GTA V & LSPDFR Too Easy?

Featured Replies

One of the only problems I have with V and LSPDFR is that it's simply too easy. There is little to no risk of dying unless you are being shot by 15 different people all at once. And even then it takes over 20+ rounds to kill you. Jeff Favigano, SteveTheGamer, First30Minutes, all of them have never died while playing LSPDFR or patrolling. It's nearly impossible unless you stand still and sponge bullets intentionally. And even then it takes time.  IV was also rather easy, but LCPDFR added an optional " Hardcore " mode for those seeking a more realistic and unforgiving experience. I understand LSPDFR is nowhere near 1.0 like LCPDFR, however it would be great if a Hardcore mode could be added in the near or distant future. Due to this I am currently using a Gun Shot Wound script, to simulate a hardcore mode for LSPDFR. If anyone is interested in the script let me know and I'll share a link with ya'.

I found this as well, which is why i decided to try plugins such as removing the reticle, meaning when shooting it is alittle harder. Additionally to this there was one (cant remember the specific name) i used to use that made gunshots take more damage, therefore i was unable to take as many shots which led to me taking cover more, call for backup and me dying a lot more often.
Dont take my for it but whilst testing, i have found the hostile AI in general more challenging whether it be within pursuits or within shoot-outs than previous. I know the AI has been dramatically improved so hopefully your concerns will be soon-to-go.

Smart man, I have the remove reticle script as well!. And luckily my concerns are resolved with the " Gun Shot Wound " Script , I don't know what I would do without it!. Hopefully in 0.4 with the new AI changes it will be even more challenging!.

Also if your rig can handle it grab World of Variety. It adds more gangs to San Andreas thus making it a "hardcore mode" because you'll never know who has a weapon.

I had the same, but there are some awesome mods to make it harder, especially a mod called InjuredRagdoll, this makes you ragdoll when shot (at first glance it sounds really annoying but its really not). It's extremely customizable, I have it so when I have body armor on I don't ragdoll, but without it, I do. I have it set to a second of ragdolling so if I get hit can't just keep aiming perfectly and keep shooting making getting behind cover essential.

Secondly I use Weapon_Recoil with as it says, adds recoil to weapons, I wish it was even more extreme but it works really well when  you also don't use a reticle:

Here are both mods:

https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/injured-ragdoll-enhanced

Also I use this which you can configure so that NPC's don't ragdoll when they have body armor: https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/npc-ragdoll-tweaks

Mod it until you break it.

That's the one I mentioned in the OP and a reply, I have it already and am in love lol. I really want to talk to the creator and have it uploaded here, I know a lot of users here don't go to other modding websites. I may talk to the creator and get him to register and post it here. It needs more exposure and use with LSPDFR players. Most people just use it to make going on classic GTA killing sprees harder, but it's PERFECT for adding realism and a serious challenge to LSPDFR. It has even been written about in articles regarding GTA V and PC gaming.

Been using it for a long time now, when Script Hook V is not working and it does not load I don't even feel like playing LSPDFR. It's simply not fun to march around with vanilla health like robocop shooting your way through every callout or situation. Locational Damage and Deadly Headshots is also a decent alternative as Peanut listed, however I am of the opinion GSW2 has more features and depth.

Yeah, but police still shoot peds even if they are unconscious xD. And my character died a lot of times from being run over by police cars xD.

Dismissed.

I've seen Jeff F get it by a sniper in one of his vids.  He teleported back and saw the guy had a sniper rifle and that is why he got killed with one shot.  I get shot up at times.  If I get a call for a terrorist and I get too close and he fires his rocket launcher at me, i'm a goner.   Maybe i just haven't played as long as you all have so I'm not that good.  Sometimes for me I'm pressing a button to duck or get my gun out and my character isn't doing it.  In the mean time I'm gettin' lit up.  So I don't know.

Seen Jeff, Steve and Carson get killed multiple times.   Granted the game is pretty easy and the more you play the better it is to avoid death.  Perhaps in the new 0.4 patch, they will include new scenarios that will make it more challenging.

Yeah, if you trigger like a gang altercation deep in a territory all the red blips can quickly all tear down your armor and health. In the Grove Street and Davis areas and such you can actually get killed like that even with no health modifications.

I personally can't say I've experienced this, and generally I'm playing in a British format so if someone has a gun I'm a goner pretty quick. When it comes to youtubers I wouldn't be surprised if they had godmode on to prevent being shot halfway through a video as it breaks the effect. I could be wrong.
