  1. @Albo1125 Pretty sure I don't have any other plugins or scripts that should be affecting them, but may need to look into the persistence of coroner vehicles; I see them driving around long after and away from scenes I've called them to. Also, if you can make it so they only use emergency lights on-scene, it would help with traffic issues when they're responding or leaving.
  2. Sadly, there's not much info available about editing ped ymts; hopefully there's people out there looking into it more so that changes in the future.
  3. Yeah, I've noticed this with other vehicles, even towtrucks, and they also seem to affect traffic, too, at times. I thought maybe removing relevant flags or making sure it wasn't set in the emergency category in the meta entry would do something, but no luck. That would disable the lighting on the vehicle.
  4. @Eddlm made a sound swap script that can help. It's mainly to allow you to use the audionamehash to set the siren sound you want for an emergency vehicle, and then use the script to swap the vehicles sounds to a civilian model's set, but it also disables the radio in the police vehicles that are swapped in the script. I don't think it adds the ambient emergency radio sounds afterwards, though. https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/auto-engine-sound-swapper
  5. Not entirely accurate, because carvariations.ymt has been decrypted and can be edited and used, but OpenIV doesn't do so natively. You'd have to track down a mod that includes the file, but the suggestion about adding an entry to a dlcpack is the easiest if that's all you want to change.
  6. Though one thing to keep in mind is the benefit the AI gets when it passes the distance where traffic populates for you: they don't have to navigate around traffic like the player has to. Improving their ability to negotiate actual traffic would be a huge change, of course.
  7. I see those places as no more than livery options that could be used with vehicles and the Livery Script (ped textures could be added but that would require someone who knows how to add texture variations in the ymts first), but I doubt they'll ever be an official part of RDE.
  8. Haven't played in quite a while, but as far as I remember, that's how it already works. I know that Albo's LSPFDR+ mod has an option that specifically blocks ambient cops from being added to pursuits because of that.
  9. update.rpf/x64/rde, both models and meta files.
  10. Just like any other addon vehicles, just take the model files and data file entries from RDE and place them in another dlc pack.
  11. Hopefully we'll get another peek before the end of April. The feature will just add the ability to place ped and vehicle spawn points, map editing is something that will have to be done through other methods.
  12. It's being overridden by the file in update.rpf/dlc_patch/mpluxe/common/data, use that instead.
  13. So far, the one idea is that having too many additional RPFs loaded by the game causes that error, so it's surprising just removing RPH helped.
  14. Rangers only respond at 1-2 stars since they lack body armor to use Depends on the config you chose, I don't think the Army was included as the default config unless you are in armored or armed vehicles. I think that's purely the realm of @11john11.
  15. Speaking of driving issues, suspect fleeing AI could use a lot of improvement in two ways: slowing them down when they get far enough away from the player since they don't have to deal with avoiding traffic like they would at close range and like the player does, and otherwise making them more able to overtake other vehicles instead of getting stuck behind or besides them.
  16. LSPDFR will not be multiplayer until R* or Take2 unlocks their walled garden or gives their blessing to a separate 3rd-party ecosystem. I wouldn't hold my breath.
  17. Try an updated gameconfig first off: https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/gameconfig-xml-dilapidated The ERR_FIL_PACK_1 error seems mostly connected to too many rpfs being loaded by the game (it could also be certain data files are outdated because of game updates since the last release). Not too much in known about it still, but some consolidation will happen for the next update to see if that helps the issue.
  18. A far smarter decision than the mainstream media or politicians are capable of.
  19. I'm not responsible for other people's ignorant assumptions, bub. But hey, next time heavily-armed terrorists run through your baguette-scented streets, you can feel safe knowing that no one has the right to own a tool designed to "kill people".
  20. Ya know, the most disgusting thing to me, about this event and others like it, is it's all about "duh ebil guhnz", but never about the one thing that would have actually prevented it: caring about and helping overcome the social, mental, and emotional issues suffered by the young man. People most likely knew this kid had issues his entire life, but no one cared. Society doesn't really give a shit about the issues of boys and men; usually they just kill themselves, but with enough untreated anger, hatred, resentment, and drive to "make people remember", these things happen. Maybe once society starts caring for them, helps them work through the issues they face, stops laughing at them, berating them, and coming up with endless pejoratives for them, this trend might reverse.
  21. I love when idiots assume that I own or even plan on owning a gun when I argue for them. Really shows the small-minded bigotry of the average anti-gun nut, if believing "shooting someone over a cup of sugar" is a thing or that people just want to "be judge, jury and executioner all at once" weren't enough already. No, I nailed it pretty well.
  22. I really find it hard to believe you're even old enough to have a driver's license. Don't bother responding, you're not worth the effort to continue this.
  23. "Excuse me, Mr Violent Home Intruder? Mind if I get a jury of your peers in here to decide if I can defend myself before you brutally murder me?" Fuck that, the only thing that determines punishment there are at least six little bangy bois. This anti-individual mindset is why I'd never move out of the US.
  24. As always, I eagerly await a proposed solution that doesn't infringe the constitutional rights of law-abiding citizens who have never and will never unjustifiably use a weapon to harm another person.
  25. In ResponseLocations.xml, MinQueue and MaxQueue control the numbers of vehicles that can spawn for each group at each wanted level (this doesn't stop more vehicles from spawning if you change groups, though), and in SixStarResponse.ini, you can use the"MaxResponse_#Star" values to limit how many total vehicles at each level. Also, you can lower some of the larger vehicles (SWAT types) ped numbers to have a few less people by finding their entries in ResponseVehicles.xml and changing the "Passengers" values.
