  1. UPDATE: 16:00 GMT, Sunday 29 Dec 2013: We've been informed that LCPDFR 1.0 does not support any versions of Windows XP - Microsoft is phasing out support for Windows XP and as such, the .Net Framework 4.5 is not compatible with it. We are now aware of this and are looking into alternative solutions. We do, however, highly recommend that if you are still running Windows XP, you should upgrade to Windows 7 or Windows 8, as it is a 12 year old operating system and many applications, programs and systems no longer support it. Hi everyone, For those of you experiencing problems with LCPDFR 1.0, here's a quick update about what we're doing to try to put things right: Firstly, when making support topics, it is absolutely essential that you post your LCPDFR.log, AdvancedHook.log and AdvancedHookInit.log. If these log files do not exist, please say so in your support thread. Do not post a support thread without either including these or saying they don't exist - it is very hard to help you when we have to reply asking for these logs, slowing down everything. Next up, we've noticed that a considerable amount of issues with LCPDFR 1.0 are arising from modified ped models. This was something that we overlooked, sadly, and we hadn't anticipated any problems of this nature as in the past, it was vehicle modifications which caused the most trouble. In any event, we'll do what we can to release a fix for these problems as soon as possible. See the bottom of this post for an archive with the default police models. props and data files. Thirdly, there's some issues regarding the Taser and the AdvancedHookInit.asi not being able to inject the data file lines for the Taser files. While this should work on systems where everything is correctly installed, where the file permissions on the GTA IV directories and files are NOT set to read only, and where the game is being run as an administrator, we do have a workaround nonetheless. Finally, to everyone that is having problems, I know it isn't practical in all cases, but manually installing the modification on a clean, unmodified copy of the game, updated to 1.0.7.0 or 1.1.2.0 (EFLC), should fix any problems that would arise from installation issues or other modifications. Please note that you will need to install Microsoft's .Net Framework 4.5 first, which you can do so here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 Also, please make sure you install the C++ Redistributable 2012, found here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 Some people have fixed their issues by installing the latest DirectX runtimes, found here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 MANUAL TASER DATA FILE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE: pclcpdfrmodels.img pclcpdfrWeaponInfo.xml pclcpdfrdefinitions.ide IF SO, DO THE FOLLOWING: MAKE A BACKUP OF commondataimages.txt ADD TO commondataimages.txt platformimg:/lcpdfr/models 1 AFTER THE LINE platformimg:/data/maps/east/bronx_w2 0 MAKE A BACKUP OF commondatadefault.dat ADD TO commondatadefault.dat WEAPONINFO platform:/lcpdfr/weaponinfo.xml AFTER THE LINE WEAPONINFO common:/data/weaponinfo.xml MAKE A BACKUP OF commondatagta.dat ADD TO commondatagta.dat IDE platform:/LCPDFR/DEFINITIONS.IDE AFTER THE LINE IDE platform:/DATA/MAPS/PROPS/vegetation/Int_veg.IDE Need a copy of the original, default, unmodified police peds, including props and data files? Default Police Peds.rar
  2. Could you perhaps try using the manual installation and see if it works then? All you should have to do is extract the zipped folder into your IV directory, then choose either dsound or xlive from the ASI loaders folder - I'd recommend xlive in this case, just for testing. Make sure that you replace any files it asks about.
  3. Thanks, we appreciate it :)
  4. Can you give me the log files?
  5. If you look at the common key definitions section in the Appendix 1, you'll see it's caps lock.
  6. In the ScriptHookDotNet console, type in 'forceduty' and enter.
  7. It's been 2 years in the making, but it's finally here. We're all delighted to announce the public release of LCPDFR 1.0, which you can find here, http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/download/4607-lcpd-first-response/, in our downloads section. We're sorry for the temporary loss of service after the countdown hit zero. Despite our best efforts, we just couldn't cope with what was the highest volume of traffic the LCPDFR website has ever seen. Nonetheless, with service restored, we invite you all to download and enjoy the latest version of LCPDFR. On behalf of the entire team, Sam. MODERATOR NOTICE This is not a place for LCPDFR Support. 8. Assuming that the timer is for 1.0, yes, that would be advisable.
  9. This forum is for support for the website only, please post this in the GTA IV support forum next time, thanks. Topic moved.

  12. Hah, you think the FDLC cares about innocent property damage? The big change is that they take a bit longer to come now, which is more realistic, and sort of adds to the experience a bit when you're wondering if they'll get there in time before everyone is dead. I think its a pretty core feature that they kill more people than they save though.
  13. We don't have one, sorry. Can you not lower the YouTube quality settings?
  14. Back in September we announced LCPDFR 1.0 to be released later this year and showed off a 10 slide preview of the core features with some commentary and analysis from both LMS and myself. Today, in the spirit of Christmas, and because NB is such a Grinch and it will deeply upset him, we're pretty happy to be able to finally show off the next version of LCPDFR in all its glory in an action packed video preview. So here it is, a little present from the team to you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pb16xKPt8o0 From all of us here, have a great Christmas and be sure to stay tuned over the next couple of days - business is about to pick up. Sam.
  15. So I was hunting for clues in the image HTML. It didn't go so well :(
  16. My sources in the server room tell me the Bandmin is getting rather excited about tomorrow. Apparently we're in for a real treat.
  17. Hah, the Systems Bandmin only just discovered stringing together a coherent sentence. Do you really think he/she/it knows anything about resolution?
  18. Placed prominently on his profile, he'll surely have no smile. Careful as you witness, he might just steal Christmas. The Grinch is the one that steals Christmas. Look at some of the people with the most posts and see who most closely resembles the Grinch.
  19. The first riddle is here: > Under the screenshot, it says "For all things pictorial, one requires a tutorial." This should lead you to the next screenshot and riddle. There are 5 riddles and 6 screenshots to find.
  20. I guess you get the accolade of solving the riddles first? And 6 screenshots?
  21. I guess you get the accolade of solving the riddles first? And 6 screenshots?
  22. You've gotta hand it to the admin for coming up with these riddles and screenshots, he's come a long way from http://www.lcpdfr.com/statuses/user/1-g17-media/?status_id=186
  23. We need a documentary for lcpdfr.com, the last bit can discuss the disturbing developments where people started hallucinating, numbers were appearing and members were becoming increasingly paranoid, fanatical and insane by the day. Might go well with some of this as the sound track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jK-NcRmVcw Scary times. At least in the documentary you can just end it on a cliffhanger or something, fade to black, whatever, we don't have that luxury in reality though. What if everyone starts eating each other when their imaginations tell them the countdown is finished?
