Looking at the police setup, the lightbar setup only uses 8 lights, two of which are headlight hideaways which would probably get shared with the slicktop setup, so that leaves another 10, (I believe 2 are planned as wigwags in the near future). There is some talk about some of @11john11's lightbar work being integrated which might change things with how many lights are used, but I don't think anything is finalized. Honestly, I hope eventually all vehicles will use each of the 20 available lights with as many coronas as possible to get the best working and looking setups without needing ELS. Well, considering all upcoming unmarked vehicles save the Premier are already mapped for marked variants, it could be a possibility, but they probably won't be mapped in their inclusion in RDE itself. If they see separate releases on their own, it's possible, but I don't know of those plans.

Unless you use Custom Backup, there's no zone support for anything but LS, LS County, Blaine County, and North Yankton. Custom Backup allows much more zone control, and a settings file for it is also included in RDE3.0, along with one for the default LSPDFR system.

Spawned Gta Online cars despawning in Single Player
Back with lowriders2, R* added some script to delete GTAO vehicles if they were spawned in GTAV because they're greedy jerks (or didn't want leaks of upcoming content). Check around on gta5mods for workaround mods, there's at least one.

It'd be up to @NefariousBonne, but it's pretty feasible with a little work. Changing the current Stainer lights back into two extras setups like default, but one with the LED bar and one with the slicktop setup.

Australian "Fake News". So it seems like they didn't even ask for permission to use the clips shown. There's got to be a valid complaint to be filed with some media watchdog somewhere, or even IP claims, especially since they misrepresented the videos. I mean, you do deserve a trip to a CIA black site for some hydotherapy for that, at least.

If you're using the Sheriff addon, you'll have to use the vehicles.meta in dlc_patch/rdesheriff, or at least it would be the best place. Otherwise, using the one in the RDE rpf should work fine. Also, try this entry:

Rockstar updated the vehicles.meta entry for those vehicles since the release, so that was the issue with those vehicles.

Can someone explain carvariation lines to me, please?
As others have said, those numbers correspond to color values in the game. The value order goes like this: primary color, secondary color, overcoat, wheel color.

Do you mean when you go on duty at a station? I don't think LSPDFR allows added peds and vehicles in that system yet.

Question about RDE mod
Most vehicles only have one lighting setup, and it isn't a switchable component. The SAHP Stainer (hwaycar2), and LSIA Stainer (policelsia) are the only ones with two components to choose from. Los Santos County vehicles with the BCSO addon are lssheriff, lssheriff2, lssheriff3, lssheriff4, sheriffinsurgent2, sheriffriot2, sheriffmav2. If you mean the peds, s_f(m)_y_sheriff_02 for deputies and s_m_y_seb_02 for SWAT.

Forcing a vehicle to spawn with a certain wheel
Probably have to set a modkit for the vehicle with those wheels, and set it the spawn in carvariations. Far beyond my knowledge, though.

Not sure about the issue with prop_head, but the LSPDFR API doesn't work correctly with comp_tasks currently.

Sounds like something to do with EUP. The LSPD detective in RDE is a ped model (s_m_m_dick_01), not components for the MP characters.

carvariations and meta files question
For all release vehicles, files are as follows: Vehicles.meta is in update.rpf/common/data/levels/gta5 carvariations.ymt is in x64a.rpf/data, but cannot be viewed or edited yet. Add an entry to one of the DLC files and it will be used instead.

Police 2 Editing
The vehicles.meta file is the main update/common/data/levels/gta5. The carvariations.ymt file for ALL non-DLC vehicles is unreadable for now; you'll have to add a new entry to any of the carvariations.meta files from any DLC archive.

Adding livery support to stock cars
There definitely is something you have to do with setting up a model to be set to reference multiple textures like that. Should be a tutorial somewhere around, if not on this site.

Anyone know if and where GTA5 crash dumps are? I've got an idea of how to diagnose this, but I need to get a crash dump of when I have the error and I can't seem to track one down. Edit: Alright, I have no idea what I'm doing with this method...
