Featured Replies

So I was looking on the games page where I always buy my games. And just for fun I looked also for GTA V and it said "In store on 23th of May 2013"

I was happy to see a release date but its quite a long time until we have 2013

the official release date is actually March 24th 2013

Every game store says something different, some affirms it's out in October, others in November and others in 2013, I guess are placeholders or marketing strategies.

Anyway gotta say that would be pretty realistic date of release.

I think too.I mean october is a little bit to early for such a big game.

Rockstar like to play with peoples minds, sadly, wen and if it is released on PC it'll be at least 4-5 years before it can be modded, but, the sooner the better.

4 to 5 years? Never. OpenIV supported Max Payne 3 (what is afaik using the same engine as V) some weeks after release, the first car mods for IV were released I think about one year after the release.

I'll be happy as long as the PC version gets released at the same time as the console version. I'm pretty sure they will release a PC version, there were so much people that bought the game for modding.

wow i was anticiapting a much longer time perid for V modding, so Max Payne 3 modding is probably already underway?

I don't hold my breathfor PC version to be released rightaway, i would expect MAYBE 6-8 months after the release of console version.

I really think all of the modder on all GTA IV communities cant wait to start figuring out how to make mods for V.I will try night and day when I have V

Last time I saw somewhere the release date was around the middle of November possibly between the 18th and the 25th, maybe. I could be a little off on the dates.

According to Gamespot, the game will most likely have to be released before March of 2013. This is based on Take Two's substantial loss of $110M reported recently, and their need to recover by the end of fiscal year.

http://www.gamespot....-launch-6378622

"For perspective on just how big the game is for the publisher, Take-Two's previous fiscal year saw total revenues of $825.8 million. The publisher has projected this year's sales to hit $1.75 billion to $1.85 billion. That uptick has led to widespread agreement from analysts that GTAV will launch in Take-Two's current fiscal year."

Its the money! Its also expected to sell 14M copies on launch day according to analysts. I mean, GTA IV had the best launch day, PERIOD, for an entertainment product. "Highest Revenue Generated by an Entertainment Product in 24 Hours, It sold 3.6 million copies on day one, which equaled roughly $310 million in revenue." - Guinness World Record.

i think they will release in november and that pc version isn't gonna take too long this time, look at max payne 3 that didn't take 6 months,

i pretty much know that allot of gamers will be sad when the pc version is gonna be late.

I think that they are working on the pc already for a while because the game is in 6 years development already.

It could be spring of 2013, it could be this Christmas, until they post a date of when to expect it, it's all up for debate. Personally, when it comes to a PC version I hope they work on it to make sure it works a bit better on the PC platform than IV did. I think that was the biggest complaint most people had about GTA IV on PC.

It's only been just over four years since the release of GTA:IV. But then again, L.A. Noire is still going strong in being unmoddable.

I can't believe people actually allow themselves to get all hyped over a video on youtube that mentioned a supposed release date. Unless it comes from R* itself, chances are it's not true. The only person that will be disappointed when it isn't released on the date you believed from the internet is you, so don't believe it and just patiently wait for it to come out.
