though.
  9. Yep, something like that ain't worth nothing until we see that it works on both sides correctly. Huh, is that a replacement texture for a vest or does a traffic vest exist as an option in the first place?
  10. Seemed logical to assume that, though I can't think that it would disagree with single-player just because of that. But if changing the ped model fixed it...
  11. I wonder if that mp prefix means multiplayer, and if singleplayer doesn't like it if so.
  12. I occasionally saw cars without a lightbar which I assumed was just a glitch, but nice to see it turned into a feature. Too bad it can't be the unmarked light setup, though.
  13. Check out the video. It's quite nice.
  14. It's possible somewhere that the stepboard feature is required on a vehicle in order to spawn SWAT, though they work fine with helicopters apparently. So, something is buried in one file or another that ma control it. Yard, have you tested all the vehicles with SWAT? What happens when it tries to spawn them? Crash? Empty car? No spawn at all?
  15. Suggestions on the Loadouts: a version with limited ammo for main weapons with an unlimited sidearm, or no unlimited ammo at all. Perhaps add tasers?
  16. Nice to see that modding that file works out like I had hoped, and looking forward to checking out what you did in it. The one thing I was worried about was that the Annihilator wouldn't work out for rappelling SWAT, which I assume you used it for. Any issues?
  17. I don't think the SWAT officers have any markings other than "POLICE", so they technically work for any agencies.
  18. Are some of those deputies wearing hats? I've never seen that (granted, I've still only played it on the 360). Also did not know that the LASD actually wore those hats.
  19. I just kind of hate the air control and ability to flip your car back over. Really takes the fun out of screwing up and having to crawl out of a flipped vehicle.
  20. Probably because the stability is never guaranteed, but that was par for the course with IV. It still seems that constantly enabling and disabling of vehicle parts would be something the engine was never really meant to handle.
  21. Still, a lot of empty space doesn't automatically equal a lot of use-able space.
  22. Source on that?
  23. Well, they each have an object model entry, a roadcone model or spikestrip. There's only one entry, and I don't know what trying to add another would do.
  24. Yeah. They didn't make a Countryside entry, with say the Sheriff SUV, for the spikestrip roadblock, so that's why the LSPD van and officer spawn all over the map. I added an additional roadblock set that will use the SUV and Van, and also have three different spikestrip roadblocks set up the same way: patrol cars, SUV/VAN, and Riot.
  25. Maybe they're just too poor to afford their own department.
