  1. Not sure if I've seen a better LCPDFR action video than those ones.  Very nice work and great editing.

  4.   They're still treated separately.
  5. I run GTA IV on my MacBook from time to time.  You won't get anything above 30 FPS on it, but it'll run it without problems on medium settings.   Note that if you're getting one of the new MacBooks, only the top of the range model with the dedicated graphics chip, I think its the GT750M, will have any hope of running GTA IV, and should do so fairly well.   You'll also need to run Windows on it.  I run Windows 8 on mine.

  7.   Just make your recording louder then!
  8. Probably quite possible in TLAD, although I doubt it could be done in IV or TBOGT.
  9. Great find.  I just got the ones for SA and gave them a shot, they're nice cars - would be awesome to have in IV.
  10.   Painful to watch the bit with the car door fiasco!  Just drag her over to the open door and press E to seat her inside :).  Alternatively, if you have ELS running or something, you don't even have to open the door - you can just drag her to the closed door and press E, it will place her inside as well.  I think that's in the tutorial as far as I can remember.     Oh and you should always call a helicopter when you get a visual loss on a suspect, especially on a far away pursuit.  Traffic does not spawn far away from the player, meaning no AI units will join in and the suspect will have all the roads completely free to himself to escape.  Helicopters are insanely useful in 1.0, and can be called in on any pursuit.  Plus if you're feeling a bit violent you can set the helicopter tactics to aggressive and authorise lethal force, then call in a helicopter.  You'll get a NOOSE gunship and it will shoot at the suspect.
  11. Nope, that's right. There's two suspects there, so it is actually two pursuits. This way it means that the two suspects can split up, and both will still be chased.

  13. We've released a hotfix which addresses many issues reported to us regarding LCPDFR 1.0. In specific, this release includes multiple stability enhancements and some bug fixes. See '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> for a more detailed look at the changes, and to download the hotfix. Note that the manual installation package has been updated to include the hotfix - you do not need to apply it if you are using the updated manual installation package. Otherwise, simply download the LCPDFR 1.0a Hotfix file, and extract it to your GTA IV or EFLC root directory. As always, please report problems to us in the LCPDFR support section.
  14.   I think you need a few more 1.0 tips!   For the drunk driver calls, they're not active pursuits when you accept them.  You should catch up to the driver and attempt to pull them over - they don't always run either.  Active pursuits that you are involved in are easily identifiable by the flashing red and blue circle on the map - this is the search area for the suspect (you can also increase its size by calling a helicopter (CTRL N by default)).   Make use of the pursuit tactics menu as well.  The reason the cops obliterated the guy on the bike was because he ran over a cop when the chase started.  They have a tolerance value, which is decreased every time the suspects piss them off.  When the suspect attacks them, the tolerance value decreases rather rapidly.   Also make sure your Taser is properly installed and working - the AI cops will make good use of it.   Don't forget you can call things in with ALT + E, especially if not in an active pursuit.  If someone attacks you, call it in, and an active wanted hunt will start on them (you'll see the red and blue flashing search area, and other units will try to arrest them).   I do like your videos though, you should do an ARV one next time.
  15. You have to find the right niche, and you have to offer something that other websites don't.  When you make a gaming community, you are essentially entering a hugely overcrowded and saturated market if you like.  There's probably millions of them out there, and you'll find yourself being literally one in a million.   I would say that you can't simply start with the finished product (a large, active, wide ranging gaming forum), but rather you have to start with something much more concentrated and specific.  You can have fifty gaming sections covering everything from GTA to Battlefield to NFL to Sims games, but nothing's ever going to happen in them.  On the other hand, if you have a core userbase which is passionate and active about a few subjects, like people were about police stuff in GTA when this place started, that's a much better place to start.  If you have this concentrated activity, you have a better chance at attracting new members who are interested because there might not be another website out there which has the same level of activity about the subject they are interested in as you do.  Of course, this doesn't apply to games themselves GTA, don't make a GTA forum, there's hundreds, and all of them are dwarfed by GTANet.  You need to find something that works, something that people are interested in and more importantly, something that you are interested in.  You already have an active core by the looks of things, your focus should be to grow this, not expand it.  Save the expansion for later.  It's much easier to expand a large community than it is a small one.   Often you'll find that big communities started out as a small project, and you can look at things like multiplayer mods for games and such for evidence of this.  Take SA-MP for example, it has an active community that isn't focused entirely on SA-MP - it has modding, it has programming, it has gaming.  Then look at some of the more popular SA-MP servers like LS-RP.  It has another big community, and again it isn't focused 100% on the server - it too has modding (more so than SA-MP) and gaming.   And you need a .com domain.  You won't get taken seriously on the web without one.
  16.   I'll look into the arresting thing, although traffic stops aren't something we can change right now.  Perhaps in a later version we might rework how they are initiated.
  17. Moments like these are what keep us going really.  All too often we get moaned at or criticised or given a hard time, sadly it's quite rare to actually get praise or anything even remotely resembling something happy.  It was very kind of you to donate towards us and the work we do.  It means a lot to us to have someone actually support us - a very welcome change indeed.   Of course I suppose many of you might think that we'd be millionaires with the donations flooding in after the 1.0 release, although that simply isn't the case.  Ineseri's donation is actually only the third one we've had since the release of LCPDFR 1.0, and totals up to more than the total donations we received in the entirety of 2012.  I'm certainly very appreciative of it, and of the support that is sorely lacking these days.  It's quite depressing to say the least to get sent abusive messages such as "all it does is fucking crash you cunts" after working on something for the better part of a year and releasing it completely free of charge.  And yes, sadly, someone did send me that exact message.
  18. I have to agree, your work is excellent DD.

