  2. Go to your main GTA IV folder. Find advancedhook.dll and delete it. Also delete dsound.dll or xlive.dll (or both if you find both in there). Then re-install the mod, remembering to right click the installer and select run as admin. Your asi loader does not appear to be working at all. When you install the mod, make sure to select ONLY one asi loader (EITHER dsound or Xlive, not both). It says you are using xlive, so you can stick with xlive if you so desire.
  3. Press edit, then go to use full editor. Edit title. Done. @Thread I'm sure the developers will find a way to reduce the aggressiveness, somehow. Maybe just alter the speed they like to drive at? Could be a temporary workaround perhaps. Who knows.
  4. This. No matter what model you select to play, all of your fighting strength is the same. Your walk / run speed may vary based on what move style you select but nothing more.
  5. Please read stickies READ THIS FIRST Post a diagnostic log after following all of the directions there.
  6. Reinstall the mod. Make sure you only have dsound.dll (or xlive, if you so choose) but not both. Sounds like it could be an asi loader problem. If that doesn't fix it, make sure you run the game as an admin, and the lcpdfr installer as an admin (right click --> run as admin). Make sure you have the exact versions of C++ and .NET required (here and here). EDIT: And, please, try to use standard font sizes and colors. Reading some of your post was difficult. Thanks Sniper.

  8. You can use only one police car at a time but modify as many of the police cars as you want (assuming you have a strong enough computer), if that is what you mean. Since this strays from the original topic / problem, further questions about modding like this can be answered by making a thread in the GTA IV forum under Content Modifications, assuming your questions haven't been answered before.

This forum section is for suggestions to enhance the LCPD:FR gameplay via callouts, new world events, et cetera. This is not for custom cars or skins.
  11. I highly doubt children will ever be in Grand Theft Auto. Bad press would be completely explosive.

  14. I usually just shoo them away with an rpg with alt+k. There's so many homeless people on the streets that it is not practical to arrest all of them, and arresting just 1 would be unfair in most cases.
  15. I would assume it would use the RAGE engine (Rockstar Advanced Game Engine) anyways, since R* made it.
  16. It sounds like the mod didn't install correctly. You'll have to reinstall LCPDFR.
  17. Generally, both GTA IV and the LCPDFR installer MUST be run as an administrator to avoid problems. If you don't know the admin password, you are not the admin. Unfortunately, only the computer admin account can install LCPDFR (since it modifies files in the programs folder).
  18. @Kjel If any of that is true I will be so happy Just the thought of tear gas is amazing. I also don't believe R* will ever have children in the game. This is mainly due to the fact that then the children would be subjected to all of the crime, murders, etc of the GTA world. The bad press would be explosive. All of that is my opinion, of course. @Joro +1 to you to offset your negatives.... Standing up for something you believe in should never get you a -1, ever.
  19. Like the person above you said, the needed images are already attached to the thread. Open the images, right click --> save as ... and then save them somewhere. Use OpenIV or SparkIV (Sniper prefers Open, in this case) and replace the textures he tells you to.
  20. Okay guys, let's play nice now and stay on topic :ermm:
  21. I just hope the FBI have some sick new cars, like Suburbans or other undercover cars, like sports cars. The "Dodge Charger" in IV is good, but I say the FBI could use some upgrading.
  22. I'm sure it will. Probably a month or so after console releases though (if R* continues on their typical path).
  23. I don't really think the officer looks female, but I hope R* does incorporate female officers. I am loving all of the unique license plates I'm seeing, though. Finally, no more license plates that all say the same damn thing. Hopefully.
  24. Still TBA.