  20.     The miniumum system requirements for the game are:     In both cases, I don't think your systems actually meet the requirements, meaning you shouldn't actually be playing the game - it shouldn't work!
  21. Okay, so a lot of these look like script errors where LCPDFR is trying to access something that doesn't exist.  I've noticed that there are a few problems with the grabbing script related to this as well.  In most, if not all cases, these errors seem to be more prominent on people who are running the mod, with other mods, on a fairly low spec (as far as GTA IV and 2014 is concerned) system.  In many cases, objects, peds and vehicles simply aren't being created fast enough for LCPDFR's liking. Sometimes this is caused by modifications taking longer to load, like higher poly vehicles or peds, and in other cases it is caused by the game not being able to spawn them fast enough due to a slower system.  Of course, we're partly responsible for this as myself and LMS both have relatively high spec systems.  I developed LCPDFR both on my MacBook and my PC (i5 at something like 4.2 GHz, 8GB of fast RAM, a really good graphics card (a GTX 6-- something) and GTA IV running on an SSD).  I did do some performance tests on my MacBook which is much lower spec than my PC, although I suppose it is still good spec for a laptop, so perhaps it was able to cope better than I expected it to.  I think LMS has even better system than mine, and he was developing all of the core engine, so it's very plausible that a lot of issues are because of this.  Sure, we did have about 12 people testing the mod, and they all have different systems, but by December 15th or so, everyone was reporting that LCPDFR was running well.   One of the things we're going to over the next few development days is add code to preload all of the models that LCPDFR spawns.  This should hopefully fix a lot of problems with things not spawning in time.  Nonetheless, it would be good to know if we're actually on the right lines here, so if you could all give some details about your computers (Processor model and speed, graphics card model and memory size, hard drive type (the one that IV is installed on), RAM amount and speed), that would be great.

  23. Post stuff like this in the GTA IV section, it's not LCPDFR related.   Moved.
  24. You can install a less cops mod, which reduces the amount of cop cars on patrol in Liberty City. http://gtaforums.com/topic/403696-relivless-cops-around-liberty-city/
